SheCodes Basics is a great starting point for learning to code. Matt does a great job of introducing and explaining new concepts. The challenges after each lesson help reinforce the material. Stop reading reviews and start learning to code.
I never thought I would enjoy any computer work let alone coding. I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and would love to continue and learn more !

This is so great idea to learn how to code online. Having a chat application for asking our questions was one of the best parts. After watching videos we were supposed to deal with challenges. Also watching their solution was so helpful.
SheCodes is great! The course is quite challenging for complete beginners, yet I had a lot of fun completing all the homework and submitting my final project. The lessons are clear, well structured and easy to follow, which helps a lot in adapting the workshop to your own schedule and keep track of your learning progress. The SheCodes team is very friendly and supportive, I will definitely recommend this workshop to my friends!
This course was challenging in the best of ways. It's difficult for complete beginners (with the SheCodes Basics course), but it's not over-your-head unfeasible. I think it's important to challenge ourselves and troubleshoot our own ideas when learning new skills, and this course was a great balance of informative videos and challenging homework. Thank you for these past 8 weeks!

Signing up for SheCodes' Basics workshop has been an extremely rewarding (albeit sometimes challenging) experience and has fulfilled a curiosity of mine to learn more about coding. Before this, I'd assumed that coding was something beyond my understanding since I had limited knowledge about IT, but Matt's videos and well-organised curriculum helped break down a complex subject into smaller, digestible parts. I'm so glad that I decided to take the plunge and attend this workshop. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to dip their toes in this fascinating industry.
SheCodes is a very interesting class where the teacher is present every step of your learning path. Your desire of creativity will be fully satisfied as the teacher encourages you to have fun but also to be methodic. This is very practical and I can't wait to discover more about coding !
I already had a bit of previous knowledge of HTML which I think helped to make the process smoother, but this course definitely built a solid foundation for learning web coding and it made me excited to learn more in the future!

I started the Basics course after a friend recommended SheCodes and I really enjoyed every minute of it. It is so well structured and the videos are easy to watch and understand. The program is very interactive and it has a lot of challenges and exercises that help you practise everything you learn. It is an intensive program, so expect putting some time into it. It is great to learn fast. I loved it!
This workshop was absolutely amazing! I was surprised with how quickly and easily I was able to learn the basics of coding. Matt's lessons are clear and very easy to follow, and completing the challenges at the end of the lessons really made me understand how everything works. The SheCodes courses have been great as they provide good learning videos broken into steps along with regular assignments to keep you on track. I have gone from zero knowledge about coding to building websites in JavaScript and React, and integrating API's. It has been such a rewarding journey and you get to share it with an entire community.

Learning the basics of coding was incredibly easy with SheCodes! I love how the courses are structured with challenges to do every step along the way and the deadlines also help to keep myself motivated (I have ADHD so this is actually really important for people like me). I'm not going to lie this was very difficult and frustrating for me but I did enjoy doing the final project. Learning HTML, CSS and especially JavaScript was way harder then I expected. I honestly can't wait tell it's over. It's not going to over soon because I paid for React. Should have started small, my own fault.
SheCodes has been a great experience. A very friendly interphase and a great tutor as well! I look forward to the next stage of learning.

I am a school bus driver that was desperate for a change in life. Through SheCodes, I have gained access to the tech world and have learned something that I thought was impossible to learn!
It is often interpreted that to code, you need to go into a specific field, or you need to be good in math, but that is not true! I am not studying any coding-related degree or am not good at math. I came across SheCodes and I thought that I wanted to learn to code because it is a good skill to have, and I should give it a try. I am so happy that I made that choice and from the comfort of my home, got to learn how to code, and understand everything. I am so grateful for Matt, and all the technical support staff at SheCodes to make SheCodes a place to empower women from across the globe to learn coding and to use it in their career and life.

I really, really enjoyed this workshop. I had started coding at University, where I had various courses on HTML, CSS and JavaScript, but I found the material complicated in how it was taught and often struggled to keep up. Being apart of SheCodes has really boosted my confidence with coding, and made me realise I can do it, just with the right teacher! Matt's lessons have been enjoyable and made coding fun to learn. I've been wanting to learn how to code for a year now, but I have never managed to take serious steps towards this goal since I didn't have a clear path in my mind. SheCodes Basics helped me to learn the basics of front-end development and showed me that it is not as scary as it seems to be. Overall, I had so much fun with this workshop and I am looking forward to taking the next workshops!
I had so much fun learning the basics of coding alongside Matt. Each video is clear, short, and easy to digest. The weekly homework assignments keep you accountable and the slack channel makes it easy to get help 24/7! I can't wait to keep learning more

The structure of the SheCodes Basics workshop is very organised and Matt's explanations are clear and understandable. I enjoyed the small challenges after every topic because it also shows me whether I understood what I just learned. Also, I like that there is a Slack channel where we can communicate with other students as well as ask questions when needed. Though it is an online workshop, it feels personal due to the engagement of the students and the SheCodes team.
I am from Venezuela and currently live in Berlin. I was motivated to learn basic coding so that I could understand more of why its being so popular. I really enjoyed this workshop as its really easy to follow, and it helped me to gain more motivation and improve my creative senses. Self-paced learning fit me perfectly as it gives the opportunity to manage my schedule and train self-discipline.

I'm a digital designer and I've been trying to learn Javascript for a long time. No course has been as clear and practical as the SheCodes Plus. I've manage to replicate the features I learned in the lessons plus get a better understanding of the language to be able to create and add my own.

I wanted to start learning coding, but couldn't find a workshop that seemed intuitive to follow and fun at the same time, until I found SheCodes. SheCodes had me having fun while learning. I learned a lot :)
I joined the SheCodes Basic workshop partly for fun, but also to learn some new skills in an effort to future proof my career. I felt a little nervous when it was due to start - would I be able to keep up? Was it going to be too complex? Would I just end up finding it boring? I didn't need to worry, as I found that the short and sharp videos from Matt were the perfect length to teach the fundamentals without being overwhelming, and I ended up really enjoying the challenges and project. I would often find myself losing track of time because I was so engrossed in what I was doing. I'm going on to SheCodes Plus shortly and really looking forward to seeing where my newfound basic skills will take me!
