I really enjoyed being able to create a functional weather application with SheCodes Plus! There were a lot of points where I felt we only hit surface level, especially with JavaScript. I found myself having to research a lot of concepts on my own. I feel like my understanding of functions, parameters, objects, and arrays are still elementary, but perhaps this is all part of the learning process. Start with small bites and dig deeper as we go and learning to help yourself. I played around with using the old API and the new one provided by SheCodes and feel like I have a good grasp on API integrations though. All in all this was a good beginner course and maybe I just need to review the course again.
Before I got acquainted with SheCodes, I always thought that learning programming was very difficult, but with the help of SheCodes, I learned very well. I really enjoyed this course.

The SheCodes Basics Workshops were overall a great experience for me as they gave me both the great foundation of learning HTML, JavaScript, and CSS that was fun to learn and easy to follow (Matt is a great instructor!) and getting more excited and interested in the world of coding! I recommend this course to anyone!

I've thoroughly enjoyed the Basics add-on course. I completed the Basics course last year and this add-on was great to refresh my memory of the basics as well as learn some new tips and tricks!
It was a fun learning experience, I think Matt is an excellent instructor.Clear, concise and to the point no confusion at all.
I had problems in first weeks but I learned after try hard and thanks to Matt how teach very good with lots of examples in each parts so I really enjoy the classes.
Building a project step by step along with Matt has been great, I'm really proud of my work! However, two main challenges I had with SheCodesPlus: 1. The JavaScript concepts are oftentimes not thoroughly explained, it remains for the most part quite superficial, you WILL need to dig deeper on your own. I personnally studied with a bunch of Youtube videos and a Codecademy course in parallell. 2. Towards the end of the project, everything revolving around API needs to be updated. In Matt's video, he uses an older API than the one you're supposed to use. So it's quite tricky to follow his steps and understand everything. The Slack chat can be really helpful in this moment, which is very nice. All in all I'm happy with my work, happy with my progress, and the support on Slack is great. But I remain slightly disappointed by the video courses which left a lot of questions unanswered. That's the beauty of code, you might say. The learning never stop!
I enjoyed so much this workshop from day one. Matt's lessons are so well explained, that every challenge was so entertaining to make and woke up my curiosity to learn. This first journey has been fun and I feel excited to continue with SheCodes Plus. I highly recommend it!
SheCodes is a one of a kind coding bootcamp. I am really impressed with the ways the lessons are taught. From basic HTML, CSS, and JS to the final project, I can say that I learned things from this. Given that I got the course for free, this is a good foundation for me to continue in coding. SheCodes is a good platform for everyone, beginner to expert. From their good videos to their new AI feature, Athena, who helped me in some of my codes. Thank you SheCodes team and Matt for giving me this opportunity. SheCodes is a great way to dip your toes into coding! I have really enjoyed the course and would definately recommend it to my friends and family. This course has given me a good foundation of HTML, CSS and Javascript. The SheCodes course really pushes you out of your comfort zone, however there is ample help available if you need it. I thoroughly enjoyed this class! Coding always seemed daunting to learn, but this workshop provided clear instructions and visual guidance that made the process much easier. I'm also grateful that SheCodes is flexible and allows for extensions without judgement.

I believe that coding is so important to learn these days because it teaches you necessary skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and creativity. After talking with some other individuals in tech, and how they learned coding basics, I was SO HAPPY with choosing SheCodes. The small lessons and weekly homework keep me engaged and I love that we repeat concepts over and over in different ways so it really sticks.
Who knew coding could be so much fun?! Had a wonderful experience learning with SheCodes. The information was broken down into weekly lessons which made planning lessons into my work week easily manageable. I look forward to continuing my education with SheCodes!

Truthfully, I never thought I would one day learn how to code, let alone learn how to work with multiple languages synchronized together. I am immensely proud of myself for achieving this feat and grateful for Matt and the SheCodes team for every bit of help and support they provided. A great introductory course into the basics of web development. I liked the pace and the content I was able to learn in 3 weeks.
I absolutely loved this course! The pace was perfect for me because some weeks flew by while others I found more challenging. I have used the things learned in this course to start other projects too. I've finished my weather app and I'm really proud of it!

SheCodes Basic Plus is a great addition to the previous workshops. I loved learning more in details the CSS grids, filters, and backgrounds. I was also pleasant to applied my knowledges in JS for the dark theme mode.

I loved continuing my learning journey with the Responsive workshop. Responsive is not an easy topic, but I feel like I now understand the basics of it and I'm ready to dive even deeper. The final project is a portfolio, which was a lot of fun to build and is going to be very helpful in my professional future.

This workshop is really well-structured: it helps you understanding the basics of coding step-by-step, giving you all the relevant information and essential resources to create your project. I absolutely loved this course! I think this course offers the perfect amount of theory and practice to get you inspired and motivated to learn to code and do the exercises. I have tried to learn html in the past but always abandoned as it seemed too complicated for me. And in just 3 weeks it gave me the confidence to build a simple website with html, css and Javascript.
I have just completed my week 1-3 I have been enjoying SheCodes a lot. I have learnt so many amazing things in just my first few weeks. I really enjoy the quick response from the SheCodes team if I have any questions, the lecture videos are easy to navigate and watch as they are very short. I am very excited for my further journey on sheCodes.
The SheCodes React workshop added on to the skills and knowledge that I learned with the previous workshops. It was more challenging but once again, Matt did a great job at explaining and going through all the knowledge on how to code a website app in React. I am glad to have taken the SheCodes workshops and recommend it to anyone regardless of experience in coding.

My experience with the SheCodes Workshops has been amazing! I love that we get to work on real world projects and build a portfolio. I have had so much fun coding the weather app and getting to be creative with the styling and the different tools we've learned.
Its amazing how i always felt coding was so complex and probably something i would not have much interest in. December 2022 i decided to challenge myself into doing something outside of my comfort zone from a career perspective in 2023! Fast forward to February 2023 I am graduating for the SheCodes Basics course. I am confident enrolling for SheCodes was the best decision ever! Matts bite sized teaching strategy helped to keep me focused. I also appreciated the challenges that came with each lesson as they helped test my understanding in a practical way. The SheCodes Responsive Workshop expanded on the importance of mobile responsiveness for web development. As Matt mentions during the course, creating a responsive website can be challenging, albeit rewarding in the end! This workshop delved into the concept of Flexbox and how to utilise it, a tool I was unfamiliar with. Overall, I am very satisfied with my progress during this journey! I look forward to learning React and all other topics the next workshop has to offer!
I really enjoyed SheCodes Basics. In college, I had taken a coding class as part of my program-and while I enjoyed coding- my focus was elsewhere, so I never took the time to fully learn beyond what was required. Matt and SheCodes has helped me re-learn the basics, reignited my interest in coding, and was clear and fun in the process.

I took graphic design in college, which included multiple semesters of coding. I sincerely feel that I've absorbed more information in the SheCodes basics program than I ever did in the college courses. It's taught in a way that really works for me, and I love that I can work at my own pace. I'm so excited to keep learning!😊
