SheCodes Responsive workshop was a lot of fun! Excited to learn React workshop next 😊

Great intro course to coding. I enjoyed the homeworks and challenges. The videos were easy to follow and made the learning process fun. Plus the slack chat provides a supportive community. I'm excited to continue the next courses to become a pro!

I've never had so much success before with an online learning course. SheCodes makes everything easy to understand and is constantly testing our comprehension of the material by having us apply new knowledge in mini daily challenges, weekly homework, and over-arching projects. At the beginning of this 8-week course I couldn't possibly imagine what it would take to build a fully functioning vanilla weather forecast application. This course built upon the previous 3-week Basics Coding course, expanding in to using more advanced front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and Bootstrap, developing further Javascript skills, and dove in to how to integrate live API into our interactive application and how to normalize a development workflow using Git and Github. I know I still have so much more to learn, but looking back I can't believe I've come so far in such a short time! Thank you SheCodes!

SheCodes makes learning to code a smooth and fun process. The information is presented in an easily digestible format with deadlines that are easy to meet. This allows me to work on the projects when it fits my schedule best.

For everyone interested in coding, SheCodes is a great place to start learning. It's very interactive, fun, and you get all the help you need.

Before taking this workshop I had some (self-taught) notions of HTML and CSS, but it was really great to learn how all the pieces fit together and the order of it. Javascript was really fun to learn. I will definitely study it more, for I can see it has a multitude of applications. Matt is a great instructor, explains everything step by step in a very easy to understand way and follow along.

I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone, even without any prior knowledge of coding languages. It is super straightforward and understandable, and because it is split into small steps you can easily follow and learn. I started this program with no experience and these past three weeks have been so fulfilling. I feel very confident that I'll be able to implement everything I have learned so far towards future work endeavors and personal projects. The modular classes are easy to follow along, the assignments are challenging but not impossible, and the final project was actually very fun to develop. If you are considering taking this course, I highly encourage you to start it ASAP.

I was hesitant to start learning how to code, because I thought I couldn’t do it, but now I’m very happy I did it. This SheCodes Basic's Workshop was amazing, I had a lot of fun, and it was interesting to know how to build a website from scratch. The Basic course was already incredibly good and made fun for more. That's why I followed the Plus course directly. In between it was really challenging and exhausting. However, it was always worthwhile to continue and to follow through. I would definitely like to take the Responsive and React course. As someone who was feeling intimidated at the beginning of this journey with coding, I must say I had a pleasant surprise! The course was so fun and enjoyable, the lessons are approachable and easy to understand. I had fun putting to practice all I had learned throughout the weeks.

I learnt a lot from this class, and it helps me to think and adapt to how the computer understands and reads commands. Also, it was fun and was not intimidating at all, a very easy transition into this new coding world for someone who does not have a computer degree at all.

This course was super challenging but fun at the same time. A big thank you to Matt and the whole SheCodes team for making this course a great experience. I feel like I gained an great amount of coding skills during the past few weeks and am excited to continue this journey. 😊

I loved my time doing this course! The lessons were well-planned and the curriculum is well-structured to provide scaffolding to learners. This was a really fun workshop to do! I am really glad that we had to build 2 different projects because you can definitely see the learning curve. In the first project I was struggling with React and getting constant error messages - in the second project I was already able to understand and use it much better. I am sure if I start creating some projects on my own that it will go smoother and smoother. Thanks for the mentoring and great help in the Slack community.

I've been wanting to do a portfolio website for a long time. So this is really a fun and necessary project for me ;)

I had basic knowledge about HTML and I remember customizing my own "MySpace" page back then. I remember how fun it was and sadly, I didn't know that it could be something that I can do as a grown up and earn money with. I had so much fun learning basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript for the past three weeks!

This was definitely a challenge but I had a lot of fun learning how to create this app!! Matt explained each section in such a clear, concise, and easily digestible way. I am so proud and ready for the responsive workshop!

