About a month ago, a friend of mine mentioned how she was going to start a course in coding, created especially for women. I have to admit, at first I only checked the SheCodes website out of curiosity, but after the free coding class I was hooked! I had to try it! And let me tell you, I am so glad I did! Lately I have been trying to get myself out of my comfort zone as much as possible and this is the first time ever that I purchase and finish a course, completely unrelated to the field that I have studied in. After just having finished my final project, I feel over the moon, proud of myself and I look forward to continuing my coding studies in the nearest future. I would absolutely love to have a career in coding, because it would give me the freedom and flexibility that I long for. Let’s see what the future holds. Thank you, SheCodes team!
I had never thought of finished a project like this on my own as I thought the coding was like a monster or a great giant to me. Thanks to this course, Matt, and also the learners from the community, I can finally finish this "Mission Impossible". Coding is really fun and just like problem-solving. With the coding foundation, I have more confidence to explore more coding in the future!
The lessons were engaging and easy to follow. Loved the little challenges between each lessons and the homework at the end of each week, which helped foster my interest in coding further! I was so nervous that coding would be too hard for me but I'm really glad I took a chance with SheCodes. Can't wait for the next workshops!
Lessons are flexible and easy to put down and pick back up again later when you only have a little time here and there throughout the week to devote to SheCodes. Super easy to follow along with and very clear challenges made it easy to do well!

The responsive course was a great opportunity for me to learn how to create a website that I can actually use. I was never good at designing anything, but thanks to this class that I was able to develop my own sense of color by using css and bootstrap to add color. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning to build their own websites.

I am very happy finally I finish my basic class! The original plan was spending a lot of time each day, at the end it turns out to be quite handful and interesting. For the final homework, I even spend extra time to learn advanced stuff. This becomes more like a hobby instead of a homework. The tools that SHECODES provided are very useful and JUST RIGHT TO USE THEM! Cannot wait for the next adventures ahead!
I had such a fun time with the SheCodes Basics Workshop. Matt makes it super easy to follow and I loved the little mini projects throughout the first two weeks - it really makes you put what you've learned into practice. While I only had time for the 3-week workshop, I'll probably come back to do one of the longer workshops later down the road. Highly recommend giving SheCodes a go, whether you're looking to expand your skillset for your career, or simply just want to do it for fun!

I have always wanted to move my career from retail/hospitality to coding as this is something I am passionate about. I had a very crude understanding of coding but nothing that could produce a product. Through this course I have gathered skills to create something I really like, that I could use to start learning more with an end goal of getting a job in development. The team and other students are lovely and helpful. This is a great introduction into coding.
I'm blown away that I've made it this far! I've gone from my only real computer and tech experience being typing quickly to now being able to code. This experience has changed my life, helping me realize I can do so much more than I ever thought possible with the proper teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. I found these workshops some time ago, I was hesitant but I am glad I finally joined. Explanations are easy to understand and super didactic. I liked that the whole workshop was very hands-on, with the challenges after each lesson, the homeworks, and the final project.

I loved learning how to code in HTML, Java and CSS through this workshop: it helped me a lot, because I couldn't make it alone. Very easy to understand and follow along! I have a limited background in programming but with Matt's help, was able to learn the basics of web design. He's a great instructor and besides his videos, he also offers resources for you to use on your own projects. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who wants to get started in web design but has no idea where to start. All the students have access to a Slack as well where we can ask questions and receive help from the SheCodes staff or even each other. Learning something new doesn't feel so intimidating knowing that other students might be running into the same problems as you are. I just finished SheCodes Basics and can't wait to get started on SheCodes Plus!

I've always wanted to learn something about computers and coding but i never pushed myself to learn because i thought it was too hard. I've started to my self-learning coding journey a while ago and I lost my motivation so many times. I feel super lucky to come across SheCodes because everything has been way more easier with Matt and SheCodes community! Do you have a problem? It's okay just go on Slack and enter key words. You will most likely see another person who had the same problem and a great community who already helped that person with the solution!! And if you are like me who loves listening to music while study you will love SheCodes Radio! It's a good way to learn the foundations of coding. I especially liked that we were challenged to think outside of the box and seek help either from the Slack community or google solutions on reliable websites. Matt gave clear instructions/demonstrations which were easy to digest.

