I love the way in which this course encourages you to research code and makes you practice what you learn with small challenges. It not only teaches you the basics in really practical ways but also introduces you to practice real life skills that programmers need to build, like looking up answers, researching, inspecting code, and not being afraid of figuring out the answer instead of knowing it right away. A great introductory course to coding. I found Matt's instructions to be very helpful, even as someone that had no prior background in coding. I would say that the first week is definitely the hardest, but once you grasp the basics, all the information you are learning makes sense and builds upon itself. I also found it helpful to watch the videos and practice the exercises at the same time (kinesthetic learner) and pausing/rewinding when I needed too. Also the extensions were a real life-saver around the holidays! Thanks for including that option!

Within the first 3 weeks, I already had a chance to do smth practical, not just listen to the sessions. And I finally saw that learning coding is possible! Although much effort is required).
The course is well-built and easy to follow. Learning React is challenging but the clarity of tutorials and the assignments help you to understand React step by step. Now that I've completed all the workshops, I strongly recommend them to all who look for a brighter work future.

SheCodes Plus was certainly challenging than SheCodes Basic. I've learned more advanced JS and got to know the process of website hosting. Overall, I enjoyed the process and am happy with my results. Hope to take more coding classes in the future!

Class had good information and concepts, but felt somewhat disorganized. I learned a decent amount for being an intro to basics.

I never had to worry about falling behind because the pace of the course was manageable and there was always someone available to help me when I needed it. It was a challenging but rewarding experience, and I feel confident in my new skills!

I didn't expect to actually enjoy myself while learning to code, but I did! The SheCodes Basics workshop is laid out in a very digestible, easy-to-follow way. The bite-sized video lessons followed by challenges really helped me stay interested and absorb the material. Matt is a great teacher to guide you into the world of coding. This add-on was a great way to further the skills I learned in SheCodes Basic. I am much more confident in my abilities to code using basic HTML, CSS and Javascript.
I've always enjoyed creating things and problem solving. After 9 years at my customer service job I was looking to make a change and grow a new skill. I stumbled onto coding while searching online for new avenues. I took a free class on some different sites, found I really enjoyed it and began my journey of learning more. I found SheCodes and took the free class. I've just finished my basics workshop and look forward to continuing forward and become a developer.
SheCodes Basics has been great! I've really enjoyed learning the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Matt is a great teacher, the lessons are well structured, and it's a great starting point for anyone who wants to learn how to code!

Can't realize these workshops came to an end. Interesting how was it hard in the beginning and not only and how I found out that I'm on the way with React and do like it the most) There's a lot of things I obviously have to learn more but I feel I'm on the railway that is gonna bring me to the right point. I've already tried to pass some job interviews, so hope to find a step for the next door with no long break-up. Thank you guys for this great opportunity to rebuild my current professional life!

SheCodes Plus was an amazing journey. I was having fun and enjoying building weather app. Everything I've learnt so far just clicked; I was able to debug my code, analyze it and sometimes even write the codes without going over the videos first. I just felt like a real coder! Thanks SheCodes and everyone working hard in this team!
Even with a basic knowledge of front end coding under my belt, I was able to learn a lot of new things. The class and projects are challenging yet fun and the Slacks team and my classmates helped me a bunch when I struggled with a code. Instead of overextending myself, I kept my codes simple like Matt suggested which ultimately helped me not overcomplicate my code and stress myself out.
I have learned a lot of things just in 3 weeks. I love the way shecodes makes you do the exercises. I think this is the best way to learn programming. I enjoyed learning with my team.
After finishing SheCodes Plus I feel much more confident looking into the code and trying to produce it myself. It's still definitely a lot to learn but this course gave me not only an understanding that I can learn to code but also some strong basic knowledge which will make my journey easier. It was not easy but so fascinating to see how your work turns into some real app or webpage. I appreciate all the work Matt and his team have done for creating this project.

Very fun and interesting workshop. Very happy with what we have learned. The pace and level of what you learn is also great. However, the videos could be updated and more prepared. They seem a bit "off the cuff", which - for the price of the course - could and should have been avoided. Good support on slack, but it can take time to get the level of support needed - and this led to me having to use extensions unnecessarily. Also, when attempting to fix some parts of the app - we are told that we cannot get support/help to solve this as that is something covered in a later workshop that is not a part of the course I have paid for - this is disappointing. But all in all - a great introduction to coding!
I really liked the SheCodes workshop. Matt kept the lessons easy to understand. He was a great instructor. I also liked that you had always a homework to submit because that keeps you practicing. I once needed help with something and I asked for help on Slack within an hour or so I got an response it was really helpful. The Slack community is great. I think SheCodes is really great for absolute beginners and I would highly recommend it. Before SheCodes I knew completly nothing about coding and now I understand how it works and I want to learn more.

I am absolutely in awe at what SheCodes has taught me during this workshop! The challenges after every lesson greatly assisted with my understanding of the concepts taught and once I completed the final project, I really felt a sense of accomplishment!
