I feel these three past weeks I had learned more than my entire life! Enrolling in SheCodes certainly had been the best decision ever. Can't wait to finish up then entire course!
My journey with SheCodes has been almost unbelievable. When I first started I had no idea how to read code and now I can actually look at it and understand what I'm doing. It encourages me to keep learning and to push myself into this field. The React workshop brought more challenges and surprisingly I didn't feel as lost as I thought I would. Building a world clock app using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in 2 days(!) was a great experience for me :) I extremely enjoyed learning new techniques and approaches to building apps while being creative with the user interface. So satisfied with the result!
Firstly, I would like to give Mr Matt his flowers, he really made my learning journey less stressful. I started studying coding with SheCodes 3 weeks ago, and I have been very motivated especially by the curriculum. SheCodes really helped me realize how exciting and fun coding can be! I have gained skills so fast which was something I did not expect, improving this much in only 3 weeks! I loved the challenges between every lesson, it did get challenging but with determination and grit I managed to do it!. I'm really glad that I had the opportunity to extend my knowledge in web development with Shecodes.React and node.js are another level of front-end development; knowing them can make the work much easier. And thanks too Matt learning them were much easier.
I started SheCodes basic because I wanted to experience 1) if I would enjoy coding, 2) if I could keep up, and 3) if I could understand the concepts from a beginner's POV. I am happy to say that making a button work has sparked a joy that I did not know could be possible. I enjoyed myself so much! I learned and experienced the joy of solving a puzzle I was unsure about. I would highly recommend trying it out!

This workshop taught me lots of useful technics and skills. I learned SEO and resposive design using grids and bootstrap. I learned how to design from Figma and how to make a navigation bar. all and all, it was really practical and enjoyable too! thanks Shecodes team.

Through SheCodes Basics, I was able to learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The lessons were beginner-friendly and the instructor Matt would take his time to explain each aspect in order for us to understand their importance. Now, I am able to see how the three languages can work harmoniously with one another to ensure a great user experience.

This is my first opportunity to learn how to code. SheCodes taught me the different languages of coding. I learned how to design a webpage with links and buttons, which was a lot of fun to learn. This course has givien me confidence because I've learned a computer language that not everybody knows. I definitely want to continue to learn more so that I have an opportunity of finding work in this field.
Learning to code was not something I would have ever thought would have interested me, until one time during Covid I tried a free weekly course to try and pass time with and ended up being hooked. After a that I knew that I wanted to pursue coding in a more serious note and see where this could take me. Following sometime from then I looked around for coding courses that I thought best suited my needs and would still be challenging whilst still being able to complete them. That was when I discovered SheCodes and decided to commit. Finishing the basics course has only further piqued my interest into my introduction to the world of coding. SheCodes have made learning fun and interactive, with help also close by with a friendly community.
I had a blast building my world clock and learned so much in such a short time.
What I like about this workshop is the fact that you can put into action what you have learnt throughout each lesson, in a way that you won't forget it easily. Looking forward to learn more with SheCodes! :)
It was very interesting for me to build such a project. Because there were many pages and it was possible to learn well HTML and CSS. The workshop was so much fun! Just challenging enough and very rewarding once you get it right. It's amazing to see your code come to life. My final project is why I wanted to learn how to code in the first place and I hope to continue combining the two in the future.
She Codes Plus is even more challenging and rewarding than the last course. Long distance learning can be complicated, but the lessons are carefully crafted and prepared, the objectives are clear and tutors are always ready to help you, so you feel supported and backed up on every step of the way.
This course was challenging, especially the JavaScript part and I will still need to practise to really get and understand it. But once you understand it, with those tools you can do anything. It was so much fun building the weather app and following the lessons. I have learned so much and had lots of fun doing it! Definitely worth it. I was really happy to see all my hard work pay off when my final project was done. There are so many ways to build your application that is hard to stop playing around!
I'm glad to say that I'm now comfortable with coding; learning new skills without any prior coding experience is incredibly thrilling!
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to learn coding and SheCodes gave me the confidence to learn a new skill as I am preparing for a career shift after having two little ones back to back! I went into this with zero experience, but the course was well structured that it was so easy to understand. I really enjoyed it and I am surprised at how much I have learned and how much I can do by myself with just the basics course.

This course was so fun! It really built on my existing HTML knowledge and was a great start to learning CSS and Javascript. The final project was my favorite because you got to pick any topic you wanted to focus on.
I recently finished the workshop where I learned how to develop a Dictionary app using React and 2 different APIs. While I found React to be challenging at first, with practice and persistence, I was able to create a functional app. We learned how to integrate 2 APIs (one for word definitions and another for photographs) into the app and how to display the results in a user-friendly way. One thing I appreciated about the workshop was that the instructor provided us with all the code we needed to follow along, but also encouraged us to customize the app and make it our own. Overall, the workshop was informative, and challenging, providing valuable hands-on experience.

I am so happy that I could participate in this course. With the learnings of this course, I am able to get a better view of what is happening on websites and use these learnings to develop my work. The React Dictionary project was my favorite. Great final project building on everything we have learned and practicing further React skills as well as gaining experience with connecting multiple APIs.
Working in the tech industry made me notice that we often tend to not bother about taking courses to refresh our knowledge about the things we think we already know. I am so glad I took that bold step of taking the SheCodes Basic course after 1 year of working as a Software Engineer. I am so excited to finish my SheCodes Plus certification. By far my favorite project to add to my portfolio! JavaScript was more fun and complex than I originally thought going in to this course.
