The SheCodes Basics workshop has been such a wonderful experience! It's truly a great option for anyone who's interested in entering the world of coding but doesn't know where to start. This experience has been nothing short of transformative, and the knowledge I’ve gained is invaluable. Under the guidance of our head instructor (Matt Delac), I’ve mastered the art of making my code responsive to any screen size, ensuring that my projects are accessible and user-friendly across all devices. The ability to create a unique online portfolio has opened up new opportunities for showcasing my work in a professional manner. Building multi-page websites seemed daunting at first, but with the skills I’ve learned, such as advanced Bootstrap features, Flexbox, and media queries, I now approach these projects with confidence and creativity. Moreover, learning how to host these websites on GitHub has equipped me with the tools to share my work with the world.
The SheCodes basic course has given me a jump-start to my coding journey. I am excited to learn more, and to ultimately become a coding professional!

the more we practice java script, the more we understand it and I love all the challenges that help us improve with it.
A good build-up from the basic course. You learn a bit more in-depth from what was learned in the basic course, and a bit more about grid and the spacings within. I learned something new about fractional units which I didn't know about before. Matt, as usual, explained very well with examples so it's easier to figure out.
I must say, SheCodes have changed my life. Never thought I would be able to code a full website. I am very excited to keep going and learn more and more. I would recommend to anyone. Matt's way to explain is very clear and straight to the point. Would not change anything. Cant wait to improve my skills with Phyton now.

Taking the 'Introduction to Coding' course was really fun! I was surprised at how easy it was to follow, even though I didn't know anything about coding before. The way they taught each lesson made it interesting and easy to understand. By the end of the course, I felt like I knew a lot more about coding and was excited to learn more. Whether you're a beginner or just want to get started with coding, I definitely recommend this course. It's a great way to dive into coding!

It is easy to feel overwhelmed at first but going about the project in baby steps was really helpful. Everyone is super supportive and as long as you do not give up you will understand the concepts.

Where lies my heart you might ask? That's simple: growth. Every time I look back, I would like to see a difference. The skills I acquired yesterday must have increased by the next month or two or at least improved. I am not afraid of challenges and neither am I afraid of not knowing. The eagerness to learn stems from the confidence of being able to say out loud "I don't know." So, I don't know what I don't know but I would like to know that which I don't know... Something that echoes in my mind a lot said by @Zakhele Mofolo in one of the conversations we have had is : " It's easy to apply for certificates, but getting yourself to finish them is another task on it's own." With these words embedded in my mind, I refuse to start a race and not finish it. I would rather come out last knowing I finished what I started. I refuse to be a quitter because quitting is easy. I want to keep going because an obstacle passed is always an inspirational and motivational story to the next person. Comparing now to then, I have learnt a lot and I could not be more grateful to be seen as one of the SheCodes students. SheCodes definitely shaped me in becoming, presently I can confidently say I am a front-end developer. The road from here continues because learning never ceases. If you keep going, what do you have to lose?

The course is fantastic and packed with valuable information—I've gained so much knowledge! I appreciated the abundance of resources and challenges set beyond the core lessons. Huge shut out to the Slack community who were super helpful when I had questions or needed assistance, and everyone was incredibly supportive and kind. It truly feels like a warm, welcoming community!

I had joined the She Codes workshop earlier this year and it has been a total eye-opener. The experience has been inspiring in the sense that i was able to learn and challenge myself and what i thought were my limitations. Despite my initial apprehensions, what started of as curiosity and an attempt to get out my comfort zone ,is proving to be a journey of personal growth and purpose. There were times i felt intimidated and way over my head ,but because of the way the lessons were structured i was able to understand , whilst having zero prior experience or knowledge in coding. Matt and his team's supportive approach and the warm atmosphere they created made it easier for me to engage and participate. Because the workshop is self-paced, i felt less pressured by time, the Slack app was a great platform to engage with other students so i didn't feel alone , even the She Codes Athena AI was a great tool for me and other introverts alike. It is truly all-inclusive. For that i would like to show my gratitude to Matt Delac and the She Codes family for allowing me the opportunity learn and grow ,She Codes has become my start, the foundation in my journey and its' a great way to start truly, I recommend She Codes ,more especially if you are like me, unsure of most things in life, self-doubting but curious and driven. You get more than just learning how to code, you get a feel of support .
I would highly recommend this course as it offers a lot of additional information on top of the Bascis Workshop! Matt is such a great teacher. His explanations are clear and simple and he makes the learning journey fun and interesting.
The SheCodes responsive course was an exciting adventure. Building the projects definitely had its tough moments, it got frustrating sometimes. But seeing them come together in the end was so rewarding. Seeing my projects turn out just right was a proud moment for me.

I was terrified about coding and thought this course would be too hard for me to learn and complete, but all the useful information, links, videos, challenge, solutions e.c.t. are amazing and really made me feel at ease and enjoy my first coding experience!
Really enjoyed learning Python! Very different to the other languages Matt teaches, so great to learn something different.
This was a nice workshop to further understand how to make a site responsive. I also enjoyed learning how to create grids through CSS.
I've learnt so much, I'm eager to keep learning more! These lessons have been invaluable in expanding my knowledge, and I'm excited to continue this journey!
Another fun and challenging project! Matt explains React well, and gives you enough practice using it so you feel like the learning really stuck. It was fun as well to combine two different API's in one project

It is the best learning platform, I've learned a lot of coding techniques and different software that I can use. the lessons are thorough and direct.
Embarking on the Plus program was no small feat for me. I'll admit, I struggled, and at times, felt like I was falling behind. With deadlines looming, I found myself six weeks behind schedule. Yet, despite the challenges, I persisted. Today, as I look back on this journey, I'm filled with pride. Completing the Plus program wasn't just about meeting deadlines; it was about pushing past my limits, overcoming obstacles, and proving to myself that I could achieve what seemed daunting.

It has been an amazing journey for me,i have owned a laptop for over a year and would only open it to watch movies but now i can confidently create a website that i used to think is the most difficult and could only be developed by people who are good at Maths

Learning React was much harder than everything else I learned in these workshops. The lessons were very structured and straightforward. I did need to go back and watch the videos twice just to make sure I was doing it right, but overall, a huge stepping stone into front-end development.
It was superrrrrrrrrr FUN! 😊 I am very happy that I chose shecodes to learn coding. I loved the experience & cannot wait to learn more.

Working with an AI was really fun and I can think of endless possibilities. The way the course was structured and its ready-to-use resources such as the very API that we used, helped me a lot. I didn't lose any time trying to find a good AI, instead I focused on my code.
I am so happy that I have finally been able to learn how to get data from APIs using Ajax. The Plus coding class has been amazing although it got to a point where I became stuck, I kept on pushing and finally, I overcame it. Thankyou SheCodes. Thank you Matt Delac.
