It was pretty complex as I've never worked with an API before, but I had fun gathering all the necessary data and putting it together in a neat-looking app. It's an excellent next step from the basics and I think it's great we get to learn how to work with GitHub and how to host the website.
It was not an easy workshop but definitely a fun one! Looking forward to learning even more about React in the future.
Excellent dive further into HTML, JS, and CSS. The course challenges could be tough, but because the lesson content was engaging and digestible, it helped to motivate me to keep pushing through until I got it right. Getting my feet wet with GitHub and API was so helpful. Thank you for another awesome course -- I had so much fun building the weather app!

I really enjoy learning with Matt! I thought I wouldn't be able to code, but surprisingly in a few hours, I was already doing it and learning a lot :) The exercises are fun, and the method of learning and putting it right away into practice makes all the difference because I got motivated to continue. The videos are easy to follow, and everything is explained effectively. In the future, I hope I can join the next level!

I loved every second of this course! Seeing I actually have built a fully functional website by the end of this course, is such a great feeling. Everything is explained very well and I went through each lesson easily. I also used SheCodes weather API and it is much easier to work with.
Easy to follow along instructions that built week on week. It's so fun to to see the result of your work come together in a website you've built from scratch at the end. I feel so much more knowledgeable about coding in just 3 weeks and I hope to move on to the Plus course soon.

SheCodes Basics was very helpful for someone like me who is totally new in the IT or coding industry. The instructions in each video by Matt were very clear and precise. The basic fundamentals that he taught us in each video were easy to follow and replicate in exercises. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested to learn more coding.

I enjoyed this course very much, for someone new to coding, this workshop was fairly easy to follow. Each task allowed me to practice and advance my coding skills; the instructor did an amazing job explaining the content in a short but comprehensive way. Specifically, creating the weather app for the final project was a really fun challenge.
I enjoyed doing the course, however, I didn't learn much. Before this course, I followed another one which was free and lasted one week. It was just a promotional course by a coding Bootcamp to show what kind of things they did in the school. I learned much more that week (and I haven't even finished it) than doing this structured and paid course. Many fundamental aspects are not explained, while some simple things are repeated multiple times. Moreover, the exercises weren't really challenging. I guess it's an okay start if you have zero experience, but the price is still too high for what they teach you. Nonetheless, I have to say that when I asked a question on the chat they answered very rapidly, so great work in that sense.
I really enjoyed learning with sheCodes, Matt is an excellent instructor he made this fun and not-complicated. The shecodes team are so supportive and friendly. I am excited to continue my coding journey.

Believe it or not, I was skeptical (at first). I did not envision this introductory coding workshop to be THIS fun! I really enjoyed it from beginning to end! 10/10! 😊 Not only did they reinforce what were taught during the lessons, the weekly challenges and final project allowed for creativity, and actually motivated me to enjoy the coding experience even more! Slack was amazing as well! As someone with limited coding skills, these hands-on lessons gave me the confidence, now, coding in HTML/CSS/JavaScript and not scare me away! Hello, I think taking Shecode workshop was defiantly a great decision. At first I was a little hesitant because I’m a busy mom of two toddlers. I spent about 1-2 hrs per day on the lessons. Matt is at amazing teacher he really breaks down each lesson for easy understanding. This workshop was 3 weeks long and it covered the fundamentals . I would defiantly take more shecodes workshops.
I enjoyed learning how to build a page from scratch. This experience was the best. I have a perfect understanding of how everything has a function.
SheCodes Plus was great - I found the course challenging, however with Matt's informative lessons and the support of his team on Slack I was able to complete it and build my very own, fully functioning weather app! I'm so proud of myself! Thanks :)
SheCodes is really well structured, with short lessons and challenges after each lesson, it gives you the right pace and constance, keeping your attention span high and, mostly, your motivation to keep going and always want to learn more and more. No need to sit glued to your chair taking boring, hours-long lessons that get you nowhere... Coding is mostly PRACTICE and Matt knows it well, taking the education system to another level: smart, fun and productive, focusing on quality over quantity, as lessons are short but they give you ALL the tools you need to start coding on your own. SheCodes learning path is as simple as it is effective, and it is "programmed" for literally anyone. In only three weeks I was able to build a project which I really love and I am very proud of. To have been able to go from not knowing really anything about putting an engaging webpage together, to implementing the information right away in challenges and hw projects. It was that kind of practice that really solidified the material for me. I feel like I can just sit around and whip up a quick and simple landing page from start to finish, while getting really creative with it's interaction with the user visually as well as functionally!

I had such a fun week during the Responsive add-on. I felt I was able to learn something very useful through the real life project which I really love to design, color etc. I can get more creative with these skills and enjoy coding everyday. I don't know what is coming for the React add-on weeks however, I believe I will be happy to learn more!

