SheCodes is the most non-intimidating way to get started on coding. Lessons are bite sized, fun and interactive. Loved that there were many challenges along the way so you're not just sat there listening to lessons for hours on end like a lot of other courses out there. Whether you're experienced or not, SheCodes basics sets a great foundation to whatever you're working towards.
I really enjoyed working on this one-week challenge project about my favorite hobby. My goal was to practice using some new CSS properties, and learning how to change my page to Dark Theme using JavaScript functions. It was fun!
I learned so much about advanced Bootstrap, Flexbox, Media Queries, and multiple-page hosting. I got creative with my coding skills and built a unique online portfolio that I am proud of. But what really made the workshop special was the teacher, Matt. He was simply amazing. He was knowledgeable, and passionate about what he was teaching. He provided clear explanations and examples that made it easy to understand complex concepts. Thanks to Matt, I not only learned a lot, but I also had fun doing it. Overall, it was a fantastic learning experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to expand their coding skills.

Since joining SheCodes Basic, I feel like I have learned so much than I did going the traditional route in school! Matt made it easy to understand the concept that was being taught. SheCodes Basics was a great way to start learning Web Development! The lessons are thorough, easy to follow up and the homework and project really put together all the information we learned over the last weeks. Two of my favourite things about the last weeks: the way the course is designed still pushes you to research on your own, which I found challenging but rewarding. Also, the fact that the course allows for self management - you can choose the times that better suit you, there are deadlines but all the classes are recorded so people who work or have other responsibilities can manage to learn and build a new career for themselves. This week was amazing too! I really enjoyed learning about CSS background, CSS transform and CSS grids! The HTML class manipulation is the trickiest one amongst all the topics I've studied in the last few days, but once you understand all the steps you have to take, it becomes super fun! Even this time Matt was really good at explaining everything.
Just finished SheCodes Basics, and there wasn't a moment when I felt like I couldn't understand it. Homework was fun to make. Before enrolling this workshop, I was sure of my knowledge of HTML & CSS, but any line of JS would make my brain go blank! And during the workshop, I could relisten and reread information about JS that was hard to understand, and eventually I got all lessons! Can't wait to start my next workshop 🤗
I work in Real Estate and take care of our database software which is linked to our website. I started the SheCodes Basic class to learn to understand exactly that: the basics and how a website actually works. I was surprised how much fun coding is and I am really really happy that I decided to take the class.

This was incredibly fun. I enjoyed learning many more responsive coding methods. In this workshop, I learned so many more advanced ways to code! I learned more HTML and CSS methods to create more responsive elements on a webpage on various devices. I had so much fun researching and figuring out how to bring ideas to life that I didn't even learn in the workshop.
I liked working on this project, besides the fact that I had the opportunity to show my passion, it was fun to juggle the photos to get the desired collage.

One of my favourite workshops that I've completed this far!! This project was definitely handy in cementing certain concepts like conditional rendering & looping through arrays. My confidence in using these concepts has grown greatly between the two React workshops. Practice is key so having two guided react projects was much appreciated! Overall, it was a FUN challenge!! 🤩

This is a really well structured, fun and thorough introduction into coding. It doesn't assume you have base knowledge like a lot of platforms, so is very accessible in that way. I feel more confident about learning more now, it would have been difficult to gain this kind of knowledge in a self directed way without feeling overwhelmed.

I love love love shecodes. Its an awesome place to learn coding and believe me have tried several places. From udemy to codeacademy to youtube but none beats shecodes. Shecodes made learning code so easy and fun. Its quite funny but i sometimes dream about bugs on my line of code then wake up thinking how to solve the bug i have or how to complete an assignment. I had the most challenging yet fun time learning the basics of Front End with SheCodes. I'm impressed I actually got to finish the project which couldn't be real without the amazing SheCodes team assisting during the whole learning journey. Some of the parts were especially hard to understand, but Matt made sure each lesson has a detailed and step-by-step explanation. I will have a bit of rest and definitely jump to the next advanced chapter!

I am a very creative and curious person but also love things that require problem-solving and cognitive stimulation. When I found Shecodes, I didn't know what to expect. I wanted to try out coding and see what it would be like to create my own landing page from scratch, but I felt like I was diving into the 'deep-end' with no prior knowledge or experience. I thought I would have to be super intelligent and love maths/science to code. I was so wrong! Shecodes showed me how taking the risk was worth it. I fell in love with coding during the 3 weeks of trying it out! Matt and everyone at Shecodes provide a welcoming and supportive space for beginners and people of all skill levels to dive into coding. Matt's engaging and easy-to-follow video lessons, as well as the creative and fun challenges/homework provided, have meant that I have gained so much confidence over the 3-week course in a field that I thought I wouldn't thrive. SheCodes is an amazing platform for all women to become curious and be creative through interactive coding workshops! I am intrigued by technology, coding and digital development but also have a passion for gender equality, and so I love the ethos of Shecodes at what they are doing for women worldwide; from opening up potential career paths to women in a sector where female representation is sparse, to even providing people with a starting point to develop and flourish within a new hobby/ interest. I am now going to continue coding and maybe look into careers in the Tech industry. I'd highly recommend giving coding a shot, especially through a Shecodes workshop!
