I quit my job where I was miserable to focus on coding full-time. I wanted to follow my knack for User Experience and learn how to code so I could gain knowledge around building solutions for my ideas and build a career. SheCodes is an excellent program. I really enjoyed this course. Matt is a great instructor and the challenges were fun and engaging. This is a great introductory course to coding. Even if you're not able to afford to take the advanced classes, I feel like the beginner one still gives you enough tools to learn the basics and continue learning on your own, if you want. The team is very helpful and responsive to any questions you may have, and its fun to be a part of the slack group with other women, from all over the world also taking the class! I had a lot of fun working on my final project, and I am satisfied with how it turned out. I'm excited to continue to learn coding, and hopefully put my skills to use eventually!

React was challenging but quick to learn and fun to put to use! After learning the advanced coding techniques from SheCodes Plus, I was really able to see how the pieces fit and how to use them with React. I even found myself able to code ahead of the lessons in some stages because it just made so much sense! Can't wait to put all of my skills to use in creating my own portfolio in Responsive!

SheCodes basic course: quick to join and easy to follow. Matt is unfolding code logic and its rules in reasonable pace and his explanations are more than clear. Course presents lots of tools and inspiration sources to help you start with simple website coding. Homework tasks allow to try out freshly learnt skills and get "hungry for more". It was fun to sieve internet for additional HTML and CSS tricks by myself - if you have a good base, you can develop further on your own.
This workshop was a surprise for me because I didn't know anything about coding. It's my first time developing a website and already looks pretty good. The method used by SheCodes is very objective and easy to understand. I highly recommend this workshop for every girl who wants to work with coding.

This was a fantastic course. Matt does a good job explaining things and the methodology of learning a little bit and then performing a challenge works very well for me. I'd love to see some trainings performed by women as well, but that's a small gripe. The quality of the basics course was great.

Not knowing anything about coding I was curious and a bit apprehensive to get started on this workshop. However once I did I found the lessons were easy to follow and pretty fun. Although it was sometimes frustrating figuring out some of the challenges, I was introduced to many new resources to help make my code more user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. I am glad that I finally took the first step and signed up to learn coding basics at SheCodes.
Taking this course was an interesting and challenging experience. It was a lot of fun to see how front end web development really works and give it a go. I am truly thankful for the opportunity and excited to keep improving on the next workshops!
SheCodes is very in-depth and thorough! I felt I have learned in a short amount of time. The course is challenging, but not to the point where it's too overwhelming. You have student and staff support each step of the way.
SheCodes Basics was a great introductory course for me since I was always interested in coding but had no idea what it would be like. This course was very easy to fit in to my busy work schedule and I just wish the basics program had more content because I was left wanting more. I am a lab technician working specifically in lab operations and will use what I learn when working with developers for sites that my group uses. I most likely will upgrade to the Plus Reacts or the Pro workshop next.

Having worked as a Visual Merchandiser for almost 18 years, retraining was daunting but SheCodes was the perfect place to start. The clear presentation and explanation videos combined with manageable challenges and reasonable deadlines were perfect for someone completely new to the field. Bring on the next challenge!
The work was easy to follow with no problem, and I like that if you miss something you can rewind until you understand. It was really fun creating something from nothing.

All along with learning key new skills in API, search engines, etc. I am glad I had the opportunity to participate and complete this course as I am a mom, full time WFH, and wife! In my opinion, SheCodes Basics provides the best and smoothest entry into the world of coding, and I am glad that people like me, who are naturally terrified of technologies, can still learn coding and find out that it is actually a fun and very rewarding activity!

After trying several free and nearly free resources online, I realized that I needed a bare minimum of accountability and structure to continue my own coding journey during an especially busy time in my life. SheCodes provides exactly that, as well as a community and instructors to lean on if necessary. I've found the course materials more professional, better organized, and better harmonized to the assignments than for any other course I have tried to date. Even on occasions when I'd already been introduced to material elsewhere, Matt added practical, up-to-date tips that further enhanced my knowledge. If you're struggling to stay motivated like I was, try a SheCodes course! It's well worth the investment.
When I think back on where I started (close to zero knowledge on coding), I can't believe how much I have learned. React is really fun and I highly recommend doing SheCodes Plus React if you can!

I started out with little knowledge of HTML and an aspiration to learn more about HTML, CSS, & JavaScript. Can safely say that in the last month I've successfully learnt and retained more code than I ever thought I would! I've loved every minute of the SheCodes 'Intro to Coding' course, the layout of the workshops are fantastic, with bite-sized lessons that Matt explains very clearly. You're putting into practice what you've learnt every step of the way, so you're really getting a good understanding of what the main elements are and how the coding languages work together. Would highly recommend!

Having some experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript this was a fantastic refresher - well structured and easy to follow and I still learnt something new! I wanted to learn basic coding for a while so I was glad to find out there were high-quality workshops available at an affordable price.
I'm so happy I signed up for SheCodes Basic Workshop! It has been a valuable and very enjoyable experience and I'm looking forward to my next one already! I bought into the myth that programming is just for mathematically-inclined folks. SheCodes quickly debunked that myth. Now that I understand what code can do, I spend a lot of time dreaming up all sorts of ideas that can be created with React.

It was an easy introductory course to learn from scratch how to interact with HTML, CSS and Javascript. Concepts are clear and you can organize your time in order to repeat the lessons as many times as needed.
SheCodes workshop has been so fun to complete! Everything is broken down to make it easily understandable event without prior experience in coding. It's been an empowering experience and I can't wait to expend my new coding skills!
