This intro to coding class has been fun and challenging for a beginner like me! The videos are great with providing visual demonstration and thorough explanations from Matt. The Slack community has also been super helpful and provides feedback in a very timely manner! I look forward to continuing my coding journey!
I previously worked as a Digital Advertising Specialist for a media company in Washington DC. This is where I was first introduced to the coding world. I have advanced experience in HTML & CSS but, I knew I had only dipped my toes in the water. This was the moment I knew I wanted to pursue a career in programming (web developer/web design/frontend developer). I can say that the SheCodes Beginner Workshop taught me a lot. I now have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS & JavaScript. I’m excited to further my knowledge by taking the SheCodes Plus & React courses. I highly recommend these courses to anyone who would like to explore coding. You, truly, don't need any experience! You only need a little bit of dedication & hard work 😊
I would highly recommend anyone to embark on the amazing journey of learning how to code with SheCodes. Matt is a talented instructor whose guidance and explanations are always on point, especially for absolute beginners. The classes and the workload expected are very well distributed over the three weeks, and this makes it easy to follow and be motivated to complete the workshop. I've particularly enjoyed the regular challenges, which were a great way to test my knowledge and progress over time. I genuinely cannot wait to keep learning with more advanced workshops!

A really good workshop for people who want to lear the basis of code. I never thought that I would have so much fun during this course 😄 Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning how to code and I can't wait so see what comes next!

SheCodes has been an amazing journey. I recommend SheCodes to everyone interested in coding but too scared to start. The course is designed for total beginners although it gets more complex as you make more lessons and challenges which makes it an exciting experience while learning.
Totally love being able to build something from scratch, and working with SheCodes was a blessing. Super easy and user friendly for all.

The beginner workshop has been extremely interesting! I had little knowledge of HTML and CSS and I was almost a complete newbie about JavaScript. Matt's lessons are clear, he is very talented at explaining new concepts and he focuses on the important information. It is incredible how easy it has been to code a full web page after only three weeks. I can't wait to start the Plus React workshop! 👩🎓💪💻

I started with absolutely zero coding experience and was unsure if computer programming was for me. SheCodes broke down the basics of coding in a way that helped me realize it is digestible and can be as creative as it is technical. I greatly enjoyed the SheCodes Plus workshop! The format of the course made it easy to follow along with, and it felt rewarding to progress through the modules sequentially. I was challenging at times, but not overwhelming. The course really helped me improve upon and refine my prior coding knowledge, and by the end I was very pleased with my final project. A++!
SheCodes was a great way for me to get my feet! It's flexible and definitely covers the basics of front end code. Anyone that has started learning to code but needs structure should go for it!

I really enjoyed the coding workshop. The contents of the different lessons were easy to follow and the challenge after each lesson is a good mechanism to repeat the things just learned. I got really excited about coding and I will try to learn more in the future. Matt's workshop made me confident that I can do it.

I loved SheCodes, and the whole journey from the beginner workshop to the final React workshop. It was challenging but broken down into manageable pieces, and the support available from the SheCodes team was so valuable.
Starting my journey in coding with the help of SheCodes was an amazing decision. Through this 3-week workshop, and even though it was held online, I felt very supported and that everything was extremely well organized. After the 3 weeks workshop I got really excited about coding, and wanted to learn more. Matt has really shown me his passion that inspired me to go ahead with the studies, but also shown me his patience and made me realize that enrolling to SheCodes projects was just what I needed to learn. Plus is an amazing opportunity for those who like me don't really have previous knowledge, and think is quite magical to built an app! I have tried to learn HTML, CSS and Javascript on my own but I struggled. This course has been easy to follow and provided enough depth and structure that I finally got a better understanding. I am now more comfortable in reading the codes within a webpage.

I really enjoyed learning with SheCodes. It gave me the confidence to apply for a Masters in Software Development, which I'm currently undertaking and I'll graduate in Sept 2021. This is a total change of career for me, so I can honestly say completing SheCodes changed my life.

This was challenging but I learnt a lot. It was a big step up from the initial three weeks but now I'm completely hooked and want to continue learning to code. Clearly I have so much to learn!
This has been an incredible journey. I joined this course with a basic understanding of coding and within 6 weeks I am able to showcase a functioning weather application. With the help of SheCodes, I was able to gain hands-on-experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GitHub, Netlify, and a host of other coding resources that made this project possible. Though this course was nothing short of challenging, I find that at the end of it all these skills will be invaluable in my career development and next level choices. What an excellent accomplishment to begin 2021.

Being curious about the world of coding, I enrolled in the introductory course by SheCodes. The fun challenge led me to realize the intricate development of the 'web' as we know it and forced my mind to engage with technology in new ways as I developed skills.
My SheCodes experience so far has been fantastic. It's the perfect mix of challenging, interesting and very well structured. Before SheCodes, I had tried to self teach myself Python several times, however I could never progress very far and I think the main reason is because I didn't have access to a community that supported one another nor a structured lesson plan to learn the concepts thoroughly. The SheCodes experience is well worth all the hard work and you're bound to find something you like about it. 100% recommend this program!

