Investing in myself by taking my first-ever coding class with the SheCodes Online Workshop is one of the best investments I have ever made this year during the COVID-19 pandemic. With SheCodes, I found myself highly motivated and curious to learn more from start to finish and beyond! I have never imagined that one day I would be able to create my own project from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in less than 3 weeks. Now I can't wait to continue exploring more deeply into the world of programming in the advanced workshops. These 3 weeks have been wonderful! I was looking for courses to really get me started on my coding journey and the 3 week Bootcamp was perfect! I'm so glad I started with SheCodes.io and now I'm ready to continue my journey to becoming a Full-Time Programmer!
I tried the 3 week coding workshop. SheCodes was super comprehensive, fun, and interactive. I loved being able to get help from other students and looking back at videos for assistance. Definitely interested in continuing to code after this lesson!
This course helped me to have a deeper understanding of coding and wanting to discover and learn more about it!
I particularly appreciated the hands-on of the course that allows you to learn by trying out and finding your own solutions while also providing support in case you’re stuck. I strongly recommend it to complete beginners interested in learning the basics of coding. I now look forward to continuing the more advanced course to finally turn my MA thesis into an interactive website that will make history more accessible and fun to the public.
If you are like me and thought coding was a language too difficult to learn, then I would highly recommend you start with this workshop.
I really enjoyed the course (SheCodes Workshop) and it made me want to pursue coding as a hobby. I think it's a very good place to start if you have 0 coding skills. It creates a very good basis on which to build future skills. The other advantage is that you can easily determine through this course if coding is something you enjoy and want to pursue or if it's something that is not for you. Even if you come to the conclusion that the course is not for you, the skills and knowledge you will have gained will not have been for nothing. The world is very quickly becoming one, where a basic knowledge of coding is essential.
This a good way to start delving into the coding world! Recommended for absolute beginners!
SheCodes Plus is a very fun and easy way of learning. This course really helped me to understand JavaScript better. And when you need some help there is always someone who can help you on your way through Slack.

I already had some knowledge of code that came from college, but always with many doubts, with SheCodes I was able to better understand how and what certain features are for. For me the most challenging was the Java script because it was where I felt the most difficulties in the code. Matt explains everything very well and very simply. Thanks SheCodes

I came into the 3-week online workshop not knowing anything about code. However, the lessons were clear and not hard to follow. I love how I was able to work on each lesson at my own pace. Matt is a good instructor and he shows each step visually, which I found very helpful! This workshop has shown me how fun coding can be! I recommend this workshop for those who have little to no experience in coding, you'll learn so much!
SheCodes Intro Workshop has been so incredibly informative. It's a great place to start if you're looking to get into code or even curious if code is for you. I highly recommend starting here. I tried the self-taught route but I definitely needed guidance in where to start and which direction to go after starting. I'm so grateful SheCodes came along. I've already introduced some friends whose current careers have nothing to do with programming and they have also decided to try this workshop.
When I first started the workshop I didn't know anything about coding and right now I feel that I took the right choice in invest in the course! I'am very happy and excited to know more in SheCodes Plus!!

SheCodes is such an inspiring workshop. In just two weeks you will be able to create your own "free-style coding" and the evolution since day 1 is WOW! I'm so proud of what I've done. Everyday the society demands ever-growing necessity of these skills that everyone should learn and know them, even if just a little.
I can highly recommend this workshop. Within 40 days I coded a website and now finally a weather app. For me SheCodes.io is not only a career change but a life change. Originally coming from traditional crafts, I am now going to work in digital crafts. I've taken a front end web development course several years ago and haven't had much time to practice after graduating. Coding is really like learning a new language: if you don't use it, you'll lose it. Shecodes offered me the perfect refresher on HTML, CSS and JS. I did feel the material was very high level and went a little too fast, but the videos were short and digestible to keep you focused and interested.

