Before the SheCodes Basic Workshop, I had never done anything remotely related to coding. I was really surprised how easily I could absorb the complex information from the short video lectures. The content was so well-structured and coherent, and I enjoyed doing the short assignments a lot. Also, the support system on Slack was super helpful whenever I got stuck! Would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested!
It's been so much fun to build on the skills I learned in SheCodes Basics. I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone wanting to learn how to code.
I have truely enjoyed this course even though it has been extremely challenging at some points during a few weeks. I was stuck and could not find a way out. Luckily I got support from the SheCodes team and found my way back. Since the course is challenging the satisfaction of building my own weather app and succesfully completing it is high! I would recommend this to anyone: challenge yourself and learn how to code.

Before starting this workshop, building a React application seemed very daunting to me. With great examples and explanations from Matt, even this advanced workshop was made fairly easy to understand and execute. It is challenging at times but I was determined. From having no coding experience a couple of months ago to now having completed this React workshop, I now have more knowledge and experience in coding than I could have ever imagined having in this short amount of time. I have the confidence now to keep building my portfolio to showcase and pursue a career in tech! I am forever grateful to the SheCodes team!

I have been on and off again with learning JS. I decided to join SheCodes after reading many reviews left from other women. I like the fact that this platform is solely on women learning how to code therefore I decided to jump in and join. I enrolled in the Plus workshop and I just completed Coding Basics and I am already loving it. The teaching method is great, after each lesson you apply what you learn by completing challenges and the homework assignment. I cannot wait to continue and start the next workshop. Thanks Matt! SheCodes is a fun and interactive way to get started with web development and programming. Matt is a great teacher who explains things in a very simple way. The course consists of several videos by Matt which are followed by relevant challenges. If you have never written a line of code before in your life like me, then this is a good place to get started.
With SheCodes, I discovered a new passion for coding. The classes are very instructive and I felt well guided through all the challenges. I learned so much in SheCodes Basics, I am looking forward to the next workshop!

Really enjoyed this course, the lessons have been fun and the homework challenges were too! Great to know more about HTML, CSS & JS in such a short period of time. I'd recommend it to everyone who wants to know more about coding without spending a huge amount of time on it. Also easy to combine with a full-time job, all you need is some interest and dedication and you'll be fine!
Had much fun learning how to create responsive websites, totally recommend i think nowadays it is very important to create responsive websites since our very first contact with a website usually starts with our phone.
SheCodes has been a great experience. I have learned a lot during the 3 week period. Each lesson was super understandable and exciting to watch. I was shocked by how easily I slid from one lesson to the next. I had started coding many times, but I was never comfortable enough to stick to it and I didn't feel supported during the courses. SheCodes was truly the opposite of my past experiences and I can't wait to go through the next levels.

I started this workshop knowing nothing about coding, but I now feel confident in my coding skills! I loved the self-paced as it fits right in with my busy schedule. I have a hard time focusing on videos, but these interactives, straight-to-the-point made it easier for me to focus and learn.

Coding was a skill that I knew would be useful for work. It was only after delving into the SheCodes activities did I realize that coding to be interesting and fun! My mathematical/puzzle/problem solving brain loved wrapping my head around the languages and troubleshooting any potential mistakes. SheCodes definitely piqued my interest in the coding world and I may have to dive in again soon!
Helped me a lot with figuring out how to code big projects. Included a ton of helpful mini projects that all culminated in something really cool. I feel like there is quite a bit I can improve on, but I am proud of where I am and where I am heading :D.
I was always interested in coding but I was intimidated by it especially since it is a male-dominated field. After completing my SheCodes workshop I feel so empowered and I discovered that coding can actually be really fun once you get the hang of it. I love the community that SheCodes has created and I would highly recommend the course to all female-identifying people (even if you have no prior coding knowledge like me going into the course).
Matt broke down the concepts into short, easy to understand lessons. Not many can teach effectively, especially something as abstract as coding, but he does it so well.
SheCodes Plus was a perfect edition to SheCodes Basics. There was a nice review of the first class (HML, CSS, JavaScript). The final project was super fun to build and fun to show off!