I enjoyed learning about different programming languages other than R and Python, having experience in both helped me understand HTML, CSS, and Javascript more easily. I greatly enjoyed the creative aspect of CSS with all of the aesthetics that could be altered for the project. I also both hated and enjoyed functions in JavaScript and enjoyed learning from both Matt and looking for information and tutorials online. This was an enlightening experience and I have to say - more fun than function writing in Python.
I only just recently graduated from university and found myself questioning what the next chapter for me is. As I continued to do so, I bumped into SheCodes, allowing me to expand on other possible future careers I may be interested in. So far I only completed the first workshop which to my surprise was actually really fun and simple to follow thanks to Matt and his very helpful videos. Would strongly recommend SheCodes to anyone that is looking for a website that contains all the sources they need to learn the basics of coding - HTML, CSS etc.

I LOVED SheCodes Responsive. It's really exciting to learn how to make content responsive, especially in this mobile device heavy world. It was really fun being able to build a functional personal website as well. As always, Matt did a fantastic job at clearly explaining everything but allowing you to put your own spin on the project as well.
I found this very useful in teaching me the fundamentals of different coding languages.

I really enjoyed the Plus course, for me this was an excellent way to learn with the lessons, in addition to the challenges and then the homework also. I aspired, I built, I problem-solved (like my life depended on it) and I conquered the final project. I have now created a fully functioning weather app. I now feel like I have a lot more understanding and can try things on my own a lot more than when I had only completed Basic, and I am most definitely going to consider the Pro course or maybe even the Max course, when I am able to afford one or both 😅 until then I plan on giving the new SheCodes Challenges a go 🥳
I can say this program was so fun and pleasing that it didn't feel like any other projects at all. It wasn't something I had to do, it was something I couldn't wait to do.

The course was a wonderful insight in to the world of coding for a complete novice such as myself. I felt it provided a great platform in to what coding is about and although it was overwhelming at first I thoroughly enjoyed it! If you are thinking about enrolling on to the course and haven't yet done it because you are unsure, please do give it a go as I learnt so much and had a lot of fun at the same time.

Thanks SheCodes Plus and the SheCodes team! I have learned so much during such a short period of time. I couldn't really stop coding and finished the course much earlier than planned 💕 After only the first two course weeks with CSS, HTML and Bootstrap I had the confidence to start building my own website as a side project. And then, building the weather app was a real challenge. But it was fun and I have really come to understand the huge potential of JavaScript and API:s. I'm looking forward to SheCodes Responsive!
I learned a lot about making websites through this workshop. I had not realized how much work it really is! But I had a lot of fun, some frustration, but at the end of the day, everything works out and it brings a lot of joy.
A great, challenging course! Matt is an excellent teacher - the material was concise and easy to understand. I loved how well-structured the course is and the focus on practical/hands-on experience. It also helped that the course is self-paced and very flexible. It was fun building a webpage and learning in a supportive community. The Slack thread helped a lot. I don't think I would have had the motivation and guidance to learn coding by myself, so I highly recommend this course.
A well thought-out, deeper dive into HTML, CSS and JS. Lots of new and advanced information is given throughout this course. The advancement between this course and the previous is quite large, and most weeks you walk away feeling like you have learnt a lot of new things. The final project was fun to execute and learn!
I was a little intimidated by the React workshop, but it was a lot of fun and I ended up really enjoying it. The videos were easy to follow and understand, I would highly recommend this workshop. 😄😃

This course has been challenging, but it's been a lot of fun and the resources and the support from SheCodes have been brilliant 🤩 Whenever I've had a question I could either find the answer in the SheCodes Slack channels, or ask them in Slack myself and I'd get an answer very quickly. With the tools we're given, I was also able to experiment a little with my code. I'm a graphic designer, and I wanted to design my own weather icons for the weather app we needed to create. The people at SheCodes had no problem with that, and I managed to include them and I'm so chuffed with the results! If anyone out there is keen to take this course but you can't quite decide; you'll learn so many tools and techniques and you'll be amazed by what you're able to create at the end! I was nervous too, but now I'm so glad I did it!! Plus, you have a lifetime access to the lessons so what you learn will never go out-of-date, as they update their lessons to reflect any new techniques, updated software, etc.

This course has been an interesting and fun way to approach coding.
This course really tested my analytical abilities. It took me quite a while to catch on during the Week 1 activities, and I was significantly frustrated by how slow I was at completing the tasks. Week 2 was much more enjoyable as I became more familiar with the process and with the coding languages. The final project was a lot of fun, as well as a lot of back-and-forth of tweaking things to get them to where I was satisfied with the end result. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has an interest in understanding how webpages are constructed, and the creative possibilities this training can open up for you.
This was a great experience! I had so much fun learning how to code. The Basic workshop helped me to make my final decision. That I want to code in my career choice. The result of my project made me feel so proud of myself and motivated me to continue learning.

Once again learned a ton in this new add on. Learned new JS library which saved me so much time when working with dates and times 🙈 a dozen line of code replaced with a simple function.
