It was quite an experience (a fun experience) to learn these coding (html, CSS and JavaScript) languages with Matt and the SheCodes. I am now 100% certain that coding is something that I want to continuously learn and end up pursuing as a career.
The Add-on projects are always fun to code with fail-safe step-by-step instructions. I really enjoyed this workshop and look forward to start the next ones ✨
Learning the basics of coding really wasn't easy ,it was frustrating at times but as soon as I got to understand what I was doing, coding became fun. I believe the challenges I faced allowed me to gain critical skills which I know are crucial in the world of tech. This challenge was truly amazing and working along side the many women empowered by SheCodes pushes me to want to do better and continue learning as much as I possibly can. Afterall anything is possible all thanks to SheCodes :-).

This is my second SheCodes Add-on, which I found quite important, due to the complexities of learning how to understand universal time zones or the world clock. From what I hear other software engineers say, time zones can be tricky and troublesome when you run into problems with different rules and combinations of rules. I highly recommend trying this course and getting familiar with coding dates and times. I had fun with this project!
At first it was overwhelming because I hardly knew anything about coding but I got the hang of it so quickly, soon it was fun and challenging, which I enjoyed.
Great experience and I love it. So happy that Matt was able to explain that coding is fun, doesn't require math, and anyone can do it.

Another fantastic workshop and end project. There were parts of this that I found a little difficult but after going back and working through what I did It didnt take long to find the problem. I enjoyed this project lots of fun and feels really good to have built something that looks as if Id find it on any big travel site!
I love that the class is essentially self-directed with deadlines and support. Makes it feel like a live class and I am really enjoying coding. It's fun and challenging and I can for-see this being something I do long-term.
It's a more advance workshop and I must say it was enjoyable and tricky which made it even more fun!
It's a really fun a quick way to learn the basics of coding! The quick interval of learning and then applying what you have just learnt makes the material stick and the progress quick!

To be creative in a different way has been fun to figure out and work through; I learn best by getting stuck in. Able to fit in around my work/home commitments and broken up into bitesize chunks helps for quick referencing and easier to take in. WOW SheCodes Plus has been one hell of a journey 😅 I'm so proud of my weather app! 🌈 There were times I thought I might throw my laptop out the window but then I would find the bug causing the problem and honestly, this is the most satisfying feeling. It's funny how convinced you can get that the whole thing is just wrong and it'll literally be ONE semi-colon or something equally tiny that's missing that breaks the whole thing. Anyway, thanks again Matt, your ability to deliver complex information in bitesize chunks is great and being able to see our project get upgraded more and more as we apply what we're learning is a great way to see our skillset grow. I'm still challenged by a lot of the JS stuff but the repetition involved has gotten me to a point I didn't think I would ever get to when I first started SheCodes Plus.
I had a lot of fun making my rainbow forecast app https://rainbowforcast.netlify.app/ and learned so much during this course. All lessons and homework prepared me for this project very well.
A fun little project, it wasn't too complicated, but it was a nice refresher course for the use of APIs.

I always had an interest in coding but didnt know the resources or basics. SheCodes made it way simplier for me to be more encouraged and continue with my interest in coding. Participating in the SheCodes Responsive Workshop was an enriching & stimulating experience. The course material concentrated on the intricacies of responsive web design to create web solutions which are both aesthetically pleasing & functionally efficient whilst ensuring the curriculum was easily digestible through a practical hands-on approach rehearsing the technical proficiencies acquired (e.g., Flexbox & Bootstrap).

Building the weather application in React was tricky but the step-by-step videos broke down the process. I am proud that I have learnt to use React and used functions, use states and Axios for this project.
So far it has been super easy to learn. All weeks are very well structured, and the method of presenting new information is fun and motivating to learn even more. Also, i find very interesting the way we are teased to go learn on our own and it really feels like a game to me. Pretty happy by now :) I'm excited to see what's next!
Attending the coding workshop on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript was a delight! The sessions were not only fun but also incredibly easy to follow, making complex coding concepts feel accessible. Really fun and challenging course. There was a lot of content and new skills to learn but the lessons and workshops were well paced so you never felt overwhelmed.

Shecodes crossed my path through my TikTok 'for you page', the gal was talking about a free coding workshop. I thought "It's free, why not check it out?". I missed the live workshop and to my surprise, I received a email with a recording of the workshop. While watching the workshop, I was thoroughly engaged through the entire video and thought "Oh my goodness, this is cool!" I knew I wanted to learn coding! I immediately contacted Shecodes to register. Silly me, I choose to start the workshop right before the holidays, which halted my progress a bit. After the beginning of the year, I began to focus. Learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript through the basics workshop has been exciting although I didn't realize it was going to come with some other emotional experiences. It was fun, challenging and frustrating; I even cried a few times. Through all of it, figuring things out, being able to complete the challenges and the homework; then have everything make sense with the Project is beyond personally rewarding! Building a functional weather app with APIs was no doubt one of the hardest projects I've ever worked on. However, the sense of accomplishment, and feeling proud of the work I've done are indescribable. SheCodes continues to amaze me with all the well-structured lessons and awesome tools.
I really enjoyed this basics course. It was fun and informative. It made the world of coding a little less daunting and I liked experimenting with different techniques. I struggled at times to fit in the course around my work (12 hour shifts!) but extending deadlines was very easy and more importantly, non-judgemental.

I am grateful to have been accepted. This is an opportunity, I will always be grateful for, when I got accepted, I didn't start immediately, I kept on pushing my starting date forward because of school work, that is one of the things I like about SheCodes, it allows you to start at your own convenient time. I started but I couldn't complete the basics, I felt sad, I wanted to quit but thanks to my friend who encouraged me. Hello,i'm Phillipa and my journey so far has been quite interesting actually.First of all,my motivation behind my interest in coding stems from a profound fascination with the power to create and innovate.As i delved into the world of tech,i realized that coding isn't just about creating lines of code but of building functional pages;pages that can be used by various kind of people as they carry on with their daily duties online.So far i have come across different challenges but i am grateful for the brief but clear videos that have been created by Matt. At least now i have a better understanding of the different concepts that i came across in this level. Yes i made mistakes and almost gave up but i realised that nothing comes easily,especially if it's something that you've always dreamt of learning and growing with. In essence,my motivation behind my interest in coding lies in the belief that it's a tool for empowerment, a catalyst for change, and a gateway to endless possibilities.

The Plus workshop is a huge jump from the Basics and Basics Add-On courses offered by SheCodes. With plenty of time to learn and practice, this workshop is really covers some complex topics like axios, API Calls, more Javascript functions, and a development workflow with multiple files and use of github.