I found this workshop really valuable. It was challenging but really rewarding when things started to click. As with the other workshops I’ve attended, I found the videos really helpful and informative. The SheCodes team are always happy to help if you are unsure of anything.

My ratings for them are: - Basic 5/5 (Very fun and a great introduction to coding.) - Plus 4/5 (Not as well done as the Basic course, but still interesting and informative.) - Responsive 5/5 (Well done and very useful skills to pick up.) I'll be continuing with the React workshop, too. Overall, SheCodes is great!
I have always enjoyed working on computers and I have seen advertisements for coding workshops but I never thought it was for me. Then I found SheCodes and fell in love! Javascript has been the most challenging part of learning to code for me personally but all the support from the SheCodes staff and other students has made it easier. I can't wait to start SheCodes Pro!

The Basic course was very informative for me, I learned many things that I did not know before. And the challenges were very challenging. Of course, with passing each challenge and moving forward, more and better things were learned. I'm so glad I was able to attend this course and thank you so much Matt and everyone who helped.

I've tried several coding classes in the past, but I always struggled with understanding the basic concepts. When I came across SheCodes, I was initially hesitant due to past experiences, but I am so glad I signed up. I got introduced to SheCodes through an ad I got, right at the perfect time. I was searching for coding courses online, but nothing really resonated with me up until then. The free course was the first thing I tried, making me interested in coding in a whim. Wanting to continue my coding journey, I enrolled in the SheCodes Basics program, and I really do not regret doing so! I've learned so much during these last three weeks on SheCodes Basics, going from somebody who couldn't understand code, to somebody who is already able to code a little website! :) 10/10 would recommend!

SheCodes makes coding really easy to understand and fun to do. I have really enjoyed learning how to build a webpage using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The lessons are really manageable to build around your schedule and make learning really easy, and coding accessible!
I did the basic course and it is absolutely perfect for beginners! Everything comes in little bits and pieces, so you won't get overwhelmed. Every new challenge comes with a little hack you need to find out by yourself, so you get in the mode of solving problems and feel like a real hacker. If you need help, you can always find it in the awesome slack community. I would recommend this to all of my friends.

Matt is a great teacher and the course is really fun! 😊 What really made the difference for me was having well thought through challenges at the end of each class and week, which ensured that I had understood the material properly and could apply it in a different setting.

I was really surprise with the amount of things I have learned in the past 3 weeks while doing the SheCodes course. I had no idea about coding, still have loads to learn, but my final project made me really happy. I can definitely say I enjoy my time while doing the exercices and projects.
I love the bite size lessons where we have to apply the knowledge we just leant right after each lesson to consolidate our understanding. Would recommend it to anyone who would like to see if coding is right for them.

An Amazing journey!!! It took me back to my Uni days and stole my heart again. I studied Masters in Computer Science in the past. I couldn't pursue my dream yet. Hopefully, one day I will fulfil my dream. Being my self in the education, I can say honestly Matt is doing a brilliant Job with this whole SheCodes program. His teaching is excellent! SheCodes responsive was pretty fun! Again, Matt made the content fairly easy to follow. I think building a responsive website is an important skill, and now I can tell why some websites don't look that great on a smaller screen. Excited to get onto the next course!
I started this workshop with high hopes and I was definitely not disappointed with SheCodes.I loved how Matt explained everything step by step and besides, it's not all practice but also tips that can help you to program better, I would definitely think about getting the next level of workshop.
Matt has an incredibly skilled way of breaking things down into bite sized pieces and making coding easy. I love that he doesn't just focus on teaching the coding concepts, but also on how to be resourceful if you do run into trouble (ie. even the most experienced coders Google things! You do not need to memorize every language). He doesn't edit his typos out of the videos-- which is also comforting, because it demonstrates that no matter how good the coder is, mistakes happen and that's ok. I signed up for the full package, and I'm very much looking forward to continuing on! :)