I really liked this workshop. It reinforced concepts I'd learned during my time as an undergraduate as a Computer Science major. I never gotten the chance to be formally taught JavaScript, so it was nice that this course introduced it. I want to become a front-end developer and I believe this online workshop will give me the knowledge I need to be able to get a job I plan on continuing on to SheCodes Plus React
I definitely recommend learning with SheCodes. After losing my job due to Covid19, I took the beginner course to initially decide if it was for me or not, as well as to enhance my IT skills. The lessons are very user-friendly and it's great that you can progress at your own pace, with sensible and achievable deadlines to work towards. I was wrong to assume that coding would be boring and impossible, I've found it really engaging and actually good fun. I plan to continue with SheCodes!
This workshop is a very good introduction to the basics of coding: Matt teaches not only syntax but also the logic behind it. I would definitely recommand it to all women who are too impressed by traditional coding bootcamps. It's also a good alternative to usual tutorials by combining theory and practical exercices: ideal to learn at your own rythm and follow your own coding pathway. Very smart concept! After completing the first SheCodes workshop, I'm happy I joined SheCodes Plus! In SheCodes Plus, there's a great transition from the material in the first workshop. You never feel like you've missed anything. The pace of the course works well with the content. The material is challenging, but you can grow so much. It was really satisfying to be finished my project, and I feel more confident in my skills. As always, the lovely helpers on Slack are always there if you need clarification. Definitely recommend!

I had always seen coding as something that was too late to start at this point in my life. With SheCodes, I now understand that is not true! SheCodes allows you to build on your dedication and hard work to achieve the basics and anything else you might want. SheCodes is the place to start for those who have been putting off learning to code. I feel confident that I know have the tools to better understand the resources available in the coding community.
I was debating doing the workshop at first. I didn't know anything about coding. Now I feel very proud of what I can do and can't wait to expand my skills further. 10/10 would recommend!
Matt's style of teaching is so easy to follow, and the short videos combined with mini challenges made it super easy to learn how to code a basic landing page. I was unsure if coding was something I could understand or do, and after this course I know that I can do even more!
This was a great class for beginners like myself! The videos were easy to follow and the challenges, homeworks, and project really allowed me to be hands on and implement what I learned. It was great to have the ability to go back and reference the videos if I got stuck. I did find that the course took more than 15 hours as stated in the course description (at least for myself - a beginner who was taking lots of notes along the way, viewing videos more than once if I got stuck, etc.). This workshop taught me the very basic fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and has set me off to further explore the world of coding and learn more skills! Also, I can't say enough good things about the SheCodes team and the Slack channel that comes along with this workshop - the team was always super quick to respond to any questions I had about the course and the Slack channel provided great support!
I became aware of SheCodes through Instagram and was at first unsure whether it would work. Then I took part in the Free Coding Class and that convinced me. Now I really enjoy coding and I have already learned a lot. When I have more time I will also attend the SheCodes Plus course.🤗👩🏼💻
I am feeling stuck in my career as an Event Planner. SheCodes found me on Instagram so I decided to check it out. Thanks to Matt and his teaching techniques, I was surprised at how quickly I caught on. I didn't just learn more about coding, but also how to be patient, try harder and don't give up when somethings doesn't work as you have expected, which happens a lot in coding. Matt is a good teacher, he explained the lessons in a very clear way as usual.

I took the 3 week course as a very easy introduction to coding. Matt explained things very well and the videos helped me understand things. I wish there were more videos so I can learn more things! The challenge at the end of the three week course was appropriate.
This was a great starting point to get my footing with VSCode and the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I feel ready for my Bootcamp coming up in a few weeks now.
I was really happy with my final project and getting the chance to learn something new. The lessons really helped me to break down the process and understand how to build a functional app.
I thoroughly enjoyed the three week workshop and I have told so many of my friends about my experience in hopes of getting them interested too. I had no coding experience before this and I work in a totally different field than web development. The material wasn't hard to understand and I think that in the near future I would really like to advance my skills further!

I cannot believe I built for the first time my own land page! I went from zero knowledge on programming to coding with three different languages. The course was great and I can't wait to start the advanced course!

My SheCodes experiences was amazing! The workshop was super easy and user friendly. Coding can be intimidating, but Matt explains each lesson clearly and the challenges are easy to do. If you're stuck with a challenge, someone from the SheCodes team is always willing to help. Before SheCodes my experience with coding was only through Myspace and Tumblr. This workshop is a great foundation if you're curious about coding and would like to learn coding. Thank you Matt for creating this workshop for women. There were times I was frustrated and a little frightened because of the unknown, but those are the moments when I believe I learned the most. I believe it is true that anyone can learn to code. You have to be patient and not give up. You have to keep at it, keep trying, ask for help when you need it. Coding teaches you how to be a problem solver and that can be the most rewarding part. I have recommended this class to others. I love that it is a learning platform just for women. Thank you, Matt, for your contribution to closing the gender gap between men and women in coding. Please keep up the great work! I look forward to next week when I start the SheCodes Plus workshop

