I started this program top be able to learn how to code websites, as I have a vision for a business website that I have in mind. It is a very complex site and in order for me to understand everything that goes into it. I need to learn what goes on in the backend. These first 3 weeks have been amazing and I have learned so much in regards to website and coding that exact specifications. Matt has been an amazing instructor and has made it easy to understand. What I once thought was a bunch of gibberish, now makes sense. I look forward to the next course as I bought the Pro.

I can't possibly believe that someone like me who has zero coding knowledge would be able to create my own landing page in just 3weeks. I really enjoyed learning HTML, CSS and Javascript even in short span of time. I also found the course well-paced and the resources were clear and concise. The SheCodes Basic's Workshop was enjoyable and a great introduction to coding. I already had basic HTML and CSS knowledge but not Javascript. For this reason, I was very scared of this coding language, but I'm very surprised. In my personal opinion, I've learned a lot in this time and now I feel much confident in my abilities. I appreciate how well-organized all of the SheCodes workshops have been, and especially that I can work at my own pace. I feel proud of the things I've been able to create! However, I felt that SheCodes and SheCodes Plus were structured best, since we applied our learning to related (but not exact) challenges. With React, it was more like I would follow along and copy, though I could change the styling as I pleased. Still, I would recommend at least the first two workshops for those who are interested in trying out coding with little background to build upon.
I had a limited amount of coding knowledge coming into this workshop, but I feel like the work was structured well and easy to understand. I loved the access to the slack chat it was a wonderful resource while completing this course. I'm excited to continue learning!
Learning Javascript was very challenging, but the step-by-step videos with Matt demystify the entire process and even made it a lot of fun going through the lessons. It is mandatory to dedicate a few hours of practice.
If anyone is curious about coding, I highly recommend Shecodes! I've learnt so much in three weeks its incredible. A big thank you to matt and the Shecodes team for being there every step of the way. Can't wait to start Shecodes plus. 😀

This was such a fun adventure into the world coding! I feel like I've begun learning a new language - that of computers, which has allowed me to design my own projects! I had never done any coding prior and the intro course was easy to follow and explore HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I love the mission of this company and support their endeavors to get more women into coding. I feel confident that the skills I learned here will help me launch new career opportunities in tech!

Learning the basics of coding is fundamental. I know by experience as my first taste of coding I jumped right into Python and I was scarred. I could not understand what certain variables or tools it applies to so I put coding on a stop. Then I started seeing SheCodes on my IG ad feeds and reading its testimonials from other students that made me want to jump back onto coding and its one of the best decision for my 2021 goals!
I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn coding from scratch. This is awesome.

I was thinking of learning to code way before I found SheCodes. However, I never followed through as it seemed unattainable for me as a person without any concept of what coding actually was in the first place. As insurmountable a problem it appeared to be, when Matt compared code to language it made much more sense to me. I am happy to have learned its basics and hope to deepen my coding skills in the near future and apply them professionally.

In comparison to the introduction workshop, this one was really challenging for me as I already had basic HTML and CSS knowledge, but not JavaScript. The SheCodes course were fun to do and I really enjoyed the time spend on this. The explanation were easy to follow and you were able to get help whenever you were in a pinch. I definitely recommend these courses as you will learn a lot while having fun.
The SheCodes Responsive workshop is the front-end training you are looking for. Perfectly explained and trained responsiveness. Even in a 3 month bootcamp you won't learn responsiveness so well as in the SheCodes Responsive workshop. Attending this course gave me more confidence in my front-end skills for my work.
I tried this programme out of curiosity, as I was eager to learn something new outside of my degree. I really enjoyed it because the learning was broken down into manageable chunks and whenever I needed help I could count on getting support from the community. SheCodes Basics is a great stepping stone for anyone looking to learn a little about building websites. Even if coding is not in your future - this class will provide any small biz owners with the right amount of knowledge to build/run their own business site.
Such an amazing journey it's been for me, from learning the fundamentals of Web Dev, to Vanilla JS and now React. After so many frustrating and expensive online tutorials and courses, SheCodes was a breath of fresh air for someone with no coding background like me. Matt is a fantastic teacher, he really knows his stuff! Every workshop is well designed and a lot of thought was put into these. Concepts are conveyed with examples and described in a simple and easy fashion, so you don't feel overwhelmed. The lessons are super easy to follow, and homework and projects are great to put everything into practice by yourself. Couldn't recommend more!

