Learning to code through SheCodes could not have been a smoother nor more more enjoyable experience. The weekly submissions kept me accountable while the 'learn at your own pace' format allowed me to squeeze it in between my work and personal life. I would highly recommend SheCodes basic to anyone interested in learning to code.
A very fun and easy-to-follow introduction to HTML, CSS and JavaScript! Matt's lessons were very accessible, and SheCodes provided a great entry-point to learning more about coding. I'd recommend SheCodes to anyone.

This course was broken down into manageable chunks that made it easy to stay on top of what had been taught! By the end of this three week course I feel like I have received a very comprehensive introduction to coding and am interested in learning more.
Thanks to SheCodes, I learned how to make a website responsive for all devices. This course make the whole process of building responsive website seem so intuitive and simple. I loved all the tutorials of this course just like the previous SheCodes courses. I feel more confident as I learned this important skill with SheCodes and I built a very nice portfolio so easily as my final project. so I put all my projects in my portfolio to showcase them all at once.

SheCodes is a great way to learn how to code even if you have no prior knowledge!
Prior to this course, I had zero experience with coding. I always thought it was something really hard to learn. I tried to learn by myself but the online class I was taking had no support, it was hard to keep myself motivated. I heard about SheCodes in an online group of women in tech, I did some research and I decided to give it a try. I am very happy that I made the decision to try one more time with SheCodes, I have all the support I need when I get stuck at some part of my code, the lessons are direct and short, very well put together! I am excited to continue on this journey.
What a journey this has been, from learning the basics to being able to create applications in React. This course was mentally challenging and equally rewarding. I will miss Matt's tutorials and forever enjoy re-visiting lessons when I'm stuck!
SheCodes is a great environment to learn how to code. I've never felt this confident that I would walk away from a workshop with a completed portfolio.
SheCodes Basics has been such an enjoyable experience. I started with very little knowledge of coding and learned so much along the way. There were days when I got really frustrated with coding, but as Matt always says you've got to take some time off and try later😤I am really happy to have started this coding journey with SheCodes team. It's been an absolute blast to take this course. Matt makes it so easy and he explains everything in a very pedagogical way. Fun fact: as an engineer I had a very short introduction to Python a few years ago, and I thought it was incredibly boring. Never ever had I thought that I (willingly) would take a coding course in the future. But here I am, and this course have been nothing like my previous experience. All of a sudden coding is extremely fun and I just want to learn more and more. I guess that's the difference between a really good teacher and a not so good one. Now I'm looking forward to taking SheCodes Pro that I will start with on Monday!
I was always doubted to start coding, but I have to confess this course was one of the best learning experiences in my whole life! I highly recommend this course, it was easy to follow and I did not encounter any difficulties. The content is easy to learn and in little time I was able to build pages which work well in any screen size (this is the meaning of responsive). The idea of building a page showcasing all your previous projects is great and SheCodes gives you many materials and ideas so you are not alone in this. I am proud of the page I built and hope it will help to promote my work.
SheCodes was a great way to learn coding. The setup makes it really easy to balance with a full-time job and work at my own pace week to week.
I thoroughly enjoyed learning something new and taking a chance on this coding course. I think coding is going to be an important skill to learn in the future and a lot more people should join in, especially women. After doing the Basic Workshop, I already knew I was going to like it. But it's really unbelievable to me what I've learned in 8 weeks. I wouldn't have thought that I could programme a weather app in such a short time.
After trying to learn web development on my own, this is by far the most progress I've gotten. SheCodes basic helped me understand CSS and Javascript, something I've struggled with for a long time.

I am looking to change careers after 11 years in the retail business. I found this workshop on Facebook. Computers have always intrigued my interests and I had to apply after I signed up for the free workshop they were offering! I have learned so much from this program so far and I'm only on the first workshop! I'm anxious to finish to get started in this field!
This course is perfect if you want to go deeper in your code knowledge. I specially reinforce my JS knowledge. I also learned a lot about how to manage files and improve the pace of work. I literally knew NOTHING about computers. I had to borrow one to do the course. I am BLOWN AWAY that now, in just 3 short weeks, I know some html, css, and java script!! Having tried other coding boot camps and courses before, I discovered SheCodes and decided to try out the free class. Seeing that everything clicked for me, I decided to join the 3-week workshop. It was a blast and I felt I actually learned some basic coding and I feel confident on my journey to become a software engineer.

One of the reasons I like this workshop is that it’s flexible with my schedule and takes a short amount of time to complete. This workshop allows participants to familiarize themselves with coding and comprehend the benefits that it may provide in a variety of professions. This fundamental workshop is well-organized and simple to follow through. It enables us to learn how to code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. However, using the skills we learned in this workshop, we were able to construct, design, and edit our own websites.
It was really fun completing this workshop! I learned a lot and feel like I can now start building my own projects and practice all that I learned. The API integration part is my favorite as well as the styling part when it comes to building the apps. This workshop opened a whole new world to me in that regard. I am super happy with SheCodes!
This was the perfect class structure for me. The workload was just enough with my full-time job and the challenges throughout the weeks were a great way to solidify what I had learned each lesson.
I very much enjoyed the SheCodes Basic course. The pacing was great - I work full time and was worried about managing it with my job. It was difficult enough that I felt I truly learned the basics, but broken up in a way it was very easy to fit into my schedule. As someone who knew next to nothing going in, this was an awesome intro!
I had forgotten how fun coding was! I had programming course in high school, I even thought I could study that in university, but in the end I chose a different path. Now I am at crossroads. I still do not know what I will do or should I invest more time and effort into coding, but I am really glad I took this course because it is never too late to learn something new.
Coding would be advantageous for the HR. 😀 I am HR professional and I did it 😀 wow... If you are working as an HR in the tech domain, then having the basic abilities of how coding works makes sense. So that the selection of candidates can be optimised based on an understanding of how the candidate can benefit the organisation. This will largely reduce the time for the hiring managers at the second and later part of the process. Having HR analytics abilities is a must nowadays. If you are a technical recruiter working for a SaaS company, you can vet candidates with more insightful questions while screening them. I had such a wonderful time developing these skills and I'm super excited for the future! I am delighted to have finished SheCodes Basic Course where I've gained the required set of skills in #HTML, #CSS, and #JavaScript. The lessons on SheCodes are really practical, such as the final project I learned to design a sales page. In addition, during the learning process, I learned how to design, edit and decorate in detail step by step until completing a specific website.
