SheCodes Plus Responsive was great fun and I learned a lot! Matt's videos are great and he demonstrates everything in a clear and easy to follow manner. Building the portfolio website was challenging at times, but it was great to put the learning into practice and really rewarding to have the end product. I enjoyed having the freedom to get creative and put my own spin on Matt's design. Highly recommend giving the Responsive workshop a try!
I mostly took this course for fun and with the thought that I might someday look into using these skills in a job. I really enjoyed everything I learned, and I will most likely be coming back to take the other workshops so I actually could transition to a career in coding.

Prior to starting SheCodes, I had no coding experience nor knew if it was something I'd enjoy, but Matt's videos are fun and super easy to follow. The challenges in between lessons are a perfect test of what was just learned. Even if I didn't grasp a concept initially, I could always go back and watch the lessons; even from previous modules. What I really enjoyed is I could watch the videos and do my homework from anywhere in the world, on my own time. I am also grateful for the amazing SheCodes team who were quick, kind and patient when answering questions. Thanks!!

I had always thought that coding and programming languages were so difficult and totally unlearnable, but only 3 weeks in my coding journey and I can't believe I am totally killing it! If you are looking for a systematized knowledge, you need to study and have fun) with SheCodes. I was looking for a systematized knowledge and I had almost given up. I went in just to see what they had and they were the friendliest people! They helped me find the perfect way to rich my goals. SheCodes has flexible, understandable and at the same time rich material that helps to acquire the necessary skills and their team is the best.
Matt's videos were easy to follow and understand and it was a lot of fun to get through this project! It was definitely a learning curve but I look forward to the next part of the program!

The way the class is built is just perfeeeect! 💜It's super easy to follow and to understand in a short amount of time (actually, a lot less than I thought it would take!). 💜The classes are divided into bite sized videos, never too long, never boring, just straight to the point. 💜The comprehension of the given material is helped (a lot) by the mandatory (and short) exercices. 💜The fact that you have to send the exercises after each important class and that you have “specific dates” to give them back, makes me feel accountable for my own progress. 💜Also, the flexibility of the curriculum make the workshops a lot more fun (for me at least!) because there is no pressure at all. Cannot wait to continue to the next workshops. 🤗
I know nothing about coding at the beginning now I can say that I can code!! It was a great opportunity and adventure. So much fun than I thought. I'm looking forward to the next level of coding.

I appreciate how SheCodes doesn't underestimate the participants. In most coding courses I've followed, you have to 'copy the instructor', but here you get a challenge where you have to apply what you've learnt in a different scenario than the explanation video. I've had a lot of fun with the homework; and that's a first! The freedom you get in your solutions is great, since you don't have to deliver an exact match. If you have a solution that's slightly different than the suggested one, that's no problem at all!

I came to SheCodes because I wanted to learn coding, it was something I've always wanted to learn and SheCodes made it fun. I understand way more than I did before and now I'm going to use this knowledge to keep learning. I'm super happy that I've taken the basic's course.
Extremely fun! I got a CS degree in college and started these workshops because we didn't learn much front-end. I feel like I'm learning as much as my college coursework yet am having more fun while doing so!

The first three weeks of the basic course were very interesting. Information is available, very easy to learn. Before I started the course, I thought coding was boring and not for me. Matt and his team proved otherwise. I can and it's fun.

This eight-week workshop was definitely challenging but allowed me to stay on a schedule to build upon what I learned in the first three-week workshop. I really enjoyed learning from Mat's lessons because he made quite advanced concepts in HTML, CSS, & JS understandable. His step-by-step approach makes code that would otherwise be daunting surmountable. To be able to create a fully functional app that utilizes real data in real-time truly gives me a sense of accomplishment in learning coding. I really feel that I have made a massive amount of progress in such a short time.
I've learnt a lot while making my own site. It was fun learning responsive grids, making my website responsive and SEO-friendly. Thanks a lot!
SheCodes Plus was much challenging as compared to SheCodes Basic. Even then, the advantage of SheCodes courses is that we can re-watch the videos, and we are able to get great help from the SheCodes Team on the Slack channel, who answer our questions ever so patiently and promptly. It is also great that Matt will explain the rationale behind certain concepts and some good practices, rather than just step-by-step theory. It is a sense of achievement and joy when we see the codes work properly! Lastly, it is inspiring and fun to browse the projects of other students! Thank you SheCodes Team!
SheCodes has been super interesting and fun! Every lesson is very well taught and the challenges afterwards make sure you can remember and apply what you have learned. When I go to websites now, I always want to figure out how they are coded and there are even times when I think I could do that myself after only 3 weeks! I can't wait to learn more!

I was able to work at my own pace and received much help from classmates and SheCodes staff through Slack. All reference material was accessible at the press of a button if I ever found myself stuck in any particular section of my projects. I have some previous experience in HTML and CSS from my high school days so I didn't begin from block one. However, I can say this course challenged me, was super fun and it was so satisfying when you figured out a problem!

Great course for someone without any prior coding experience. Matt manages to keep the lessons educational and fun. It sure takes some time, but thanks to the bite-sized lessons, I was able to fit the course in with my full time working schedule. Would definitely recommend for absolute beginners!

I discovered SheCode while scrolling through Instagram. I've always been interested in tech but it can seem pretty overwhelming when you are a complete beginner. I'm so glad I took the free 60-min coding session with Matt. It gave me the confidence I needed to finally try it. I thought JS was going to be the most challenging part, but for me was CSS since your trying to style with code instead of a brush or your apple pencil 😅... who knew 🤷♀️ . Altogether, it was a wonderful experience. Lessons are pretty straightforward and the Slack channels are very helpful! Creating a website yourself is an exciting process and super fun!
I had so much fun taking this course and learning more about the coding that goes into the website my team works on! Javascript was challenging, but I was very excited once I was able to work through how to get my final project to function the way that I wanted it to work.
