I can really recommend SheCodes! This was my first time coding, and Matt made everything fun and easy to learn. The whole team at SheCodes are amazing, and they are doing a great job supporting you.
It's been a great experience. I've learnt a lot about myself and gained skills beyond coding. I am excited to see what the future brings. There is still more to learn. This is only the beginning.
I had some knowledge of HTML and CSS since I meddled in coding and everyone had blogs in the 2000s. However, I knew nothing of Javascript and knew very little about the several aspects of CSS. In three weeks, I've learned so much. Matt is energetic and kind and explains things very, very well. I'm extremely excited for the next workshop!

Who knew learning could be this fun! These workshops are incredibly well structured and so easy to understand and follow. Doing homework every week after each lesson and voila - you've created a functioning weather app with no prior knowledge of coding. Absolutely amazing!

Learning code as a total beginner from scratch to proper skills, just one website comes to my mind : SheCodes.io. Lessons, videos, vocabulary, projects, help and feedback from live-support and so on, everything is provided in order to get the best skills.

What a fun and challenging journey it has been! I now understand why JS tends to give developers a headache 😅I have learned so much, and Matt managed to make all this information so much easier and fun to digest. I still can't quite believe I have developed my very own weather app in only 8 weeks. I cannot wait for what is yet to come in the next workshops!

I came across SheCodes on my Facebook, and who knew a harmless click would turn into a 3 week commitment to learning this new skill. I went from knowing nothing about coding to building my first website about something I love. It was a great experience.
I spent an amazing time learning how to code with Matt! I confess, sometimes I felt frustrated with my errors but at the I could accomplish my mission and I finished my course! I had a lot of fun during these three weeks!

SheCodes Basics was a wonderful workshop! Matt teaches in an easy-to-understand and clear way. The challenges at the end of the lessons and the final project were a lot of fun to complete. This was very enjoyable material to learn. The way Matt breaks down each week's topics makes keeping up with and digesting the material very easy. He is a great teacher. Also, making my own landing page felt amazing; seeing my page come to life and acknowledging that just 2 weeks ago I had no idea how to work with html, css and javascript... I'm just blown away. I'm really looking forward to the next set of workshops to build on my skills!!
Learning with SheCodes has been better than I expected. Matt explains everything in a way that anyone could understand. I joined SheCodes because I want to build a skill while also being creative. I would definitely recommend SheCodes to those wanting to be creative! It can open up so many more opportunities.
JS is not an easy language to understand, and what I learned is that I don't really have to understand everything. Just be patient and practice a lot.
I really enjoyed learning, testing, redoing, having other ideas during my course days. The information is clear and if not, you can follow the projects of the other participants, get inspired, talk to people from other countries and bring it all to your final project. I'd like to thank SheCodes' initiative to bring women closer to technology and show that it's possible to learn programming in a practical way at any age and career moment of each one.
SheCodes basic has been a very informative and hands-on experience - I have tried many other coding learning resources before but ultimately kept on forgetting the content and then getting frustrated, SheCodes has not only helped my keep accountable with regular deadlines, but also the compulsory hands-on experience has been brilliant for information retention. I had been worried that the 'basics' course may be too dumbed down, but that wasn't the case at all (substantial but not intimidating!). The reasons however, for why I have given four stars instead of five, is that the pacing during the course could be improved on (loads of content during the first week and significantly less during the following weeks), as well as the 'cost for content' ratio. However, I have still thoroughly enjoyed and benefitted from the experience, and am looking forward to studying the later courses : )
SheCodes proved that coding is not only for people with tech background and is not too complicated to learn. The lessons are bite-sized and not overwhelming, not stiff/boring at all and we can do it in our own pace. Excited for the next workshop.
I've really enjoyed learning to code with SheCodes. The pace is just right, and the Basics workshop is a fantastic introduction for an absolute beginner. I'm looking forward to the next stage of my coding journey with the Plus course.

I have tried to learn to code of other website before and always lost interest but SheCodes lessons are easy to understand and informative, the activities are enjoyable and the community kind and encouraging. Can't say enough about this workshop! Matt makes everything feel so easy. I was just half way through SheCodes Basic when I decided I wanted to continue with SheCodes Plus and I am happy I did! With SheCodes you learn something new with every lesson and you start to really put everything together one step at a time. This workshop was really difficult and required a lot of work. It's amazing how much code we've learned in such a short time. I almost went crazy, but the result is really cool!