I was so happy to see SheCodes launched a new workshop. And now that it's finished I'll be waiting for more. My first contact ever with code, less than an year ago, was with SheCodes. After I finished the last workshop, I continued to studied by myself. And now, while watching the responsive workshop I've realized how much I was able to learn all by myself, because I've realized that things that were so hard to understand before, were looking pretty easy now. And it is all thanks to SheCodes for giving me the first push.
I tried the "going it alone" route by watching Youtube videos and became immediately overwhelmed and confused. After seeing the SheCodes ads while watching videos, I clicked on the ad and decided to try out the Free Coding Class that SheCodes offers. And I am so glad I did. I needed structure and community in order to learn how to code and Matt was the perfect instructor. He "decoded" coding for me and I realized this isn't just a phase - I really enjoy coding and I am looking forward to taking the next classes so I can continue to develop this new skillset. I'm a UX designer and took the workshop to learn how to code so I can better communicate and collaborate with developers. I was surprised how much fun it was to code! Matt is great at explaining important concepts and showing you how to code, but he doesn't spoon-feed you everything. He gives you the resources so you learn to research and trouble shoot. Of course there's a whole community of students and Matt himself on Slack to help and support you too when you're stuck. Matt is a rock star and I enjoyed SheCodes Radio while I was coding. It's been an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to everyone!

SheCodes React workshop has been intense and super fun. I surely want to learn more about JavaScript and React, but now I have same solid base to continue my journey into coding.

I truly enjoyed and learned so much throughout these 8 weeks. The way the course is divided and how task oriented it is, really makes some very challenging concepts feel much less overwhelming and more approachable. Although I think I will forever find JavaScript complicated, SheCodes Plus made me fear it a bit less. Oh and I still love sheCodes Radio!
React has been more challenging than the previous workshops but still very fun and enriching. Very engaging content and easy instructions to follow even with more complex topics, it is very well explained. It gives a "real-life" coding experience. The final project to work on is a great example with a lot of possibilities and challenges to try and learn. I really enjoyed this course, I gained a lot of practical experience and so much motivation.

It was highly enjoyable and a great learning experience! There were many roadblocks throughout this course but the challenge is well worth it! Overall, coding this app from scratch was pretty fun and I feel like I REALLY accomplished learning something complex at a pace that works for me.

I learned the basics of coding in university and always loved it. Unfortunately, over the years I lost the majority of my knowledge, but my aspiration to relearn it never died. I researched tirelessly to find a program that worked for me - something that was part-time, distance-ed, and worked with my full-time career - and then I found SheCodes. I've been loving the program so far and can't wait to learn more to progress my career!
Learning how React works was very fun and interesting. The algorithms of loopings were quite new for me. The projects that are developed during the course are useful and fun, they are well guided and the developers have room for own investigation and creativity. Thank you!

SheCodes Plus has been a very interesting workshop, I learned a lot during the lessons.
SheCodes is a really great course for whoever wants to start from the basics of coding. The videos are really informative and take you step by step in learning all the techniques of the different coding languages. Even though this is an online course, all resources are at the students' disposal every time we get stuck while studying.
Every SheCodes workshop is short but detailed enough to make the content easy to understand and remember. After every workshop there is a little challenge to apply the information you just learned - for me it was perfect because I learn through repetition. I had so much fun in these first three weeks and I loved how much I have already learned. It has already opened so many doors for me - albeit mentally - and I can't wait to dive further into the coding world.
Taking the foundations built in both the first and second SheCodes courses, Matt deftly explained and applied the same concepts in React, showing both the extent of what we had learned and the complex applications of what we could now do. I feel much more confident in my ability to apply what I've learned in past courses and better able to approach the problem-solving aspects of coding, along with now having a solid understanding of the framework and capabilities of React.
