These three weeks were amazing! Learning coding from scratch was a bit of a challenge. What I liked the most is that after each video there was homework. It helped to understand each topic better.

Learned loads about making website responsive using tools like Bootstrap as well as using GitHub and Netlify to quickly deploy websites and any changes made. Would definitely recommend
This was definitely a challenging experience, but I learned a lot about coding and am proud of what I have created.
I had no experience prior to this workshop and felt too intimidated to get into coding. Through this workshop, I felt I was able to learn a good foundation and I enjoyed doing the challenges/hw. The videos were really easy to follow and understand. Even though I never had to ask directly for help, it was really eye-opening to go through the chat and see what different ways other people were going about assignments. I highly recommend this workshop :)
The time I spent in just one week was truly incredible! Lessons and challenges were extremely fun and enjoyable. I learned lots of things in a short time and I want to continue learning. Happy coding for everyone! 😋

I literally knew nothing about coding before I started out on SheCodes, I was more like a baby in coding but Matt made coding fun and very easy for me and today I have been able to understand and know the basics of coding and what it entails. I just submitted my SheCodes Basics final project. I am more than happy about my progress in 3weeks. Thank you SheCodes!!! Thank you Matt!!! Trust me, if you are not learning with SheCodes, you are not learning at all. lol.

This workshop was initially intimidating but after completing a few assignments I started to feel more confident in my ability to learn and pick up this new skill. Definitely keep at it and you'll be proud at the end.
Every moment of learning with SheCodes is a pleasure! The material is very interesting and clear, all the tasks are extremely exciting. I never thought programming was so much fun. I was also pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere. When I had difficulties with something, I was immediately helped. I highly recommend SheCodes!
I highly enjoyed the responsive course - it was great to get creative and learn about all the different ways that you can create and style a page. The course also showed that making a website responsive is not as easy as I thought, and it was very interesting to learn different techniques of how you can make it as user-friendly and easy to navigate as possible. I would highly recommend this course, even if you do not want to do the actual programming yourself in your job but simply to get a better idea about the different elements of a website. I'm a bit sad that the third course is already done and now there is only one more to go!

SheCodes was awesome! I have learned so much through the online course. The style and structure let you gain skills at a pace that suits you. I felt confident I could manage each task with the support of the video content. At times it was challenging but the SheCodes team is there to guide and assist throughout. I absolutely loved the SheCodes Basics Workshop! I have been wanting to learn something new for a while and surprised myself with how much I enjoyed coding every week. I stated with the Basic class which I enjoyed and got motivated to move on to the next workshop, SheCodes Plus. Building the weather app was challenging yet fun and full of experiences. Now I'm motivated to work on a personal weather project. I learnt so much and inspired to work more on hands-on projects. I was not Overwhelmed through out the journey because Matt's teaching was top notch, explanatory and easy to understand. SheCodes team and SheCodes Foundation thank you so much for this beautiful opportunity.
After following SheCodes for some time I took the leap and enrolled which proved to be the best decision I could have made. I have learned so much over the course of the Basics workshop and I'm so excited to move into the Plus workshop and learn even more!
My studying was so productive and interesting. I like that there was a challenge after each lesson. That makes me practice and learn the theory more effective. I would highly recommend SheCodes Basics Workshop. I really appreciated the learning videos and the assignments at the end of each lesson. I believe this is the best way to learn for me as there are different ways to absorb the information. I am now confident that I am able to use HTML, CSS and JavaScript to design beautiful webpages.
Just from learning through SheCodes Basics, I could say that I can now eloquently build websites by learning the basics (HTML, CSS & JS)! Matt taught me everything that I needed to know in such an effective way; guiding me through every step I needed to understand, just like baby steps! I love the fact that I'm allowed to do these classes in my own time and capacity, and the projects are really fun and challenging to do! It's really pushing my boundaries to want to learn more and challenge myself to become a better programmer in the future! Not forgetting to mention, Matt gave a really generous discount to those who are unemployed or students; giving a greater chance for women who are really serious about pursuing this programming path. Kudos to SheCodes- the program is really 100/10 excellent value!

I started SheCodes Basic with no coding skills whatsoever. In just three weeks I learned enough to build a functional (and nice looking) landing page, which I find absolutely amazing! The course is well paced and neither too difficult or too easy. Matt teaches you foundations of coding that you can easily expand after completing the course!
This course is so much fun! I am completely hooked. Happy to learn more and keep on coding till I reach the level to complete my business idea.

I discovered SheCodes through Instagram when I had a very bored day and soon got very passionate about coding. I love the learning style of the course and it really feels more like solving challenges and riddles, rather than studying something.

