This is a fun and detailed course for beginners. However I needed more than 5 hours a week to commit to doing this, it was definitely worth it. Supported by a great SheCodes community on Slack. Thanks for helping me get accredited!

The course was fairly basic but it allowed me to understand the fundamentals of web development and reinforce my understanding on the subject.
This was a very short, fun course and I learned a lot super quick! I would definitely recommend 10/10!
The SheCodesPlus workshops helped me to set up strong JavaScript fundamentals and made me more confident for what's coming next. The pace was intense but it allowed me to practice more. The lessons are well balanced in terms of knowledge and challenge and there is always someone to assist you when you struggle. I highly recommand this workshop to anyone who wants to learn JavaScript in a fun and challenging way.
SheCodes workshop has left me feeling more confident in my ability to learn new technical skills. I originally signed up for the course, because I thought coding would be a useful skill to learn if you want to become a UX designer. However, SheCodes has really sparked my interest in coding as more than a means to an end. Coding is really fun! I enjoyed the lessons and it helps that Matt is a great teacher. I can't wait to learn more!
I had an amazing time doing the SheCodes React workshop and learned a lot. I had lots of fun building my weather app, and I think having an instructor ready to help me whenever I got stuck made a great difference. I feel I have a good basis now to build on, and it convinced me to pursue a career in coding! Thanks Matt, João and the entire SheCodes team for the support and experience!
I found the course well-structured and the Homeworks very challenging. Matt is an excellent teacher: it's not easy to explain Java Script with a clear, simple, and fun approach. I think it really worth taking on new challenges and learn something interesting. Honestly, I'm surprised of having been able to build a little project in just a few weeks!
I really enjoyed SheCodes and would definitely recommend for an easy following introductory into coding, its been so fun!! I can't wait to learn more.
SheCodes is a great platform that makes it fun to learn and makes sure the students sincerely learn everything they aim at teaching. It is so much worth to take the challenge to learn something new and useful. This course opened my mind to the realm of coding, which everyday becomes more inherent and vital to our daily lives. I enjoy the fact that Matt explains each lesson clearly and simply. With each homework, he challenges me to gain greater knowledge on coding and makes coding fun as well.
I have wanted to try coding for a very long time but was worried that I would struggle with it, as math and logic weren't my stronger subjects. Matt explains things in a clear, understandable way that takes you through skills step by step without overwhelming you with information. I had a lot of fun and I'm excited to continue learning. I'm normally someone that works on the creative end and have always been curious about coding but was always too intimidated to try. This workshop made learning to code approachable and fun.
React was so fun to learn, and the structure of this workshop made it so easy to pick up and actually remember. Matt is such a great instructor, and I really recommend this course to anyone who is interested getting into web development.

I loved these last 3 weeks. I had previous knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS before joining SheCodes, but this was the most hands on I have been with a class. It was exactly what I was looking for, and it was awesome! The video courses, challenges, and homework were so much fun to do - and I'm ending this first workshop with more confidence, and a better understanding of the basics of coding! Can't wait to code more!
SheCodes has taught me things I NEVER thought I could even look at and not freak out. These 3 weeks have been really fun, despite the challenges. I would recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to try something different and so relevant to the era we live in. With a wealth of online coding courses out there, it's hard to know which to trust and which will be most beneficial to a complete beginner! I was looking for a hands-on, fun and ultimately not too overwhelming approach to learning code- SheCodes ticked all the boxes! Hooray.

Not only was this an incredible learning experience, but it was also so much fun! I am excited to take my coding experience to the next level with greater confidence.
I love how the classes were divided, allowing each lesson to build on the fundamentals you are continually learning. I only knew enough coding "to be dangerous" before this course -- learning with purpose and direction was perfect to really make the concepts stick. I am so much more confident in my ability to create and troubleshoot!

I've learned about html and css in the past but this workshop really helped bring it all together. It was also a perfect introduction to javascript. Its motivating and fun to see what you can create after just a few hours!

I've learned that there are no barriers to learning. This experience challenged me to explore something new. I'm an undergraduate Biological Sciences student with the University of Maryland, College Park. With zero background in coding, my curiosity drove me to take this course during my winter break in a pandemic. The SheCodes 3 week workshop was just right for a beginner like me. SheCodes workshops eliminate common misconceptions about coding. Thanks to this platform I found out web development can be very creative and fun to learn. I had the best time in this class. The way it's laid out, it's so easy to go back over the materials. It was actually fun seeing my creations come alive online and it was great for me being able to go at my own pace. Can't wait to see what comes next!
I never thought learning code would be so fun...not easy though! Matt explains everything but you really need to commit. If you have a full time job as I, you may need to plan ahead. But for real the structure, the content and the homework is to the point, not to mention the exceptional support in Slack app. Thumbs up! 😁

I will say this again, shecodes is a fantastic course. There is nothing quite like it. I have taken many coding courses in the past for school and none of them were as fun or effective as shecodes. I highly recommend shecodes for anyone who is interested to learn. Shecodes is very easy to learn, has great support and overall is really fun.

