I would highly recommend SheCodes! I was a complete beginner with little-to-none previous experience in coding, but lessons with Matt gave me a lot! Also the community is super helpful and generally amazing! I love the atmosphere! And I will surely come back for further courses once I gather funds!
Being a software engineer myself , and spending most of my time coding . i surely haven't had as much fun coding up until now. I found this platform extremely exciting! I have to say that these past 3 weeks were really fun and I learnt a lot. This is a great course for someone who wants to understand how websites function and for those who want to learn how to build their own. Woohoo! I have achieved my final certificate with SheCodes (React)! It's bittersweet as I'm going to miss the community and the staff. But I'm so very grateful for everything that I have learned and I'm so excited to continue learning and growing! Leaning to code with SheCodes was just the best experience, I'm so pleased I started my coding journey here. The perfect blend of challenging and fun. It was amazing how much I learnt in the Basics workshop and I have really surprised myself. Submitting weekly projects was a great way to see your progress and I found it easy to make time for study alongside my full-time job.

It has been a big pleasure and at the same time a big surprise this course. Coding is not what I imagined, I had lots of fun and enjoyed every minute of it.
It's been an absolute blast to take this course. Matt makes it so easy and he explains everything in a very pedagogical way. Fun fact: as an engineer I had a very short introduction to Python a few years ago, and I thought it was incredibly boring. Never ever had I thought that I (willingly) would take a coding course in the future. But here I am, and this course have been nothing like my previous experience. All of a sudden coding is extremely fun and I just want to learn more and more. I guess that's the difference between a really good teacher and a not so good one. Now I'm looking forward to taking SheCodes Pro that I will start with on Monday!

Great workshop! Extremely useful for total beginners like me to start figuring how JS works. The journey has been super fun despite some major understanding challenges, and it certainly provided me with a nice foundation to keep exploring and building up knowledge.

This course is so much fun! I, unfortunately, took long breaks in between but I would recommend doing the assignments/projects as close to each other as possible and avoiding extensions. However, life happens, and just make sure to take good notes so when you go back to it you are not completely lost.
I loved the SheCodes workshops! I have learned so much and it has honestly been such a fun experience. I feel confident in the skills I've learned and have found a new joy in coding and creating applications/websites.

SheCodes taught me that you can learn a new skill at any age and in any life stage. i thought i was meant to only thrive in a public health setting, as i'm currently pursuing a master's in public health. however, after working though matt's accessible & fun workshops, i was reminded how awesome it was to not only learn but also start to really *get* a new skill very intuitively. ty matt i love SheCodes basics :)
One of the reasons I like this workshop is that it’s flexible with my schedule and takes a short amount of time to complete. This workshop allows participants to familiarize themselves with coding and comprehend the benefits that it may provide in a variety of professions. This fundamental workshop is well-organized and simple to follow through. It enables us to learn how to code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. However, using the skills we learned in this workshop, we were able to construct, design, and edit our own websites.
It was really fun completing this workshop! I learned a lot and feel like I can now start building my own projects and practice all that I learned. The API integration part is my favorite as well as the styling part when it comes to building the apps. This workshop opened a whole new world to me in that regard. I am super happy with SheCodes!
I had forgotten how fun coding was! I had programming course in high school, I even thought I could study that in university, but in the end I chose a different path. Now I am at crossroads. I still do not know what I will do or should I invest more time and effort into coding, but I am really glad I took this course because it is never too late to learn something new.
The SheCodes Plus workshop has taught me so much about coding in a short amount of time. The structure of the workshop made learning easy, interesting and enjoyable! I had a lot of fun coding a weather app from scratch using easily digestible, step-by-step videos. I can't wait to start my next project in SheCodes React.

This workshop gave me the basic knowledge and skills to get into web design. The way the course is taught along with the weekly challenges makes it easy to grasp the concepts and fun to learn how to code! When I started SheCodes Plus I was about to start a new job at a large company as a UX designer where I would be working with developers on the designs I made for mobile apps and websites. I wanted to be able to speak their language by learning how to code. SheCodes Plus really helped me transition into my new role, even just by teaching me terminology like "Calling an API" (and knowing how to do it in Javascript!) or being able to read code when I would inspect a page on our company site for things I needed to reference. It gave me a lot more confidence in my skills - especially with being the "new girl" on the team. SheCodes Plus really focuses on Javascript which I found to be the trickiest of the three coding languages (HTML, CSS, and Javascript - I'm very comfortable with CSS now lol). Overtime I started to get the hang of it especially when we got to the Vanilla Javascript stuff. I love how Matt teaches and everything is so well structured its easy to follow along. The community is great, too, because they are so fast to get back to you when you have an issue and help you get through it (This is super handy for Javascript btw!). I cannot wait to jump into Responsive! I wasn't sure if I was going to do the React course at first, but Matt kept saying that things get a lot more straightforward when we get to React, so I will now be doing that one, too, and finish off all the courses! Thanks so much for all you do Matt, team, and SheCodes! This is a fun course!

SheCodes has been one of the best things I started in years. The video's are amazing, the community is great and it's a very easy and good start te learn how to code. and don't forget: it's so much fun! I think Matt and his team has found a great way of making coding fun and I celebrate the fact that they target women. And they do it realy well, with Cat's coding, lots of emoji's and even jokes. I highly recomend SheCodes to learn how to code, to get a new skill and to have fun!
SheCodes Plus is an amazing course to expand on what you learn in the Basics course - and it's so much fun! Javascript can be confusing at times but Matt is an excellent teacher and explains it so well at every step. I really enjoyed learning how to integrate real data into a working weather app and I'm looking forward to learning even more with SheCodes!
Appreciated that we could join a free introductory session which gave a summary of the workshops provided by SheCodes. Highly recommend others to join SheCodes as I loved that the workshop allowed me to complete my work anytime within that allocated week. Low stress with fun exercises!

Learning to code is really fun, especially when you are tutored by someone as amazing as Matt. The information that you learned in each video is very brief but when in the end of the workshop, you will be definitely surprised by what you have learned!
