I love how the workshops build on each other, delivering material in approachable, bite-sized pieces. My final project for SheCodes Responsive has progressed so far since I took SheCodes Basic, and I am so much more confident writing code.

A great introduction to coding! Lessons were super clear and challenges in between lessons leading up to the homework/projects helped to solidify my understanding throughout the course.

It's great that you can set your own space completing this workshop, and I would have never thought that I would lose myself in coding for hours and hours because I wanted to learn more and more. The videos are easy to follow and Matt provides great tips. I've done some other online courses about HTML and CSS in the past, but I was never able to find the right commitment. The challenges and homework at SheCodes changed that. I'm very proud of the end result!

I used to self-study Javascript and HTML/CSS, and because of my experience, I knew I needed to find a place where someone could teach me a more concrete foundation. I chose SheCodes because it felt comfortable to me knowing other women around my age wanted to develop a new skill that wasn't in their current repertoire. The BASICS package was very easy to go through - especially because I had prior knowledge, but I did learn a few other things while going through each lesson and doing each assignment. I think it was nice to hear a few tips from Matt and how actual developers might do some basic coding.
I never worked on html or javascript before, but I really think that everyone should know the basics. I mean, everything runs on websites, you should know at least what they're made of!
I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basic course and I'm looking forward to starting the next ones :)

This was fairly easy to follow. I'm fairly busy, but I felt like I could get back to it at any time.
I have learned and made great progress throughout this course! I am so proud of how far I've come since starting SheCodes Basics with absolutely no knowledge of coding. I feel comfortable with concepts of coding that I was scared of before! The lessons being split up into shorter segments really helps to grasp the concepts and from feeling overwhelmed. It is also simple to follow along with Matt's lessons at my own pace and if there is an issue I can not figure out myself, the technicians are prompt to provide help on the Slack chat. I would definitely encourage others step out of their comfort zone and give SheCodes a try!
The SheCodes Basics course was such a lovely introduction into coding. I found the lessons really engaging and informative. The structure for learning was perfect for me. The entire community of women were so supportive and inspiring. And although the workshop was challenging it was also highly rewarding. I cannot wait to complete future workshops!

SheCodes Plus was definitely more challenging than Basic. I learned a lot and I am proud of what I have created! I am not a designer by any means but happy I was able to code a functional app. There is a lot more that goes into creating even the most basic elements than I thought. I have lots to learn.
For someone with zero coding or IT background, I enjoyed this Basic workshop more than I thought I would even with the challenges I faced. I am very keen to learn more in the advanced workshops.
SheCodes Workshops helped me regain knowledge I had lost about 10 years ago. In the first week, we were already covering things I hadn't been taught. I highly suggest taking these workshops if you want to get to know and work in the coding world!

I've tried several different ways to learn to code and from the beginning I knew I would love it, but I never really found one that clicked until SheCodes. Incredibly easy to follow along and go at your own pace, the program is obviously well thought out and geared towards beginners. Even my friend, a long time programmer, was impressed with the progress I made in just three weeks. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get their foot in the door of coding.
SheCodes Basics has been a wonderful introduction to Front-End Development for me. Since I can access the videos any time, I've been able to do it on the weekends and after work. And now I've coded my first web page! It is unbelievable how easy Matt makes coding seem and I can't recommend SheCodes more.

The Responsive workshop was incredibly insightful. There was so much to learn and to put into practice. I'm grateful for this new skill and feel so excited about being able to create projects that can be viewed on various screens.
After almost 6 years on the helpdesk I decided to make a change and get into something more interesting, I had tried all kinds of tutorials and signed up for loads of bootcamps and it all ended up being either too expensive or not the right fit. Matt taught us in short bursts and still allowed room for us to look and find answers on our own! He not only taught me how to code but he taught me how to find the answers I need as well so that I can continue to teach myself! Looking forward to more workshops from SheCodes!

I'm so glad that I did this course! Though it's been challenging, I love that I've been able to go back and rewatch videos, get feedback from peers and also from the SheCodes staff. They get back to you quickly and really take the time to explain things when I got stuck. I had been using other resources to try to learn coding before trying SheCodes, including apps. I feel like I'm grasping concepts better and can actually apply what I'm learning. I really love that you have assignments and homework deadlines, I needed the extra motivation, I wasn't getting that from other things I had tried. I'm really excited to complete all of the other courses I signed up for with SheCodes!

An amazing introduction into the world of coding. Lessons are set out in an extremely user friendly 3 part format - 'Learn' A video tutorial explaining how something works. 'Challenge' An opportunity to demonstrate what you have just learnt. 'Solution' Explanation of how to solve the challenge. The video tutorials are informative and perfectly timed to ensure that they aren't overwhelming for newbies. Just enough information is provided to allow students to have a clear set up whilst also providing a little extra challenge here and there. Completing the final project has left me really excited and ready to take on the 'SheCodes Plus' workshop next! Huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes teams! :)
What an amazing 8 weeks of learning this has been for me! As someone with no prior knowledge of computer programming, SheCodes made it so easy to grasp concepts and implement them myself. I have no experience in coding. I didn't even know what it was really, until a couple months ago. I was nervous to try, and even more nervous to take a boot camp. I am horrible at school. I am not good at processing information just by listening. SheCodes has been the best thing, and I am so happy I found it. Matt is an excellent teacher! I love the way he talks, and he keeps you interested. He explains things so well. And to top it off, you actually DO the coding after he shows you. I learn best by doing, and this has been the best thing for me. I am just completing the basic course and plan on taking the pro course! The steps in the course are designed in a way that is really manageable with 0 programming experience. Examples are easy to follow and challenges and homework progress very gradually without big shock on the way. I like that schedule is quite accurate - which makes it important to fit if you have work.

In just 3 weeks, I learned so much! I was an absolute beginner when I started. I had no prior knowledge whatsoever. At first, it seemed intimidating, but now I can make a basic website already! If you're new to this, I highly recommend SheCodes. Matt takes it step by step. His teaching style makes it very easy to understand. If you want to learn to code, ENROLL! It's well worth it. Having two projects helped me to understand better how react works. In this course videos were great to learn as coding was explained from a real time perspective on how a developer would solve bugs. From these videos on my last project I went little beyond the tutorials to try how much I can code independently and this made me understand how much in videos searching for bugs helped. This course was a good introduction to react and looking forward to create more complex projects.

Coding is a skill I truly believe everyone should learn however when first starting out just the word "coding" intimidated me. Especially seeing as how it is a male-dominated field and how it's represented in the media as complex words and numbers on a screen. I enyojed this short course, it was great to get a bit more familiar with coding! The videos were good for learning, Matt explained everything and the solution section helped a lot as well.