I learned well with Matt's video lessons combined with the weekly homework. It's been really cool to see the endless possibilities and I'm excited that this is only the beginning.
I'm going to do all of the workshops but this one was amazing to introduce me to the computer science world and the basics of a website. I can't wait to start the other ones and learn everything from front-end development.
Loved learning JS more in depth and playing around with APIs. Although this course was more difficult than the last, Matt does a great job with showing you how to build the project from scratch to finish.
This workshop has taught me a lot about coding that I thought I could never learn because it was "too complicated". The videos really are very easy to follow along, even to someone that has no prior experience with tech/ coding at all. Looking forward to learning more!

I received an invitation for a free coding session with SheCodes and became very interested in the world of coding. From someone who had never even seen what coding was, I feel proud and excited to have been able to complete the SheCodes Basic course. I really enjoyed my experience learning to code with the SheCodes Workshops. I had so much fun but also felt quite challenged at times so it definitely kept my mind stimulated. Matt is a great instructor and the SheCodes team was very helpful and quick to answer my questions on slack when I got stuck!
Not my first coding course, so I was able to breeze through a bit but definitely learned some new tricks AND this was the most fun I've ever had learning coding.

Lessons where very detailed and well guided by Matt. Learnt so much from just 5 weeks! Am extremely happy that I am able to produce my own portfolio page where i can showcase to my future employers.
I completed the SheCodes Basics program with a working knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I am able to create a basic, functioning, interactive webpage. I had tried a free coding camp previously but the content was not suited to my learning style, and they did not show us how to use actual coding tools such as VS Code and Colorzilla. I finished that course feeling more confused than when I started, online with SheCodes, where I actually learned useful things that I will be able to apply irl outside of the courses. The SheCodes course material is perfectly suited to my visual learning style, and being able to go back and reference the videos at any time, as well as work alongside them in real-time in VS Code, was extremely helpful. I feel confident in my knowledge and abilities. The Slack group is also an amazing resource and any question I asked was answered within an hour. There is a big sense of community and teamwork, and it is clear that everyone wants each other to succeed. I started the SheCodes Plus course this week and have already learned even more! What I really love about the experience is that I came into it not really knowing anything about computers, and thinking it would be hard to learn. However, Matt and the SheCodes team have created a program that is easy to learn, just the right amount of challenging, and most of all, fun! I will absolutely be recommending SheCodes to any woman in my life who may be interested in learning how to code. Its an amazing and extremely fun experience, and I cant wait to learn even more!
I went into learning how to code thinking that it would be really hard, but Matt and others at SheCodes have made it simple and really easy to understand. I had fun applying everything I have learned. I cannot wait to learn more!
With no previous coding experience, I have learnt a lot in this class. Html and CSS weren't much of a problem. I had a bit of challenge with javascript. But then with constant practice it won't be a problem soon!
I'm a product designer with no previous coding knowledge. I really wanted to understand how to keep scope down in my projects at work, and learn how to work better with my developers so that I could speak the same language as them. After just 3 weeks, my communication has improved tremendously with my devs! I couldn't believe it, and neither could they honestly hahaha. So grateful to have taken this workshop!

I loved learning with Matt he did very well explaining everything. When i got stuck i would just go back on the video where i was stuck on or if the code wasn't working and then i was able to solve my own issues.

Starting a change to a new career in programming I was very overwhelmed and scared by the complexity of the academic program as well as the language with which I started, however SheCodes helped me to realize that it is not only the language but also the way of transmitting knowledge and see it reflected in what is done, its connection with something real and tangible. Now I feel that I can learn to program and make beautiful, useful, functional and modern things.
I just finished SheCodes basic and all i can say is it's simply amazing. The lessons were short and precise and our tutor matt made it very explanatory and easy to understand. I can't wait to learn more on SheCodes Plus.
SheCodes was an excellent, challenging, fast paced experience of learning the basic elements of HTML, CSS and Javascript in bite size, easy to digest, weekly classwork videos and assignments. Those quick easy wins are euphoric and give you the momentum to push past any troubling moments while you are learning. Matt has a great energy. He gives the tools you need to complete the assignments and projects in a way that is exciting. The knowledge you gain teaches you to recognize code in the things you already use and allows you to dream about what you can create once you gain the knowledge SheCodes provides.

I really enjoyed Matt's teaching style when learning during the Basics Course! He was able to explain the material very well and thoroughly. I didn't know where to start when it came to trying to teach myself how to code and was always on the fence about the FREE coding class in itself. But after listening Matt breakdown the curriculum step-by-step, I joined a free workshop and signed up for the Basics course the same day!
