Fun way to learn the basics!

SheCodes React Workshop is been a great exposure to me. I learned soo much about React in 6 weeks and created weather app using JSX, components, hooks, axios and NPM libraries in React. I learned about creation of functional components and how state management is done in an application lifecycle in react and some best practices. It motivated me to learn more and develop web development project. Excited to continue my journey forward.

This was the first time I have ever tried coding and the SheCodes Basics program gave me all the basics I need to know if it is something I would like to pursue. Video lectures made by our instructor, Matt Delac were very understandable and having challenges and project at the end of the workshop are really effective to revision what I've learnt throughout this workshop

I really liked the form of the course, handing in homework is really engaging and does not allow me to stop learning for a long time. Everything easily explained. It encouraged me to continue learning Java Script and this is the direction I will follow.

Another section of the course done! Definately challenging, but in the best way. The course is designed to make you really think about what you are creating, and the support throughout is phenomenal. The fact that the lessons are recorded means that anything you need to revisit is there for you too. I never thought learning could be this satisfying!
She Codes is one of the best online coding platforms. It is easy to understand and the challenges are fun anyone who is interested in learning to code should use She Codes.
I am so glad that I decided to sign up for SheCodes, doing the Basics course has really hooked me on coding, I was already interested but this has really solidified my passion, and I cannot wait to learn more and more and make a new career in coding for myself!

Shecodes basic has been an amazing introduction to the world of coding. Having no prior knowledge of coding, learning programing seemed scary in the beginning. but the slow pace of the lessons helped with my anxiety and I started enjoying myself.
I learned so much. The tutorials were very helpful and the I love how the challenges and homework help me apply what I've learned.
Finished SheCodes basics and basics add-on and I really value the additional tools I received! Loved adding another project to my portfolio. I am excited to proceed in the SheCodes max and learn even more tools (:
Wow, its been an amazing experience, lots of things to absorb at once but it was worth it. Been running away from learning Vanilla javascript for quiet some time now but i can say, Matt really did a good job of breaking it down. Matt is amazing, his voice is very nice and make me very interested in everything. Also the lenght of the classes are perfect to me, and I have ADHD and that makes very hard to focus with boring classes. Everything is thought to make code more interesting and colorful, since the amazing teacher to the bright colours to the small challenges at every little new thing we learn make everything very easy and appealing. thank you so much. the Basic is perfect to start with HTML, CSS and JavaScript esssencials. I will be back to do the other workshops because I really enjoyed this course I always gave up on-line courses or take years to finish! this was really a blast.

I did always run away from JS. but this time I think I learn how to use it. of course, there are tons of video out there that talks about JS but it always generalizes the whole concept and not the specific step for someone who just wants to become a front-end developer. and seeing all those codes and not knowing actually where to use them was scary. but, Matt points out what was important at each step and made it easier to understand the whole process. thank you so much.

This is the second project using React, following the Weather App. I found myself having a better understanding of using React, especially when deciding when to create a separate component, and how to refactor my codes in those components. On top of that, I feel more comfortable using .map() and conditional rendering, all of these techniques made my codes cleaner, shorter and easier to be read by myself and possibly by other developers. I look forward to learn more and deeper about React to create more sophisticated applications in the future!
Before SheCodes, I found coding extremely boring! But Matt and SheCodes team changed that forever. The way Matt teaches coding makes everything perfectly clear, understandable, and most importantly, fun! 😎 When I started doing the final project of SheCodes Responsive, I was really surprised by how I've learnt everything so well that I don't even need to think that much when coding. Of course, challenges are always there and that's a part of being a front-end developer, but SheCodes teaching system has given me the confidence to actually know that any programming challenge is solvable. 👩🏻💻 I can't wait to continue my coding journey with SheCodes, learn more and more about programming, and become a professional front-end developer. 😍

I just finished the SheCodes Plus weather app project and couldn't be happier with the results. I was hesitant to take on a project like this because I needed to gain more expertise in coding. But because of SheCodes Plus's crystal-clear and simple-to-follow lessons, I was able to finish the course with a working weather app in hand. The SheCodes Plus curriculum was an excellent method to learn how to code overall. The weather app project was a great way to get started with coding. I wholeheartedly endorse SheCodes Plus to anyone interested in coding 💘!

React was incredibly daunting when I first started coding, and looking back at where I started, it feels manageable and exciting now. SheCodes Plus was a lot more challenging than Basics, but I learned a lot and I'm starting to get the hang of some pretty complicated stuff!
I learnt so much in this course than i have watching videos. It was more practical, engaging and the concepts were very well explained. Kudos to Matt Delac!
The weather app project was a real challenge and also very interesting as we applied all that we have learned so far !
I was able to advance my skills by enrolling in the SheCodes Fundamentals program as a marketing specialist. In addition, the training gave me a foundational understanding of JavaScript, which helped me along my learning curve for Servicenow's low-code framework.
I really enjoyed learning in SheCodes. Everything is very accessible. I have an elementary level of English, but thanks to Matt and the video lesson, I was able to understand everything.