I loved taking Matt's course and he explains things a lot better than other resources and I've tried several while self-learning. I think it's great how I can always refer back to SheCodes for learning resources. He simplifies a complex process and makes coding exciting! It is also great that the SheCodes team can help everyone figure out their errors and correct themselves versus struggling to fix the code which could take much longer, save yourself the time and stress and take the course!
My SheCodes journey was incredible, and I liked it so much; the lessons were clear to follow and genuinely challenged me. I was always intimidated and scared by coding; now, I feel eager to learn and discover more. And I can't recommend it enough to anyone who wants to learn in a great environment.
When I first joined SheCodes I was expecting a lot of difficult learning, for some reason and when it started it was easy and fun. It took me a while to finish just three weeks because I am studying in college. I could have finished sooner if I wasn't such a big procrastinator as well. 😂 I ended up just enjoying coding so much I decided to see if there are any degrees at school I can do coding in. Since I did this just for fun I never thought id end up finding out that I have a passion for something more than sleeping, gaming, and anime. 😂
It's very satisfying to make a website look good on desktop AND on mobile devices! It's a lot of work, but the feeling of accomplishment as I put together the portfolio was rewarding. I enjoyed learning all the concepts, and I highly recommend the course to those looking for in-depth web development skills!
After finishing SheCodes Basics, I got a message from Matt asking what my next steps were in my coding journey. I had already enrolled in a longer Full-Stack bootcamp so I told him that I had only planned on taking the SheCodes Basics workshop as an intro into coding. Well, a few weeks into the longer bootcamp and I missed Matt's teaching style and the layout of SheCodes so much that I signed up for SheCodes Plus and attempted both courses at the same time! 😍 Not only was SheCodes Plus an amazing experience that grew my knowledge and confidence in coding, but it helped me understand concepts I was also learning in my longer bootcamp. I can't say enough good things about SheCodes. Will I sign up for SheCodes Responsive next, even though I am still in my bootcamp? The answer is probably, most likely! 😄 Thank you SheCodes! 🙌
This was a great workshop for those wanting to discover web development and develop basic coding skills. I used to feel apprehensive about learning JavaScript, but after this workshop, I feel very excited to keep learning it and discovering all it can do!

Just finished up my last workshop with SheCodes. I'm quite sad to end my journey with them but I have learned a lot. This course was definitely not easy but hopefully with what I learned, I will extend my knowledge even further.

Learned a lot! Was never too overwhelmed and was able to do the challenges as a beginner. I do wish my homework and projects had a detail report on things I could improve on. But the team is great and pretty quick on answering in slack and emails.

Started from SheCodes Basics to React, by far this was the most challenging course. No doubt the learning curve for React was steep, at times the new concepts and functions were hard to grasp. However, Matt's videos always made easier to comprehend. I can't believe that I was able to build 2 React apps within 8 weeks! Looking forward to what's coming next

These first couple of weeks of SheCodes Basics has been awesome, I really enjoyed learning the basics of how to create a landing page! I think so far this was my favorite workshop! I loved learning about the responsiveness and getting insight on how homepage layouts change on mobile devices as well as SEO - something we use every day. I really haven't put too much thought into how all of this actually works so far but it was really, really interesting to learn and actually not as difficult as I thought it would be. Matt is a great teacher and I can't believe how much I have learned in just a couple months. There is one last workshop to complete for me and I am really excited to unlock even more skills and knowledge!

I've tried to learn code many times in the past but have always got stuck. Matt's classes are straightforward and easy to understand, and I've genuinely learned more in the last 3 weeks than I could ever do on my own. So excited to learn more, and to see where these new skills can take me.

Amazing!! it's such a great feeling to know I have learned a new skill and with it can create projects like the Weather App. There are many pros to SheCodes, but the one thing I absolutely love about it is the fact that Matt teaches with real-life examples.

Before I start working on this workshop, I was not sure if I could finish the course because I am a procrastinator when it comes to self-paced. I enjoyed SheCodes Plus as much as I did the introduction course. Learning how to code involves a whole new way of thinking. It has so far been very challenging at times, but it's great fun when you see the end results! It's great that the SheCodes team is always available on Slack to answer any questions.

I loved the mix of videos, exercises and bigger projects at the end to combine and refresh everything that has been learned! After completing the SheCodes Basics and SheCodes Plus workshop I started with SheCodes Responsive and I didn't expect to have so much fun learning to create a responsive website. I love SheCodes! Matt makes everything very easy to understand and even when I get stuck, other members are on Slack who might be having the same issue and you will find what you need. Matt even encourages you to google when you can't find an answer on Slack. I've only gotten stuck twice and found the solution easily by ways of Slack or a simple google search. The homework and projects are a great way to put everything I've learned into action and it's fun for me at the same time. Thank you, SheCodes!
I would highly recommend this workshop for anyone remotely interested in learning how to code! It is ideal for women who work full time as the classes are completely flexible and you can work at your own pace. It has been so interesting working through challenges and thinking logically in order to get the code to work. I look forward to starting the next SheCodes workshop - on to SheCodes Plus!

I think it was my best decision to join SheCodes! 🤩 This real-life weather app project showed the whole process of development totally from scratch.
