I recently completed a short coding course with the SheCodes Foundation and it was an amazing experience! The course was well-structured, easy to follow, and provided a solid foundation for coding basics. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always available to answer any questions or concerns I had throughout the course. The course touched a little on coding topics, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and provided me with practical coding skills. The course also helped me to build my confidence and gave me understanding of how coding works and how it can be used to build websites and applications. However the knowledge is not very applicable in the work world. It provides a glimpse into coding and one would need further studies to be able to put the work into practice.

I recently finished the workshop where I learned how to develop a Dictionary app using React and 2 different APIs. While I found React to be challenging at first, with practice and persistence, I was able to create a functional app. We learned how to integrate 2 APIs (one for word definitions and another for photographs) into the app and how to display the results in a user-friendly way. One thing I appreciated about the workshop was that the instructor provided us with all the code we needed to follow along, but also encouraged us to customize the app and make it our own. Overall, the workshop was informative, and challenging, providing valuable hands-on experience.

SheCodes is amazing! The lessons were easy to follow and broken into manageable clips that fit into my busy schedule. Matt was a great instructor and this course gave me a good sense of the potential that coding has!
My first 3 weeks with SheCodes has been quite the ride, I was very new to the world of coding with very little experience and there was a lot of information that I had learn and it was overwhelming, but I feel as though there is room for me to get better at this craft as long as I push myself harder. Matt was a great instructor, he was able to make me understand everything better and I am proud of my first project.
I must say it was an incredible experience. The workshop was well-structured, informative, and engaging. The instructor was knowledgeable, and made complex concepts easy to understand. It was a great experience to start learning coding with this course! If you're new in this field, like me, be sure that you have a step-by-step guide through basic HTML, CSS, and JS in an amazing community of instructors, mentors and students. Also, you are going to do lots of fun challenges, homework, and projects, which makes it very practical.
Taking this add-on after venturing into React for the first time in the React workshop was great additional practice for me. This mini workshop helped me cement React concepts (how components work and how they connect/how to troubleshoot) and made me more comfortable with applying this to my own projects. Seeing the instructor work out bugs on the tutorials (the thinking process and steps he takes) helped me with doing my own debugging. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the workshop SheCodes has to offer.
I learned so much in such a short amount of time! I appreciate my instructors in depth explanations and resourceful teaching. I can't wait to build on my knowledge going forward with SheCodes and further real world experiences.