Signing up for SheCodes was an intense and strategic move for myself, personally. I've recently moved from a large city to a smaller one within a one year span. Within a two year span, I have returned to school to learn a new trade! Not once but twice! Working within my current field, I have realized that the industry that I'm currently in tends to take their employees for granted which is a pressing matter during the pandemic. I decided to make ANOTHER HUGE MOVE and go for web development! Following through with the promise, I've made to myself and to some near and dear family members; I've decided to apply for particular coding programs online. The only thing was that I couldn't keep my focus and even felt abandoned during assignments that needed to be passed to move forward inside of the platform. I then came across SheCodes while doing some more research. I happened to come across this fabulous company and learning platform whilst watching a Youtube video on learning HTML! I automatically applied for the live work shop with Matt and instantly was inspired to follow my heart! I haven't looked back since! Facing so much adversity and diversity within my life. I feel I am where I belong. Doing something that brings me true enjoyment! The program and staff make sure to challenge you to think outside of box and teaches you that not one piece fits in the same spot but there are multiple ways of solving and building your OWN WORLD! Which is PRETTY FREAKING COOL! The support on the site is TOP NOTCH! Working a full time job as a health care worker is overwhelming but when I feel as if can't move along with my assignments; there will always be a staff member of SheCodes to assist you along to lead the way! I'm definitely going to refer SheCodes to my friends and family in not so distant future because the future is here! More women in the tech world! The thought of learning to code seemed really scary and frankly ridiculous to me, but this course has completely flipped my idea of what coding is. I have been interested in coding for a while but wasn't able to find a program that would fit my busy schedule. As a mom with a full-time job, SheCodes enabled me to learn the basics of coding stress-free. The community is also wonderful and very supportive. I am definitely planning to continue my learning journey with advanced SheCodes classes.

3 months ago I did not know anything about coding and now I finished my first project and it feels great to learn and achieve something new! Compared to Basics, Plus workshop was of course bit more challenging but I went back to the videos and followed Matt and I could make everything work in the end. I can't wait to continue with the React workshop!
SheCodes is awesome. It has been a really fun journey learning how to code from scratch with SheCodes. I do have zero knowledge on coding and I have not done coding before in my life. But after three weeks of learning in a row, I find it really interesting to be able to code and create something on the internet with my own creativity. I would definitely recommend SheCodes to those who wants to learn how to code and to those who wants to master their coding skills.

Doing SheCodes Basics was quite empowering to me. Being able to create a simple landing page from scratch and understand how the dynamics work was thrilling. Matt explained everything so elaborately. The support from the staff was also amazing. I honestly really enjoyed these last three weeks and can't wait to move to the next level.

Learning to code have been an absolute joy, and SheCodes has been the perfect platform by which to learn! The lessons are taught in a way that help you to understand why things work, rather than just telling you what to do without the context or understanding behind it. I've started to learn coding with a view to begin a career in this field, however before even completing the basics course I was already using code in real life situations in my current job, something I didn't even realise was possible before I started this course! The Slack community is also a fantastic resource with advice and support from both other SheCoders and SheCode staff which is really useful and reassuring. I am so excited to keep learning through the rest of the Pro courses.
I started learning coding with SheCodes 6 months ago. I submit my final project today, and the journey has been life changing. 6 months ago, I had zero idea how to write an h1 but today, I submit a fully functional dictionary app I coded from scratch. I know I am going to miss Matt's guiding and instructional voice in my headphones. A giant thank you to the entire SheCodes team. Till we meet again!

SheCodes React was my last set of tutorials and it allowed me for a huge step up in my coding knowledge, having taught how to host my own website online. I very much enjoyed the experience once again and would love to make use of my newly developed coding skill really soon.
For me, SheCodes gave a certain structure or a 'starting point' to a wide range of discipline; which enabled me to actually start learning and appreciate coding.
The workshop was nice and easy to follow. You can watch the videos on your own time and finish the homework before the deadline. I also love the fact that we can reference back to the videos to remind us how to do certain codes.
Amazing Experience! The projects are fun, challening and extremely satisfying. the Instruction video provide you with all the info you need to finish the projects and homework without being to long.

SheCodes has been great for getting a taster of HTLM, CSS and JavaScript to see if I liked it. I liked that I could do it at my own pace and that there were challenges after each lesson which helped me to practice. I'd recommend the short course to anyone who's not sure what to expect or whether you'll like it as you learn enough to give you a taster and see if it's something you'd like to pursue further as you'll need to invest quite a bit of time and effort and money if you like what you see and consider it as a carrier change. I started with no knowledge of coding and this was so informational and easy to understand. Truly a great program for anyone who wants to learn coding and I mean anyone! It was also a lot of fun and you always have someone to help you with any questions if you're stuck.
