I've been looking for a coding course for some time, but none offered such a brilliant approach to teaching as SheCodes. The amount of new information, the pace, and the deadlines for homework and projects are very well balanced. This way, the course is really fun, and thinking about learning to code does not sound stressful anymore. 🤩
Originally started my career in the veterinary field and then switched to the research field and from there developed an interest in the tech field which is why I switched positions a year ago to work more with data by helping to manage research data instead of actually doing the research itself. I've been working as a data analyst/data consultant and recently took an interest to coding and wanted to learn how to possibly make a career in this field. SheCodes has been amazing with helping me get a first look at what it's like working with code on a basic level and has inspired me to continue on my journey to work towards building a career in the tech industry specifically in coding and also to continue to take more workshops and build more projects to expand my knowledge. Really well developed lesson plan, it was so nice to start from the basics. While it was sometimes challening, I loved the exercises after the lesson as it really pushes you to try out what you learnt. I had a lot of fun with this course!

I am very grateful that SheCodes exists. 3 weeks ago, I didn't know a single thing about coding and now I can create a simple landing page. This workshop was super fun and engaging. I learned so much and feel more confident in my ability to write code and finally feel like I can read and understand functions. SheCodesPlus was both fascinating and challenging. I was able to iteratively code the final project as I followed along week by week but more importantly, I loved how Matt presented more elegant and sophisticated ways to write the code that may not have been obvious based on what you had learned up to that point. It really makes you think about how you structure what you are trying to build.

I LOVED doing this workshop! 🤩 With SheCodes, I discovered that coding can be so much fun. I never thought much about programming and coding because I had that misconception that it is extremely hard because there is loads of math involved... I was so wrong! Matt has a really special way of teaching - everything seems easy (because it can be) and uncomplicated. The modules are very well organised, and there is no math involved!! Also all the little challenges and homework keeps you motivated and helps you putting things into practise. My background is in nursing and marketing - so I was completely clueless about HTML, CSS and JavaScript. But now I feel confident. I've built a basic website from scratch, and had so much fun doing it! I look forward to learning more, and maybe (who knows?!) I'll get serious about web development.

I highly recommend this basic course for those who have no experience in programming and always wanted to try it. You will have a chance to understand how to code a simple page and make it interactive. The teacher is doing a great job explaining everything in detail so everyone can understand and learn.

Short but very productive program. I like how the classes are designed. Short info sessions are easy to follow, and challenges are great for practice. The project at the end was so fun and good for summarizing what I've learned. I have enjoyed it so far and can't wait to learn more!

Completely remote mode, the ability to learn and complete tasks at your convenience and pace is a huge advantage. I was able to easily balance my daily activities with the course. Plus I truly enjoyed every lesson. I recommend taking the course to any girl who would like to try coding, or is just curious if it’s something for her.

This workshop was a great introduction to coding! Would recommend a 10000/10 :) Before I signed up for this workshop I already gained experience with HTML and CSS through self-study, which wasn't only a very time consuming endeavour, but also a frustrating one (at some point tears have been shed). So, I was really dreading JavaScript selfstudy and it felt like my basics could also use some extra polishing; would not recommend the selfstudy route... That's when I started looking for an easier way and stumbled upon SheCodes. And it's seriously the best thing that could have happened to me. The lessons are very coherent and very easy to follow, and all the homework and projects were not only great practice; but also lots of fun! It's also really nice that you have access to an entire community that helps you out if you get stuck on a problem and that you can determine your own pace if you're busy with school or work, or both, while being on your coding journey. I signed up for the other workshops as well, so I'm really looking forward to what I'm going to learn next. Thank you so much, Matt, and everyone from the SheCodes team!

When I started this workshop, I was hoping to just learn a new skill. But after doing the challenges, homework and the final project, I can say that I have a new found respect and love for coding. I thought it would be too hard but I surpassed all of my expectations with the help of this workshop. I hope to continue with my learning and possibly start in a new career field!

I highly recommend the SheCodes courses! I learned a lot of practical things and wrote projects. I learned React from the scratch, learned how to make API integration, make responsive design my web pages.

SheCodes Basics was a fun, interactive course that made coding less complicated than I thought it was. By breaking it down into smaller tasks made the idea of learning jss and css so much simpler.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this course for the past three weeks, it reminded me of how quick I can pick things up and that coding isn't as "scary" as it's often made out to be. I definitely recommend taking SheCodes workshops (whatever the length), as you're not just helping yourself grow, but somewhere in the world your money is also helping someone else learn.
I recently migrated to Australia from the US. I have zero experience with coding! I want to start a career in tech and I was referred to SheCodes from a colleague. This three week workshop has been challenging at times, but wow the resources and the way the lessons are designed you have all the support you need to figure out the solution. Also, with my current employer I work daily with our dev team and this hands-on knowledge I am/will be learning can help me immediately in my current role during my conversations with customer onboards during the integration process with different CRM’s to our LMS software. I plan to continue onto the SheCodes plus program and fingers crossed I will succeed in becoming a developer one day!

A few months ago, I decided to embark on a mission to learn how to code and hopefully completely change my career path. Why?- because I know how much freedom I could gain from the great lifestyle coding can provide. I always had a huge admiration for technology but was completely clueless on how to use it. I started to research a bit and learn on my own for about 1.5 months. After that I applied for a bootcamp here in NYC but quickly realized that they wanted me to know way more (a timed admission test was given) then I was capable to learn. I was wondering, if the school wants me to know so much before I have even started, then why do I need them at all? Plus, $16.000 (tuition for the bootcamp/12 weeks) is a huge chunk of money if you ask me. That's when I decided to go the self-taught rout. I did so for another week or so and quickly learned that I needed some structure. That's when SheCodes made it's entrance :D After doing some research I understood that the program is for complete beginners like myself and that it was quite interactive. By that I mean, you don't just read about an assignment and then try to solve it, you get to see the process thought by Matt the founder and then you try yourself. It made so much sense to me. I signed up for the full course and just completed the BASIC one of three weeks. So far, it has definitely been great and productive. I love how you can always go back and relearn topics. I also love how all the topics are bite sized so you don't feel overwhelmed. You go at your own pace but still have deadlines which help you stay focused. Looking forward to the next step-SheCodes PLUS. Happy learning :)

When I was wondering about "What NEXT?" in my life, the thought of career change hit my head. Then started googling about learning coding sitting at my comfort zone (as having a toddler). I have got my confidence back after joining SheCodes. Being an unemployed for about 8 years in another country and now getting confidence back to kickstart my career was unimaginable. I decided to enroll in SheCodes after I wanted to try something different for a career. Everything start with a curiosity appaired during the Covid lockdown, when everything was moved in online. So my curiosity was what if to one point I'd reconsider my career. So I start with an IT course for beginner and was a failed one, but I continue and by chance I saw on Insta Shecodes. So thank to you and your learning format things became coherent, even I know that would be a long way ahead. Thank you!