This responsive course is an eye-opening course! It has leveraged my website-building technique and consolidated my knowledge in Frontend and bootstrap. I love the pace of each teaching video, suitable for any type of learner. Small progress each time could definitely motivate me to work on my project step by step and make the whole learning in responsive much easier!
This has been such a great course, I have learnt so much in the last couple of weeks. Going from no knowledge to completing a project. The lessons are easy to follow and very logical. There is alwasy help on hand if you get stuck and it's great to be able to see the probles that other people run into as well which helps you identify issues in your own code. Great community and it has been very rewarding completeing the project!

This was my third workshop with SheCodes, and I loved it. You learn so much in such a small timeframe with the workshop add-ons, and Matt is an excellent teacher. Highly recommend!
In a nutshell: hard to grasp at first but so much fun!! Building a weather app in React was definitely a steep learning curve, but I really enjoyed the process and I was happy with how my project turned out. It is such a useful tool and I'm looking forward to the React add-on so that I can practice some more.
Loved working on this weather app. Everytime I learn something new I first think "how will I remember all this?!" but then a few days later it comes natural and I think the same thing about another new thing. It's a learning process haha.
Best online class ever! I have learned so many advance techniques in this workshop and I will be able to use them in real life projects!
I did it again!! Learning a new skill can be difficult but rewarding. I was hard on myself during these past 8 weeks, trying to push myself to the point I was lacking food and sleep. I had to remind myself that it's okay to take a break, refresh and start again, especially when my code has errors. By clearing my head I was able to take another approach and found the solution. So, it's okay to take a break but giving up is not an option for me. Thanks to Matt and his team for providing so much support during this time.

It is easy and fun to learn coding with SheCodes. I do recommend it to those who want to start their path in coding.
The course was to a certain extent useful and I learned something new. A lot of technologies were covered, videos were short but informative that allowed me not to lose concentration. Also I liked the idea with the cheat sheets available on the web site. At the same time, I’d like to mention the following drawbacks: - there is a gap between the course program and the course content itself, which led me to hope for more than was actually given. For instance, ‘SheCodes Plus’ program mentions ‘Advanced Javascript’, while in practice we only scratched the surface. - I had a feeling that some information was repeated again and again instead of new topics being covered. - homework feedback provided was hardly useful: “Your solution is valid! Good job” is not an informative one. I would rather want to hear more on practices I used and my code style. - given all of the above, I believe the course is a bit overpriced
Really enjoyed this course - it is fairly hard, and doing some extra Youtube or Free Code Camp alongside really helps the learning - it took me a bit longer than normal, but Matt re-covers things we had done in the past which was really helpful. Personally, I think it would be great if Matt added in how to handle the temp change, just so we know how to do it in the most efficient way possible
I went from knowing nothing to learning a brand new language within WEEKS. I absolutely appreciated being able to do it within my time availability. Everyone in the community was super helpful! Thank you so much !

I am so excited about this course! I enjoyed every lesson. I really liked the structure: first you learn all the different parts you need for the final project and then you start building the weather app again from scratch. As a result, you practice everything at least twice, which ensures you remember everything better.
Within these three weeks, I've had a wonderful learning experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There are some properties and syntax that I have missed, but this journey has helped me learn new skills in addition to refreshing my memory of others. I appreciate everything.
Matt's teaching style is exceptional. He has a unique ability to break down complex coding concepts into simple and understandable terms. His clear and concise explanations allow learners to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently. I have a bit of background in coding but I learned more here in SheCodes than when I was doing this professionally. The lessons are very well paced and the explanations are not lengthy - the Instructor, Matt, goes straight to the point, which I really appreciate. He also does it in a way that's easily understandable. I also like how the exercises are not super serious where it can get intimidating. Rather, it's fun and there's a whole community out there that's willing to help you if you're stuck.
I have just started to learn coding, after a long time of hesitation. A little bit afraid, thinking that would be too hard or too difficult to learn. Happy to say after few weeks of making the first steps in coding together with SheCodes, that Mat is making everything to seem so easy. I am now so willing to learn more and more!

Shecodes really made learning coding basics a breeze. I always thought coding was something too difficult for me, but the lessons broke down concepts in a very understandable way. I love how coding feels like a game of tetris, and when you find the right block everything fits perfect!
