I wanted to start learning coding, but couldn't find a workshop that seemed intuitive to follow and fun at the same time, until I found SheCodes. SheCodes had me having fun while learning. I learned a lot :)
I joined the SheCodes Basic workshop partly for fun, but also to learn some new skills in an effort to future proof my career. I felt a little nervous when it was due to start - would I be able to keep up? Was it going to be too complex? Would I just end up finding it boring? I didn't need to worry, as I found that the short and sharp videos from Matt were the perfect length to teach the fundamentals without being overwhelming, and I ended up really enjoying the challenges and project. I would often find myself losing track of time because I was so engrossed in what I was doing. I'm going on to SheCodes Plus shortly and really looking forward to seeing where my newfound basic skills will take me!
This was a fun and hands-on course. It is very easy to follow and a fun learning experience that does not take a lot of time!
I always thought that I would never be able to understand any programming language in my life but with Matt everything seems easier! We learn in a practical and fun way. I loved the final project!

Amazing hands-on training. Because they teach you how to test and visualize your code it is fun to play around while learning. Would not recommend just this workshop but the whole package > Shecodes PLUS.
I originally enrolled on a University course and I immediately hated it. I have to say that SheCodes has been VERY enjoyable, the concepts are easy to understand and applicable, the assignments make sense and it is actually a lot of fun!

SheCodes is a game-changer for anyone who is absolutely new to coding. After a week of learning the beginning, I have gained a lot of fundamentals and basic elements of coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
This was such a great workshop. I am really excited to learn more about coding with SheCodes. Matt`s teaching style was easy to understand and the challenges were fun. I will highly recomand this workshop!

I couldn't image that I would be able to comprehend JavaScript so good! Great lessons, great examples, it was really fun working at my weather app.

As always learning with SheCodes is simply fun! The videos and challenges are perfectly divided into manageable bits and the course material is so nicely structured, clear and straightforward. Matt is very good in explaining the topics and the team helping via Slack is just doing a fantastic job. What makes this so enjoyable is that you can move forward at your own pace while still feeling perfectly guided. It's so great to see the progress when building towards a final project and being able to shape your own ideas with CSS and Bootstrap in this course!
These weeks have been much fun, I can't wait to keep learning how to improve my code.

It was so much fun to create own webpage by my self! Actually it has been so busy working and learning coding at the same time, but coding helps me avoid thinking about my hectic real life. I extended some weeks to finish this project due to work, but SheCode team gave me extra time and it made me not give up coding.
I love coding but I got too overwhelmed trying to learn elsewhere. I have been able to learn on this platform with ease and I am having fun!
A really challenging but fun and rewarding course. I learnt and achieved more than I ever felt possible and am really proud of what I produced! I loved being able to do the course in my own time and being able to take breaks when I needed a week off. Absolutely loved the course, Matt explains everything in the way that an absolute beginner like me actually understands EVERYTHING! This has been such a worthwhile learning experience. I have found the workshop to be really engaging, fun, and easy to understand. SheCodes is a fun and easy to understand workshop that has absolutely rekindled my excitement for coding! I took classes many moons ago in high school but never pursued it after, and I forgot how much I enjoy it. The courses use easy to follow videos and many good analogies that help make coding languages make sense. I'm so excited to do this as a career!
I would recommend this course to all of those women who are looking to learn coding. Matt teaches in a way that is easily understandable, and keeps you engaged in a way that is fun and easy. After many years working with accounting, and increasingly becoming demotivated to continue, it was time to look for something new. The trigger to change was not easy and for a long time I kept looking at various career alternatives. Computers were always to me a source of information and entertainment, never a career option. I came across SheCodes through an add on Facebook. After researching the course and the inspiring posts made by former students, I decided to take the plunge and go all-in with the Pro program. With just completing the Basic course, I still cannot believe how much I have learned in such short period and how much fun I am having creating something completely new from scratch. With plenty to go, I am very excited to start SheCodes Plus next week! Thank you Matt and SheCodes team to provide us with this fun, creative and supportive way of learning!

SheCodes was an amazing experience for me. I’ve always been interested in coding but never had the discipline to sit down and do it. The homework and deadlines really helped me to stay on track. SheCodes changed my life showing easily my capabilities. At the end of each course you'll say "What??? Did I really do that??". And it's a good and incredible feeling. I'd like to recommend to all of the women who want to make a change in their job career, but especially to make a change in their life :) Lessons are fun, clear and completed; even when the object is extremely advanced or critical: Matt and the staff are always there for you and will teach you how you could find advice or example anywhere online. I never thought I would be able to read javaScript. I had so much fun coding these. The instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to complete this in less than 2 weeks. so happy with what I have learned :)
SheCodes Plus was such a wild ride! I really did have a great time. So many challenges and so many emotions, all resulting in a website I'm so proud of! There were times I was frustrated, but there were a lot more times where I was so satisfied to have been able to create this thing I had in my mind! Coding is proving, each day, to be a more and more useful skill. I'm so happy I got on this journey, I'm going to continue with the next workshops, the classes and the community make it so easy and fun to learn!