It's so much fun working on your final weather app project step by step. It really gives motivation to see what you can already do in just a few weeks. Thanks to SheCodes I learned a lot. I highly recommend SheCodes as everything is explained so well & the support is great, during the video's where Matt is encouraging you to not worry when you get stuck and to take your time, but also in the Slack community where the team is answering your questions very quickly. I had so much fun during this workshop! The self-paced learning fit me perfectly as it gives me the opportunity to manage myself and have self-discipline. I had so much fun throughout this workshop, which is something I never thought I would be able to say about coding! Awesome Basic Workshop! A fantastic beginning class, a great middle between challenging but attainable. I learned a LOT and can't wait to continue on to the other courses. I really enjoyed the challenges at the end of each lesson, which helped to build and solidify my knowledge. I did have to take notes and re-watch some videos, but I quickly learned that's okay! Be kind to yourself and have fun and you will make it through! Matt's videos are easy to understand and follow--great teacher.

I am so proud of what I have learned and accomplished over these past weeks. Coding has been so much fun; it is something I now look forward to getting a chance to do. These lessons are so easy to digest and follow, and every time I think something is a little too challenging for me, I surprise myself by being able to do it with little to no difficulties. I also love the words of encouragement Matt gives - reminding us that we are very capable of doing this! I'm excited to keep learning more and for the day when coding is truly a second language to me!

I took this class for fun and indeed had fun. As someone who already had the basics of programming down prior to signing up to SheCodes, I must say that I am amazed how the first workshop i.e. SheCodes Basics is so well structured! From a beginner's perspective, it provides up-to-date basic knowledge and, most importantly, hands-on coding experience in a very easy-to-understand way, without being confusing or overwhelming at all! SheCodes Basic was a lot of fun and I can't wait for the next workshop to begin! :)

This course helped to get a basic understanding of fundamental concepts in CSS and dabbling in Java.

Learning coding again is really fun, as a DevOps Engineer I already knew how it works at the backend but never tried to Develop web applications. The course structure is very detailed and the challenges for every lesson makes it more interesting to implement the things we learn.

I always thought coding was only for super tech-savy people. But when Matt explained that coding does not necessarily mean you need to be a super tech person, or even able to install your family'a printer at home, I am became brave enough to try my fist lesson. Interestingly, it turns out to be so fun! It helps me regulate my thoughts and emotions. The feeling of building something from scratch into a clickable website is so satisfying. The open sources are also very accessible, so you can learn a lot daily.

SheCodes changed my mind about coding! I used to think coding was boring and inaccessible, but learned it is actually creative and a lot of fun. AND something I am capable of. SheCodes plus was eye-opening fun but also challenging! I have learned a lot from more advanced Javascript to new learnings such as IU development, Bootstrap, open-source codes on GitHub, development workflows, and API integrations. All came to use in the final weather application project, in which I am very proud to say that I built my own. Highly recommend SheCodes Plus if you want to learn advanced technologies and build your own projects!

I can say with great pride that I have built my first weather app, and I am super happy with the result. This workshop has been challenging at times, but I have had so much fun! As a result, I have acquired heaps of knowledge on API and Vanilla JavaScript. I never thought this would be possible, but Matt's lessons are so easy to follow and to understand. Thank you SheCodes I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience and cannot believe the progress I have made in such a small amount of time! from coding a mock webpage in HTML with some elements of CSS & JS to now having built a fully functional live weather app using APIs to update everything in realtime. I can't wait to continue learning and seeing my code come to life. I'm excited to apply this knowledge and what is to come to my future projects that I will build a portfolio with and hopefully complete my career change in 2022!!

I really enjoyed SheCodes Plus! It was definitely challenging, and a lot to learn. BUT the amount of knowledge I've gained in such a short time is amazing. I came across SheCodes while on Instagram, and later signed up on the 19/11 21 as I am now retired from nursing and have time for myself. Learning HTML,CSS and JavaScript was new and fun for me as Matt made the course very interactive with each lesson and a I felt sense of accomplishment when I completed each weeks assignment and recognize my achievements.
