It has been very fun working with real data, it makes a student feels is in the correct path. Also, watching Matt coding the project teaches a lot, not only coding but how a programmer has to think.
Well, it was challenging, overwhelming and fun. Not to mention I love it here.
I had a lot of fun creating the weather app, learnt a lot & grow a lot from the process. Do you know that you can inject HTML directly from JS? Well, I didn't, but now I do! I love tough challenges & can't wait to be faced with more challenging projects!

I never thought learning to code would be so fun and challenging at the same time, but the more you struggle, the more you learn.
Building a portfolio is a fun project to work on and I try not to be a perfectionist when it comes to responsive but it takes a bit of time to learn and build that kind of skills.
I'm so amazed at how much I've learnt in a span of a week! This workshop has been so much fun and Matt truly explains every step concisely. I'm also quite proud with how far I've come juggling a full-time job along with a full social calendar. This goes to say that with motivation, you can truly do anything :)

First and foremost, the workshop was incredibly well organised. The workshop itself was divided into well-structured modules, each building on the previous one. This progressive approach allowed me to grasp the fundamentals of coding in a logical and practical manner.

SheCodes was a good workshop for me as I have already learned how to code in school but never really understood why to use a certain element or how to use JavaScript functions. Even after delaying for months finishing up the lessons and projects, I have recently found myself going through everything fast as the lessons are very straightforward and fun, it has given me the motivation to get into coding again after a long burnout, therefore I do recommend it to anyone who has an interest or has been having difficulties on learning how to code.

I loved the theoretical building of a weather app and over the course of the course learning to implement real time features to make it an actual app with real data. I enjoyed learning how to use GitHub in combination with Visual Studio Code and getting to host my own page. The course perfectly build on prior knowledge of the Basics course and I had fun expending my coding skills.
Wow, I cannot believe I have completed the full Max curriculum! I have learnt so much since starting and can now create webpages and webapps with different coding languages and tools. I have to thank Matt Delac as his videos, challenges and homework have guided me to this point. It has been very fun (and hard at some points). I cannot recommend this course enough and look forward to a future with all this knowledge under my belt!
I can highly recommend SheCodes Basics to anyone who wants to get an insight into coding. The very flexible curriculum makes it easy to study whenever time is given. I enjoyed coding with SheCodes! That's just it. I had loads of fun, some tears too because there were times my code wouldn't work and I'd be frustrated but soon, I'd be laughing through my tears at the silly mistake. I started the SheCodes Plus with so much euphoria and enthusiasm. Unlike the Basic, Plus proved to be more challenging, which is as it should be of course. I was suddenly struggling to meet deadlines since I also had a lot going on for me during the period. At some point, I was discouraged honestly. But I have a great Instructor! Along with his patient explanations, he kept encouraging. I'm grateful. The best of it is the team! Thank you SheCodes team! Even if we have hundred questions a day, you are ever ready to give fast replies. Even when it's a little mistake we couldn't see in our frenzy, you are very patient with us and ready to show us where we missed it. Please, do not stop at Basic so you don't miss out on all the fun. I chose SheCodes, or she chose me and I don't regret a minute of it. You wouldn't either!

I had zero knowledge of coding and thought that you needed to be good at maths. I quickly found out that you don't. SheCodes Basics is very easy to understand and fun way to get into coding. Through homeworks, challenges, projects and the help I got from the SheCodes team, helped me understand coding basics and that it wasn't that difficult as I thought. I don't regret a second choosing SheCodes. Best investment I have done in my life. I do HIGHLY reccomend it. I want to thank Matt and the SheCodes team for everything. Keep the good work up! The whole process of learning was fun! I liked the fact that there were challenges to be completed. It does not only help me learn, but also master the skills for that particular lesson. It also allowed me to research and discover things that were not discussed in the video lecture.
SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to the fundamentals of coding. The classes were easy to understand and accompanied by practical exercises, so you learned by doing. I liked that the solutions to the exercises were generally not so obvious and sometimes even a little tricky. I look forward to continuing my coding journey with SheCodes! ✨

As a coding newbie this has been challenging but so much fun! It's a great start to learning the basics. I love the small, focused steps of learning with application tasks throughout the week followed by a more challenging application task at the end of the week. The scaffolding of the learning is fantastic with learners signposted to lots of resources to help them. While my end of unit project won't win any design awards, I'm so proud of what I have learned in just 3 weeks!
I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid £1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost £500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.
