The course exceeded my expectations in many regards — especially in the depth of information supplied and the access to the community for feedback on work in progress. In a very non-threatening environment, I learned key principles of basic HTML, CSS and JS that I can implement immediately.
At 13 years old when I went to coding courses for the first time I thought: "I will never want to become a developer". SheCodes completely changed my mind. I saw coding as a creative and super exciting activity, which I want to keep learning.

It was increadibly useful and enlightening to learn about responsivness when designing building a webpage. I am so proud to have been able to transfer this new infromartion and knowledge into a real-life project, especially one that involves my own portfolio page. I can't wait to fill its pages with more projects and ideas that I will feel passionate about, as my journey into front-end development continues. Next stop: SheCodes React !✌️
SheCodes is a great initiative! My favorite part of the SheCodes workshop was learning by doing, especially with the final project and conducting homework. Learning with other women was a lot of fun, I can highly recommend this format!

SheCodes Responsive is an amazing way to learn how to build responsive websites, plus, you come out of it with an actual portfolio. I have always found the videos easy to understand, and, if something wasn't working, it was always easy to ask the team for guidance.
Excellent format for learning code as a beginner. Love that it is self-paced and that you have access to help whenever you need it through multiple avenues.
I really liked the workshop! Initially I thought coding was this really scary and mathematical thing but it was a pretty fun experience and I learned a lot of new things. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try coding. 😊
I've been teaching for 14 years already. And I know pretty well that you can teach anyone anything. However, I've never thought that I would be able to be taught coding. I've always thought that it would be something impossible for me. I understand that I'm just on the first step and there's so much more to learn. But that's exactly what makes it so interesting. Matt and his team are the ones who can divide every solution into small tasks that you succeed in and as a result you manage to do something that you've never thought you would be able to. It's a new world that might offer you a different and very exciting future. I'm incredibly grateful for having that chance to learn from such experienced people.

When I started to learn how to code I was self-teaching myself with free resources, but I realized I would be learning faster with some structured teaching. However, I needed the course to be fully flexible. SheCodes ticked all those boxes. SheCodes takes a birds-eye view first on the programming languages and the tools for coding and then helps you build up your skill-set bit by bit. After finishing SheCodes Plus I feel confident in what I have learned and inspired to take on more projects on my own.
I was very enthusiastic to learn coding with SheCodes. After completing the introductory course, I feel even more determined to start my career as a front-end developer. The workshop is totally inspiring and covers all basic topics. I'm waiting forward to starting a new level of this amazing course.

This workshop is a great intro into coding. I am excited to continue learning in the plus workshop next. If you are unsure where to start or if you are even a little bit curious whether coding is right for you, I would highly recommend SheCodes basics.
This was a good workshop but an expensive one. There are cheaper resources where you can learn just as much or even more. I have personally supplemented my learning from other courses alongside this one to fill in the knowledge gaps.
SheCodes Plus course was a great new experience! I learned a lot and I loved seeing how it's possible to manage adding different information to a page, connect real data and make everything work! Thrilled to keep learning!
SheCodes Plus was a great course, Matt goes through everything very well. It is challenging, however, it is very doable! It was a fun experience overall and I learned a lot doing this course.
The course is very interesting, easy to learn, a lot of tips (including Slack). it helped a lot to memorize the material - challenges in almost every lesson.

Matt's courses are really friendly, fun and easy understandable. I love coding and I really love SheCodes. The lessons are broken down to small steps so you won't get confused or overwhelmed. Also I really appreciate the very existence of SheCodes foundation so we can learn coding despite being in countries that may not have the best conditions for women to grow and reach their full potential.
As far as entry level online courses go, SheCodes is one of the best. I'm glad I was able to learn about my new passion for web development and UX/UI in such an approachable and digestible way. Can't wait to see what the future holds!

For a long time, I've had the desire to learn to code. I tried many courses before but was quickly discouraged. SheCodes Basics was the most straightforward yet simple course to follow. I love the principle of the weekly assignments as it encouraged me to set time and learn better. It helped build confidence in my own capacities. I loved this journey! All the info is perfectly structured, learning basics was such a pleasure. Even though there are clear step-by-step instructions, you also have a big part of self-studying and practice.
Matt does it again with another great course! I was really excited to learn React and despite it being a more challenging framework to work with, Matt did really well to break everything down into simple sections!!

The videos are easy to follow, as is Matt's style of teaching and the additional resources that you have access to during the workshop are very helpful. Shecodes is a simple way to learn to code and allows us great planning flexibility. The lessons are concise and clear.
I am so glad I gave SheCodes a try! 😊 I took two years of programming courses in university, but I felt that it wasn't for me. I struggled with the classes, especially in projects where we had to use maths. Being super bad at math, I couldn't finish the projects on my own, and I remember giving up on a final project because I was so frustrated with myself. I was also skeptical with this online workshop at first, thinking that it would be difficult to learn something online or that I would get discouraged by the exercises. However, the videos where easy to understand and follow, and I felt really great whenever I successfully finished a Challenge or a weekly homework. 😎 Im now considering of taking SheCodes Plus, and I hope that I can continue to improve my coding skills and eventually get a job as a front-end developer in the future. ✨

I am simply thrilled at how Matt has been able to help me finally grasp the art of coding. I cannot believe how much I have learned already with SheCodes, we progress at such a rapid but manageable pace it certainly keeps you engaged and motivated. The practicality of the course is a real differentiator too - I have been studying with other programs (unstructured) for months but have never done such practical work.
I felt so proud when I was able to create something "big" using the skills I learned. I loved hearing the thought process of someone making the final project along with me, it was reassuring. In previous workshops, it was more about how to use the different tools and specific steps to take. This one was how to put it all together to make something original.

This workshop was quite a bit challenging for me as a coder who just started the journey a little more than month ago, but it was super fun and easy to follow. The course is so well structured - it's quite easy to follow up with lectures and challenges. Big thanks to Matt - he's a great teacher, he simplifies the complex things to understandable level (especially for me who was a complete newbie in the world of coding and tech sphere in general). And many thanks to the tech team of SheCodes - they were super helpful and supportive when I've got stuck or had troubles on making things work. I've learned so much through this workshop and feel so much more confident in my coding skills now. And the final project - the web weather app - it's great to add a real-time functioning project to my coding portfolio! Looking forward to next workshops to follow my path into tech sphere and become a professional developer.

SheCodes has been a great experience for a first-timer like me, that has no prior experience in coding. I really appreciated that it's a program geared towards helping women step into the tech industry, as well as provide educational opportunities to women in need abroad. The curriculum was easy to understand, the community via Slack was very helpful in the sticky moments, and the flexible learning schedule helped me to learn while continuing to work my day to day.
It is very interesting and simple lessons. I have started to learn coding a few time by myself at open sources. But it is the best that I have met

Some homework are a bit challenging but in a way that makes you actually learn. If you're someone that is afraid of asking. This workshop will make you step out of you comfort zone and ask on Slack, which is professionally and personally great!

I feel that tech is often presented as unapproachable & " a man's world"; SheCodes is helping break those barriers- breaking down the basics of HTML, CSS & JS in a way that helps me feel confident that this is something I can tackle.
I looked at a lot of other places to learn some coding and ended up going with SheCodes. I LOVE it! It is super easy to follow! I especially like how short each teaching video is, it was nice to be able to watch a short video and then practice afterward. This has definitely motivated me to learn more coding!