Completing the SheCodes classes have really helped me communicate my UI designs to our dev team. It was super fun to be able to actually see a project through 100% on my own from designing it to coding. Because the class only required a few hours a week, I was able to complete the classes while working a full-time job. I was having so much fun, I ended up putting more time than required anyways! 👏

This has been an incredible journey. I joined this course with a basic understanding of coding and within 6 weeks I am able to showcase a functioning weather application. With the help of SheCodes, I was able to gain hands-on-experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GitHub, Netlify, and a host of other coding resources that made this project possible. Though this course was nothing short of challenging, I find that at the end of it all these skills will be invaluable in my career development and next level choices. What an excellent accomplishment to begin 2021.
Being curious about the world of coding, I enrolled in the introductory course by SheCodes. The fun challenge led me to realize the intricate development of the 'web' as we know it and forced my mind to engage with technology in new ways as I developed skills.
I loved this course, I found the tutorial really easy to follow and the challenges just difficult enough for an absolute beginner. I feel like I have a good grip of the fundamentals and looking forward to learning more!
This is one of the best courses I've ever had. Getting into React already knowing JS, HTML and CSS was so much fun and a lot easier than I expected. SheCodes methodology is very efficient and smart. Being able to look at code and understand it is something I never thought I would be doing in my life. Can't wait to learn more out in the world!

It's a very well crafted introductory course to web development. It keeps concepts functionally simple to understand & execute without complicating topics with theoretical details.
This course was so much fun! Matt does a fantastic job of explaining everything in each lesson. I love that sometimes there are things in the challenge that he didn't discuss, so that I can explore websites that will fill in any blanks.
As a UX Designer, having a basic understanding of HTML/CSS and javascript can make the hand-off of designs from designer to developer much smoother when we can speak the same language. This course has helped me understand how a developer might break down my designs and translate it into code as well as the functions of each element in the code.
SheCodes Plus course was challenging, but I learn a lot in a short time and had fun while doing that. The course is well structured and provides a good foundation for understanding how to code. I believe this is a big step in my transition to a career as a developer.
The SheCodes workshop was both fun and mentally stimulating. Each lesson is broken up into bite-sized pieces which makes it easy to fit into a busy schedule.
I'm having lots of fun remembering and learning to code. The lessons are super clear but with lots of information each to improve very fast you knowledge on coding. Literally your imagination is the limit! Can't wait for the Plus Workshop next week. :)

A really fun and educational workshop that's perfect for kickstarting your front-end coding journey. Matt explains everything thoroughly and down to "dummy level" which gives a great insight into why/how things work the way they do - something I've been missing with other coding teachers. Would highly recommend!
I enjoyed the SheCodes Workshop very much. The workshop pace is just right, and you can watch and rewatch the videos at your own time. Matt's videos and materials are very clear and I am able to follow and learn the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript. These topics were initially rather daunting, but this workshop exceeded my expectations. The Challenges at the end of each lesson help reinforce the teachings and allow us to practise. The website and videos are nicely done, and the SheCodes Radio helped me focus during my Challenges and project. It was a lot of fun doing the course and the project. I would like to thank Matt and team, and the team on Slack who answers our questions so promptly and readily! Thank you!

SheCodes Workshop totally exceeded all expectations of what I thought the course would be like, and what I would gain from doing it. The prospect of learning how to code (effectively from scratch!) was daunting at first, but the course format, structure of each lesson, set tasks/challenges and weekly homework projects made my coding journey not only fun and digestible, but also extremely rewarding. Being able to receive personal feedback as well as learn and take inspiration from other coders on the Slack channel was a real bonus, and it has been great to be part of the community! I'm really pleased with the knowledge and skills I've gained from doing the Workshop course, and can't wait to challenge myself further with SheCodes Plus/Plus React 😊.
Learning about vanilla JavaScript has finally demystified the "complexities". Before this course, I was very confused about how JavaScript worked. I knew that it is incredibly powerful and in fact powered most of the internet or websites. But I just didn't how it worked. This course gave me the wonderful gift of finally understanding and loving JavaScript and having a ton of fun with it. I finally understand that it is a language of functions and you create those functions to bring features to life. And incredibly so, learning JavaScript empowers you in understand other languages as well. It's truly incredible. Once again thank you to the whole SheCodes Team and Matt for this wonderful journey and all their support. I was terrible at programming in high school, so I didn't have much confidence in myself to do well at this course. The videos and challenges were well-structured and easy to follow, and I'm surprised both at how much I learned and how well I ultimately did. The course was a lot more satisfying and fun than expected, and I'm glad I did it!
