It was a great way to try and learn about Coding. Videos were really good and made it seem easy!
Overall, I would give this program a 4.3/5. I learned a lot and the lessons taught 1 to 2 ideas to learn at a time, making it easier to learn without getting overwhelmed. If you are not sure you are interested in coding, taking the basic course is a good way to see if it is for you. It also makes me appreciate those who do coding for a living and how much goes into just one web page.
Going through the whole experience with SheCodes has been SO helpful! The workshops are structured wonderfully and make learning easy and fun.

I was very nervous to start this workshop since I went in knowing absolutely NOTHING about coding! Taking the beginners course showed me that coding can be fun and isn't rocket science like I had thought. The workshops and challenges were so helpful in allowing me to practice what I had learned. And now I'm excited to learn more and hopefully jump start a career as a coder!

This has been an amazing journey! I started with the first course thinking I would stop after the basics level...but I have loved learning how to code and completed every course available. I chose SheCodes because it was structured (deadlines, I need them) but also flexible (I was still teaching full time so I was coding on weekends). I know that there is SO much more to learn, but I am excited and ready for it. As a transitioning teacher, I never considered FrontEnd Developer as an option for me, but now I do. ❤️. I really enjoyed learning more about HTML, CSS, and JS in this course. I thought the weather app project was challenging but a great test of what we truly learned in the workshop. I'm looking forward to continuing on my SheCodes journey in the next one.
I have experience with HTML and CSS, however JavaScript has always been a struggle. I've tried many other resources and couldn't get an understanding of JS where I felt comfortable to move on. SheCodes Basics was just what I needed to move forward with my learning.

There is an equal balance of learning and practicing. Matt Delac is a very qualified teacher and I know he wants us to succeed. I can't say it was an easy journey but definitely it was quite interesting and challenging. Sometimes I felt overwhelmed with capabilities of JS. Sometimes I felt that my brain was going to explode. The course is mesmerizing. I couldn't stopped until final week projects were done ) I enjoyed a lot of flexibility of timing and clearness of the information.

It's been a great workshop! I came with zero coding experience (and I mean z-e-r-o) and I had a lot of fun while learning! The lessons are very informative, some concepts were easier, some were harder, but all the instructions were clear. It's great to be able to do check my understanding by completing challenges and homework. Having taught myself, I can appreciate the logic of the course, the flow and steps of the course made sense and made the whole experience quite fun.
I'm loving this workshop, and since the program stays accessible, I plan to come back as I improve and redo the projects as I learn more to see what I'm capable of
Well structured introduction for people intrested in learning something new. Useful, practical tips. A lot of small tasks encourages you to try things on your own - so you learn better. Would surely recommend to others :)

I absolutely and highly recommend this workshop for learning the basics. Near the end of the workshop, I got excited knowing this is where the creativity comes to play. I don't know my limitations when it comes to web development and coding, but what I've gained from this experience is that I became expressive and felt the freedom in my creativity and I can't wait for the next workshops and to challenge myself further.

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect when signing up for SheCodes. I had zero knowledge on coding and felt a bit intimidated by them. But by watching the videos, a complete newbie like me was able to understand. The workshops are clear and concise, so much so you just have to have determination to learn

This was an amazing experience and I feel I have learnt a lot only doing the SheCodes Basic! I started from scratch as I am trying to switch careers (I am a Registered Nurse atm) and even though it was challenging, the workshop kept me engaged through the whole time! And I absolutely loved the little challenges! I would totally recommend starting at coding with SheCodes!

Great lessons that make learning how to code easy and fun.
I learned so much in the SheCodes React workshop! The assignments were scaffolded well and provided me with the knowledge to build both the weather and dictionary final projects. Even though I ran into challenges along the way, the Slack support and community was a great resource and helped me to persevere til the end. I wish there were more workshops! The layout of the workshop makes coding doable and is not overwhelming, Matt's lessons are easy to follow, and I am motivated to keep learning!

I've always wanted to do SheCodes since I was younger. Now that I am older I've been blessed in so many different ways this year where I was finally able to start learning skills I needed in order to live out my goals one step at a time. She codes so far have been a journey for me but I know no one will regret it!
I've greatly enjoyed my time with SheCodes! I've learned so very much AND I've already started getting interviews for full time developer jobs! I cannot say enough about how helpful the SheCodes team is, how much fun I had completing challenges and the knowledge base I've come into in my short time here. Bottom line: should you sign up? YES!