After years of working as a Product Owner with talented developers without being able to understand their language, I can finally build my own website. Learning with SheCodes has been easy, funny and fulfilling.
Not just informative and easy to follow but fun as well! I found the steps to be easy to follow and encouraging to actually be able to put what I learned to use immediately and see some fun results. It's also great that we're encouraged to branch out and experiment with what we've learned to make each project our own.
It was a great experience. The workshop schedule is very flexible but I found that once you start coding it's almost addictive and you can't stop until you've done all your challenges :). It was great to have this introduction to coding and realise that it can be understandable, accessible and quite fun!

The lessons were packed in very digestable bites, I could definetly see a steep learning curve and was pretty motivated by small successes. I had tought myself some of this knowledge already from online sources but it was good for me to have it explained properly and in it's entirety again. All in all it was really fun to do.
Working with SheCodes to build my first functioning website has been amazing! I feel like I understand what I am doing and if I get stuck the team has helped me through it!
Wow, I have to admit it was tough! But really, really stimulating. It feels so rewarding seeing a real weather app, with real data, and fully functional, built with my own hands! I learned so much during this course, I started to get a bit more used to Javascript and I was even able to write stuff on my own in the final project, which I couldn't imagine I would be able to do. I also loved learning how Git works! There's so much stuff I need to learn better, especially from the first weeks; but I think what I learned until now is already so much, so I have to thank Matt for all of this!
SheCodes opened me eyes to a completely different world that I didn't know I can have access to. I grew both personally and professionally and will continue to do so in the future. Thank you SheCodes for making my coding journey so unbelievably fun and exciting!

I had a lot of fun learning how to do some very basic things and plan to learn even more. One of the handiest things about this workshop was the ability to go back and re-watch this videos if I ever forgot how to do anything.
SheCodes made it possible to go from knowing nothing about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to creating a functional webpage in a matter of three weeks.
I really enjoyed the course and learned a lot. I'm still not on the first-name basis with my JS functions, but, hopefully, I will get a better grip of them further on. My goals of taking the course were learning how to use an API and getting to know GitHub better. Both goals achieved, facilitated by excellent presentation from Matt, as always.
I have studied React before this course help to refresh my mind on the fundamentals and more importantly know how to apply them into real projects.
In these modern days it is hard to get in touch with something that has nothing to do with digitization, so the ability to have at least a small overview about the functionality of digital tools, programs or anything like that is highly recommended. The initial impulse to put wood behind the arrow and to get my journey with SheCodes started, was when I changed my job in October 2021 and became a PMO in a small company building software for global telecommunication enterprises... I wanted to support myself getting to know and understanding this completely new, very complex working area and simultaneously broaden my mind. And you know what? It was definitely worth it! Yes, it is challenging, but Matt has a very cool way to explain and show things, which makes it easy to follow him and to get the challenges done. The most fun thing of course is to build your own project where you can live out your creativitiy and see if you really understood what Matt taught you.
Honestly, to say that this workshop helps me a lot to learn the techniques from scratch. Coding is really fun for me after SheCodes. Thanks to the SheCodes team and mentor Matt for creating this wonderful platform for education and forming the community of amazing women.

I wanted to start learning how to code but I didn't know where to start. I heard of SheCodes from Instagram, took a look into it, gave it a chance, and I'm glad I did. SheCodes has an approach of introducing the courses to you in a fun, inspiring, and engaging way. From looking at a code like it's complete gibberish, to understanding the basics and creating something of my own, I am ecstatic to learn more from SheCodes and of becoming the best software developer I can be.

I've never had so much success before with an online learning course. SheCodes makes everything easy to understand and is constantly testing our comprehension of the material by having us apply new knowledge in mini daily challenges, weekly homework, and over-arching projects. At the beginning of this 8-week course I couldn't possibly imagine what it would take to build a fully functioning vanilla weather forecast application. This course built upon the previous 3-week Basics Coding course, expanding in to using more advanced front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and Bootstrap, developing further Javascript skills, and dove in to how to integrate live API into our interactive application and how to normalize a development workflow using Git and Github. I know I still have so much more to learn, but looking back I can't believe I've come so far in such a short time! Thank you SheCodes!
SheCodes makes learning to code a smooth and fun process. The information is presented in an easily digestible format with deadlines that are easy to meet. This allows me to work on the projects when it fits my schedule best.

Before taking this workshop I had some (self-taught) notions of HTML and CSS, but it was really great to learn how all the pieces fit together and the order of it. Javascript was really fun to learn. I will definitely study it more, for I can see it has a multitude of applications. Matt is a great instructor, explains everything step by step in a very easy to understand way and follow along.