This is one of the best courses I've ever had. Getting into React already knowing JS, HTML and CSS was so much fun and a lot easier than I expected. SheCodes methodology is very efficient and smart. Being able to look at code and understand it is something I never thought I would be doing in my life. Can't wait to learn more out in the world!

SheCodes has been a great experience! I just completed the Workshop and am very excited to continue on in the Plus curriculum. I had very little experience in HTML and no experience in CSS or JavaScript when I registered for SheCodes, and now I feel confident in all three! Also, having a platform made up of all women has been super supportive & encouraging especially with tech being a male-dominant industry. If you're looking for a career change, or just want to learn more about coding, there's a workshop for all learners!

I've enjoyed every second. Easy to follow course outline and easily digestible. Would definitely recommend. I most enjoyed the challenges at the end of each week and found that they really helped to cement the knowledge into your brain. I now have a new found interest in coding and am excited to see where I can take it from here. :)

I love SheCodes! I decided to take the SheCodes workshops during Quarantine, and it has been a great way to grow my knowledge of coding and have something productive to do with all of my extra free time indoors. I would HIGHLY recommend these workshops to anyone who has wanted to learn more about coding, the videos are easy to follow, and the homework and projects are easy to complete. No deadline will make you feel overwhelmed, and the Slack communities they have created are all welcoming. All of the women in the slack communities want you to succeed. It's a great place to see women empowering other women! And coming out of the other side of the Plus workshop with an app you built by yourself is one of the BEST feelings! 10/10, 10000000 ⭐️.

It has been a great learning experience! Coding can be intimidating, but with SheCodes it was much easier to understand. It's fun to learn, Matt is a great, attentive instructor and the technical team (and the community, too) is always there to lend a hand. They have answers to all of your questions!

I never thought I would ever take a coding course, but I am extremely glad that I did, especially one from SheCodes. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed by the idea of learning how to code. However, Matt’s unique way of teaching this male-dominated field took that feeling away immediately. His course is well-organised and the topics are explained thoroughly. I was able to absorb the basics of coding (HTML/CSS and JavaScript) in such a short period of time, and the workshop also paved a new path for me. This course was so much fun! Matt does a fantastic job of explaining everything in each lesson. I love that sometimes there are things in the challenge that he didn't discuss, so that I can explore websites that will fill in any blanks.
As a UX Designer, having a basic understanding of HTML/CSS and javascript can make the hand-off of designs from designer to developer much smoother when we can speak the same language. This course has helped me understand how a developer might break down my designs and translate it into code as well as the functions of each element in the code.
Having no background in coding and found SheCodes to be easy to follow along with. I just completed the 3 week course, and I would recommend this to anyone interested in testing the waters.
I'm an artist and graphic designer. While looking into extra credit courses available to add to my diploma, I came across SheCodes. I have always wondered if coding was something I would be good at or enjoy. I'm proud to say I now have experience in coding. I, myself, created an online webpage using the coding skills and techniques I learned through SheCodes. As a graphic designer, I now have more insight into how visual and physical design interact and create webpages, websites, and more. Having this background knowledge adds to my value as a graphic designer and artist.

One of the best online coding courses there is. Everything was nicely explained and even though some things were a bit difficult for someone who did not done something like this before, it was a nice challenge which was doable.
SheCodes Plus course was challenging, but I learn a lot in a short time and had fun while doing that. The course is well structured and provides a good foundation for understanding how to code. I believe this is a big step in my transition to a career as a developer.

SheCodes is amazing! I have always been hesitant to learn how to code, but this program makes it a lot easier. I never had to worry about struggling to find a solution, because there are plenty of instructions and resources provided. Everyone is also super nice, and there is always somebody available to answer your questions. Now, I am finally confident to say that I both understand and enjoy coding.
I'm having lots of fun remembering and learning to code. The lessons are super clear but with lots of information each to improve very fast you knowledge on coding. Literally your imagination is the limit! Can't wait for the Plus Workshop next week. :)
I signed up for the 3 month workshop but I've loved it so far, the three week one has been really fullfilling, I've learned a lot and I found the methods easy to follow, it's pretty easy to understand Matt and I really love the page interface. I'm looking forward to continue.
It is a great start for someone who doesn't have any coding experience :) The only thing that I would love to be added - extra resources, materials and recommendations to read for each of the topics. There is so much information available online, that it is hard to find something easy-to-understand and yet practical. Looking forward to the next level!
I was looking for a new skillset to add to my arsenal and somehow coding just fell on my lap. I started to search for courses online and found the programs quite confusing until I came across this workshop. I love the simple approach and the breakdown of the lessons. The structure makes it very easy to follow and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone who is looking for an easy-to-follow online program.

I never believed that I could ever understand coding in life. But Matt has an incredible talent to turn things simple and easy. The course could have more content in the third week since the project does not take much time. But in general, I recommend the workshop to anyone who, like myself, wishes to have a basic notion of coding.
