As an absolute beginner who a has huge appetite for a career in tech but doesn't have an idea how or where to start from, I stumbled on SheCodes foundation on google through my search for a perfect place where I could satisfy my appetite at my own pace. With just three weeks of learning, I could develop a basic landing and interactive page using html, CSS and JavaScript. The workshops are simplified, practical and very easy to grasp even without any background in IT. I have already recommended it to my friends who have interest in tech careers.
Before SheCodes, I've tried other free code camps/coding websites but was always left frustrated as I couldn't understand what I was learning or what I was doing. However, the step-by-step (very hand-holding) approach by Matt and his team has restored my confidence and helped me successfully build a webpage. My advice for new beginners who are eager to create: follow the instructions before getting carried away and wanting to build your own hobby project. Trust me. This will save you a lot of time and frustration.

As a beginner, I was initially apprehensive, but the well-structured lessons made learning coding easier. The challenges were real, but so was the sense of accomplishment with each milestone I achieved.
It has been 3 weeks of Shecodes learning. The three weeks at SheCodes have been delightful and exceptionally educative. Matt is an excellent teacher, and I love how the classes are structured. After finishing Shecode Basic, I feel fulfilled and look forward to completing the program.
I recently completed the Shecodes Pro program and I am thrilled with the results! The program provided me with an in-depth understanding of web development and coding. I always have fears to do coding. My friend recommended this "SheCodes". I was excited to learn how to properly make websites responsive for mobile devices. I really enjoyed this course as I now know how to make websites work for both web based devices as well as mobile. Matt puts everything we've learned from SheCodes Basic, SheCodes Plus, and SheCodes Responsive into two big React projects. It was challenging but also really fun to see my code come to life. If there is one thing I have taken away from this second project, it's that the best thing to do when one gets frustrated, is to step away for a few moments, relax or do something else, and when you return the answer often times just comes to you.
SheCodes helped me realize that I wanted to make coding my career. Easily accessible, easy to use, and FLEXIBLE. I never would have finished this certification without the ample opportunities presented to me to truly finish this at my pace.
