I love SheCodes. I started out as trying to teach myself and I was at a point where I wanted to test my skills and learn more to round out my learning. SheCodes has been a great fit, and is the best out of all of the bootcamps and other programs that I have researched and looked into. The flexibility of the program and the community is just awesome. This is the third SheCodes workshop I have completed, and it has been the most enjoyable so far! Having previously accomplished the SheCodes Plus workshop, I was excited to take on another challenge and further enhance my front-end development skills. This workshop is an incredible introduction to responsive design, multiple-page hosting, SEO, and more. Not only were the homework exercises engaging, but the final project was the most rewarding experience I have had (so far) learning with SheCodes. The online portfolio is an excellent way to showcase your coding progress and demonstrate the range of knowledge gained throughout the workshops. I can't wait to move on to the next course: SheCodes React!

SheCodes React is a great course to begin learning about react.js. With the information taught, students can learn how to use APIS to build sophisticated apps & projects, like a dictionary app & a weather app. It was very educational and taught me a lot. I highly recommend this course as it serves as a valuable supplement to your coding knowledge. I learned a lot about making my code responsive across various devices, not just computers. Even as the material became more difficult, I was still proud of myself for how far I have come. I am a few months in now and I feel very confident with what we have learned so far. The material is something that is forever studied and learned, but all of this used to look like a foreign spoken language to me; now these are computer languages I am easily able to recognize. The flow of the work makes it easy to follow along. I am very grateful for the ease and freedom SheCodes provides while learning a new skill.
The SheCodes platform has been such an amazing program. I enjoyed this course quite a bit. Learning React does feel quite advanced and like a more sophisticated way to code. However, for me, it felt like sometimes new topics weren't made very clear or not expanded upon enough, or sometimes it felt like the instructor was fumbling with their explanation a bit and that made it harder to follow (which I find odd since it's a pre-recorded video, so it should be easy to edit). That could just be my personal experience, though.
SheCodes has ignited a deep passion for coding within me. I love the way it has simplified the one time scary world of coding for me. Matt Delac is a very wonderful instructor and I can't wait to keep learning from SheCodes.

The SheCodes Plus workshop transitioned smoothly from the previous Basics workshop, continuing to teach with the same level of attention to detail and with the same focus on building from each previous lesson into the next. I enjoyed the challenge of this course to keep learning and applying new techniques, and my level of confidence in coding has grown significantly with this second SheCodes workshop. In addition to practising the fundamentals of writing HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the workshop also taught new skills, such as how to integrate APIs into an app for rapid retrieval of data, how to use GitHub, how to use a hosting service, and how to apply Bootstrap formatting. I've learned a lot, I intend to use my new skills to try to build some small projects which I've started to plan out, and I'm already looking forward to starting the next workshop!
This workshop has been very challenging, packed with lots of information and new skills that built on what we learnt in the last workshop. The World Clock project was by far one of my favourites so far! I really enjoyed learning creating Select elements, timing JS events and exploring what Moment.js can do. It's so eye-opening and exciting getting to understand all these concepts and then practicing it yourself.
The SheCodes Plus workshop was brilliant. I enjoyed how it kept me on my toes, encouraging me to code every day. Some parts were challenging no doubt, but what's coding without the challenges? I learned a lot. I practised a lot. I am absolutely in love with JS now. Cannot wait to use my skills to build some more exciting projects. This course was definetly not easy. But I look forwrd to continuing my learning through platforms like codeacademy and freecodecamp. I look forward to finding employment soon! AFter taking a few of these sehcodes bootcamp courses I happy and yet sad to say this is my last semester. This course will be the last course I take in SheCodes because soon I will find employment. But if it wasn't for shecodes literally teaching me everything I know it wouldn't be possible. I am so thankful and grateful that shecodes exists. My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding SheCodes Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜 plus I have completed my shecodes plus it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me I’m learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project ❤️
