I loved learning coding on SheCodes! The classes were easy to understand, and the course is structured so that it is easy to follow while keeping up at your own pace (and it was so much fun!) I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in learning code!
I had tried to learn coding languages a few months ago using Youtube videos and CodePen alone, and I ended up giving up because it didn't give me any structure to learn. I found SheCodes through Instagram and signed up for the free webinar and after a short into to HTML and CSS, I realized it really wasn't all that complicated. This course has been great in teaching me how to problem solve and organize my code, and I discovered I actually really enjoy the critical thinking skills that coding requires. I will be going onto learn more JavaScript and possibly some other in demand coding skills in the marketing sector, as I now have another skill I enjoy to pair with my passion for marketing.
I am so happy to have found SheCodes. I am completely new to coding and this was the perfect place to start. The workshops are fun and engaging. The challenges and homework really help you learn in a hands-on approach. I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop!
I'm a graphic design student who's always curious on how to do coding and luckily enough, I saw from a friend's Instagram story, she join SheCodes 3 months ago and I look up at their website and thought it would be interesting to learn basic of coding and here I am just finish my final project and I absolutely love every course. Matt was incredible and he really taught us step by step through the process.
I really enjoyed this workshop. I had lots of fun. It was perfect balance of guidance and challenges. I like it is remote and I could work on it in my spare time. I learned a lot. :)
I've always been skeptical about learning to code, but with this course, I had so much fun and I hope many other girls like me won't fear the pressure into getting to tech and computer fields!
I always wanted to learn but felt overwhelmed and confused when I tried to teach myself. The basics workshop provided a great foundation to learn some key skills and it was really enjoyable! :)
Great for having some structure and deadlines to hold yourself to while you learn how to code. The amount of material is also very achievable to get through when you are limited on extra time to commit to learning (approx. 5 hours / week compared to 10+ hours with other programs. I also like the nice mix of bite size videos and exercises to get hands on practice with the concepts.
I really enjoyed this beginners workshop. It has just the right amount of information for someone who does not have any foundation with coding. I learned a lot and I am excited to keep practicing and achieving more on my coding journey.
I am a complete beginner and SheCodes Basic taught me a lot! Matt is an excellent instructor and he does a great job breaking down the lessons into digestible parts. I'm proud of everything I learned to be able to make my final project from scratch!

I started coding with SheCodes Basics and then continued to SheCodes Plus - such a pleasant and fun course, where you can actually learn how to code! 👩💻 It was so much fun to create a useful (and working🔨) weather app - I would definitely recommend these courses to anyone who has an interest in coding😊. I'm quite sure I'll return and continue my path with SheCodes at some point - it's so addictive👀!!
SheCodes Plus was the perfect course to learn and unleash my creativity in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The SheCodes team is kind and attentive. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn front-end dev skills and have a great time doing it.
After completing SheCodes Basics, the SheCodes Plus course was a steep learning curve – but I knew I had support every step of the way. The in-depth lessons of this course have helped me understand how to connect CSS, Javascript, and HTML to work with one another, as well as how to integrate APIs effectively. All in all, I've gained new and practical knowledge. If you're someone looking to take your coding skills to the next level, I highly recommend this course!
A fun and interactive way to learn how to code from anywhere in the world at any time.
It was a truly fun experience to get some basic understanding of how coding actually works! Matt's way of explaining the rules and "grammar" is simple, and thus easy to follow for all the newbies out there. I really enjoyed the small challenges inbetween as well as the weekly homeworks. If you enjoy the "learning by doing" approach, SheCodes is definitely for you!
It was a valuable and fun experience. The pace was perfect and by being able to practise through the exercises/homeworkers as I was learning made the process more rewarding.

I've been self-learning to code for about 5 months now and taking this workshop really help solidify the knowledge I had been trying to suck into my brain. After taking this workshop I feel more confident to just code and learn as I go and keep adding more knowledge to the library in my head!

I am so happy I found SheCodes! I had been learning how to code on my own for a few months already. And though I did learn quite a bit, I was struggling a lot. I felt lost in this new world, and it was very easy to procrastinate. This course has given me the structure that I needed and it really is set up in a way that eases you in so you don't feel so overwhelmed. A great introduction to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Coming into this with no previous knowledge, the workshops have been incredibly easy to follow and I've learnt so much in 3 weeks!
I always hesitated to even start coding but SheCodes motivated me to explore JSS, CS and HTML. I had fun watching and learning from Matt's videos and applying my knowledge right after.
This was a super fun course and since I am a visual learner, the videos worked really well for me. It has been great to understand a topic that felt so foreign to me before this course. I have loved being part of a community of people from all over the globe. I also have a twin brother that is an amazing programmer and I have loved being able to learn and discuss coding with him! Highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to try coding or just to understand how websites are built. Matt demystified how websites work with great metaphors and after 3 short weeks, I've built my first website! I thoroughly enjoyed each assignment and looking forward to learn even more!

I always wanted to learn how to code but I was always giving the excuse that I didn't have the proper time to invest in it. So far, it has been a great journey and I'm happy with the final result, especially finding out that it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, thanks to Matt. This course was amazing. I was able to start with no experience in coding at all and everything was explained and demonstrated really well in the lessons. The final project allowed you to put what you learnt into practice and also challenge yourself! I highly recommend it!