Most lessons have easy-to-follow instructions, but there are times you have to search for the answer on your own. That can be frustrating, but it is extremely gratifying when you finally figure it out!
I truly enjoyed taking this class. What I appreciated most was the pace. I didn't feel rushed and as each week progressed, I felt even more comfortable. I enjoyed doing the final project. This class is a great first step in becoming a web developer. I look forward to the next workshop.
Coding was something completely new to me, but the SheCodes Workshop has been an incredible journey! SheCodes helps you by introducing you to the world of programming, with its weekly classes it is very easy to follow and to understand. Coding does take a lot of dedication and perseverance, with SheCodes and its community it becomes easier when feeling stuck at some point, there is always someone to support you along the way. I took the first step and now feel more confident about continuing my path in the hopes of being a developer with high standards and a strong knowledge base.

Being a hands on learner, it helped to go by step by step with Matt as he was explaining things. Repetition is key!! Definitely was challenging at times and frustration can be part of growing process but in a healthy way. Once you begin to get the hang of it, the learning process becomes easier. You'll feel accomplished! I was super pleased with the end result!

I loved it! The challenges were fun (and so frustrating sometimes) and I feel like I learned a lot. I'm a teenager and had final exams at school throughout most of the course so I maybe didn't get as much out of it as I could've, but it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it to basically anyone.
I must say that the last few weeks were very interesting and full of new discoveries. Who would have thought coding was so much fun and at the same time also frustrating. Especially when your own knowledge on the subject is lacking or you just need to find a solution to a problem that seams giant at first but then is just a typo (mostly). I am so happy I took the time this year to learn a new skill and try out coding back in April with SheCodes Workshop and continued with SheCodes Plus. I can not wait to see what coding future I can discover and learn some more about programming. Hi everyone from SheCodes workshop, I would like to thank you for challenging months. I realy liked to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript and worked on challenges. Learning how to work with API, Github or hosting was very very useful. I highly recomended this course becouse coding is fun, you can improve your skills and find good job. :)
I have had so much fun learning to code. Although I have definitely found some of the modules hard, I have really enjoyed figuring out how to do it and solving problems. As someone with (what I thought was) good computer knowledge, SheCodes has opened my eyes to so much more. As a student ready to start University, I have experienced some of what my degree may offer me. It has also became a hobby I wish to partake in as much as possible and expand my computer science knowledge further. I've always wanted to learn more about coding and in the past few weeks, I've been able to learn and practice a lot of information. The weekly workshops are informative and well-thought-out and the challenges make you exercise what you've learned. The weekly homework grew off of each other each week to make the final project more manageable. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who's been curious about coding!
Since I was a total beginner this basic course was perfect for me since the lessons were exactly my level. I have tried other tutorials before but ended up not finishing most of them because I would not understand the basics and was not knowing what I was doing. I can`t wait to start SheCodes Plus!
I subscribed to learn a new skill: coding. SheCodes had a way of doing this fast, easy and with a lot of help. The movies are short so you can start working from the beginning. I loved the pace, what we learned and my new hobby. Thank you!

I fully enjoyed SheCodes. Every lesson I felt challenged and eager to learn more. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get a good solid foundation into coding. Matt explains every perfectly and encourages you to try more. Before SheCodes, I had no idea how easy HTML, CSS and JavaScript could be to understand. I had this idea that only a genius could build websites, format pages or even just read the languages. I have high hopes for my coding future after SheCodes, I now have a new desire to keep going in my coding career! What's next? Maybe Python or Ruby.. who knows. All I know is that I owe my foundation to SheCodes!
Having neatly zero knowledge of programming language before march 2020, in a couple of weeks through SheCodes and SheCodes Plus courses I managed to start taking my baby steps on the programming world. SheCodes Plus is a huge step forward, compared to SheCodes introduction. I would highly recommend taking this next level to get more confident and comfortable with CSS and HTML, but mostly to develop your JavaScript Skills. On SheCodes plus, not only you learn the tolls, skills and resources to be more independent in coding. You also learn how to use GitHub, host your projects online and, more importantly understand how these tools can also help you boost your CV and showcase your projects to potential employers! I cannot describe how helpful and how much did I learned during these last 8 weeks. It was extraordinary and allowed me to feel so much more empowered. Now, I can't wait to proceed with React! Again, I find Matt a really good tutor and the supporting Slack Team extraordinary. They have been an undeniable asset on this journey.