I've learned HTML and some CSS and no JavaScript at all prior. I signed up for this workshop as a way to dip my feet into web development with the ultimate aim of switching careers into tech. The workshop structure made it easy to learn the basic introductory concepts for each of the three programming languages. The short video lessons (with supplemental documentation) taught the concepts in small manageable chunks. The lesson challenge exercises, solution thereafter, weekly assignment, and finally the project force you apply the concepts all the while keeping you accountable so you start AND finish the workshop. Great workshop on the basics. I enjoyed it. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!
A brilliant course that is challenging, yet super rewarding! 🙌 The lessons are delivered in bite-sized chunks with challenges along the way to put into practice everything you're learning. And the support available via Slack is super helpful too.
After working through the basic workshop, I knew I had to take coding a bit further. The Plus workshop is certainly a challenge, but I feel more confident than ever that I can tackle any task or problem presented to me. I've started accepting client projects already, and while there's still much to learn, it feels great to have made it this far! Onwards to REACT!

Learning with Matt was a very unique and thrilling experience. While learning how to code, I felt like I was at a chemistry lab mixing it all up, testing and then Voila; magic happens. I had very little coding experience prior to this class and was a bit nervous to take it. I'm so glad I did! It was fun to learn the basics and convenient that we could do the videos and assignments at our own pace. My new knowledge and skills will help me to be a stronger asset to my team.
This workshop has exceeded my every expectation :) I always had a curiosity to learn about coding, however never really invested much on that idea because I thought that it was impossible without a computer/enginnering/math degree and I felt that I didn't have what it takes... After finishing SheCodes Basics I decided to learn more through SheCodes Plus. Building my very first weather application proved to be very challenging at times but so worth it! Having completed shecodesBasics, I really enjoyed it and decided to take the next step to ShecodesPlus. This one was much more challenging and it took me much longer than expected (due to being on maternity leave and looking after a young baby full time!). The team are very understanding and supportive and I genuinely don't think there is another course out there like this one. Thanks so much to the Shecodes team for producing this course for people like me! Definitely taking it even further and going on to do React as I've learnt so much already and keen to learn more!
Beyond excited with all the amazing things I've learned in this workshop! I am now confident to apply my new skills and build responsive websites. Next step, React Workshop!

SheCodes Plus was indeed challenging as JavaScript can be super confusing and not at all intuitive to a complete beginner. After completing this course, I can confidently present my weather app that I coded (and actually understood the process of) through Matt's efficient and eloquent way of teaching. Anyone can code but not many can create such a well thought out module, his own platform and most importantly, teach. I'm looking forward to learning more in SheCodes React.
This section was a little more challenging than I originally thought, but once I learned everything and how it all interacts with each other then it made sense. I know feel more comfortable with coding and the logic behind why things are done the way they are makes even more sense. I am excited to keep moving forward with the program and learn even more and to see how things keep building on each other. If you are considering getting into coding this is the program to do it with!! The instructor and the group of helpers he has are just phenomenal!! They are quick to respond and are positive and encouraging but also help you to see your mistakes, and fix them.

I came in as a complete beginner, and I feel like I've learned so much! I like that there is so much practice throughout. As a teacher, I'm amazed at how well the program is designed, with just enough info at a time and then opportunities to practice.
I have been dancing around the idea of learning to code but found most bootcamps too expensive. Then I stumbled upon SheCodes and it has been the most rewarding experience. The basic workshop allows one to "test" the coding waters without too much of an investment of time or money. Matt is an awesome instructor, making each lesson enjoyable and easy to follow. This Basics Course is a great way to find out if we enjoy programming and if this is really what you want to do. You learn all the basics to be able to design and create a website or a landing page. I have always loved computers and the internet since I was little. With SheCodes I learned and understood everything about coding in the SheCodes basic workshop. Now I want to learn more and, one day I hope that one day I'm able to use what I learned here together with my degree.
I started with absolutely no coding knowledge and was able to build a simple webpage by the end. Learning format is really good with learning videos, practical tasks and solutions each step along the way.
Matt is an excellent instructor, and his lessons are easy to follow along and troubleshoot through this online platform. The SheCodes team is happy to help, easy to contact, and quick to respond. Despite being an online/virtual classroom, I thought the material, format, and homework assignments were effective: you'll build upon lessons learned while discovering that there are different paths to the same solution. If you're just a little curious about coding, the SheCodes:Basic workshop is the perfect amount of time and commitment. You'll be surprised at you accomplish in just three weeks!

Definitely a must-learn after the basic programme. Though I wrestled the JS for quite a long time, everything made sense and worked out eventually.

SheCodes Basic course was incredibly fun yet challenging! I was worried that it would be too difficult, but Matt Delac's videos were very well-paced. Each video would come with an objective for you to learn, and we are to follow up by applying the knowledge through mini 'Challenges'. By the end of the Basics course, I found myself having fun and breezing through the Project! Thank you Matt for the guidance and for giving me the confidence to code independently!

SheCodes is very easy to follow for someone who is interested in coding but has always found it difficult to understand. The challenges are helpful for practice of the 'learn' portion of the project. I would definitely continue to the more advanced workshops
This workshop was great, slightly harder than the beginner course but that is to be as expected. I liked how the last couple weeks we got to see how Matt would build the program, I learn visually so that really helped me!
I recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning to code. It's helpful to see the process from beginning to end of how a developer would tackle such project. The help on Slack is great as well!

I've worked in tech and around HTML, CSS and JS for several years, but I was always intimidated by the courses I tried to take to grasp the basics and felt I was very much out of my element. I found SheCodes and really enjoyed the introduction by Matt, so I took the plunge and I'm so glad I did! For the first time in my life, I actually understand the HTML and CSS I'm writing, and I feel confident that I'm learning best practices.
