It's my third SheCodes workshop. And every time I think that it's so amazing to try something new in the welcoming atmosphere of true mentorship, support, and appraising students' progress. I feel that I become stronger and more curious with every week and every lesson.
It's a wonderful experience! I can't believe it's so easy to start coding! I can't be stopped anymore! Thanks for the inspiration!
The Responsive workshop was quite simple, it was easy to figure everything out :)
SheCodes Basics was a nice intro to coding. Matts' teaching style is concise, and each challege was approachable and fun. I'm looking forward to learning more in SheCodes Plus!
I learned such an amazing amount about how to built a beautiful website in such a short amount of time. Not only did I learn how to do specific things, but I also learned how to look things up on my own. This will allow me to do even more than I learned in this class in the future, and continue to build upon the knowledge I gained in this course. This will help me in so many different aspects of communicating with designers, engineers, etc. in the future.

I was looking for a career change and had been thinking about coding for a while but did not know where to start. When I found SheCodes, I knew it would be a great way to get into the field! I always wanted to learn how to code. I have spent a lot of time in the customer service/food service realm and always saw advertisements for coding workshops. Three weeks ago, I took the leap and I don't regret it. I definitely have a mind that likes to figure things out and so seeing the back end of everything has been super cool. This course was definitely nostalgic, reminding me of my time trying to edit my Myspace profile to something a little more personalized. I definitely want to continue my journey and learn more.
Joining SheCodes was the best thing I've ever done. I never knew I could enjoy coding so much. I was so afraid to start the workshop, but how glad I am now that I did. I fell in love with coding when I participated in a one-month training on digital skill acquisition organized by young catholic professionals. Even though I was an art student way back in school, the program was impactful, and I made up my mind I would pursue a career in coding, unfortunately, I didn't have the needed funds to do so, but thanks to God, I came across SheCodes foundation and applied fortunately for me, I was admitted to study Coding free of charge, its one of the best thing that happened to me and ever since then my life has changed for the better, and I want to say thank you SheCodes.

It was a very interesting experience for me. I`d like to continue my IT education. Sometimes it was rather hard to cope with the task. But Matt`s explanations are very useful. And the team is always ready to help.

At SheCodes Basic, I learned a lot about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in just three weeks. I really liked how workshops were structured, challenging us to make practices by doing exercise what we'd learned. I've learned so much in just three weeks. It's all about hands-on learning. I'm excited to continue on my learning journey after finishing SheCodes Basic.
Great refresher for basic HTML, CSS, and JS. It's suitable for people who have never coded before—great explanations, homework assignments, and projects that keep you accountable throughout the course. The only reason for my 3/5 stars is because I already knew how to the content in this particular course. Skip this course, however, if you recently learned HTML, CSS, and JS and have a good grasp of the fundamentals. I suggest you proceed with the higher-level curriculum.
Would highly recommend SheCodes Basic course to anyone who are even slightly interested in knowing how to code. You can choose your own pace of studying (do have deadlines tho & it's a good thing), lessons are structured and on point, challenges are short and fun to accomplish and you can also always ask for help from team if you're stuck with something. I had a great time learning basics and really excited to learn further!

Loved SheCodes Basic! Short and straightforward videos with clear explanations and simple examples specifically designed training material for beginners and advanced students alike. Extra info with links at the bottom of each video where you can learn more. Who knew that it would be more difficult to decide on the colors you want to use for your final project than the coding part itself 😅. Good thing Matt has a solution for that too with SheCodes Color Palettes and CSS Gradients. Thank you Matt & SheCodes team!
I really enjoyed this course and I am looking forward to progressing onto the next one. I had absolutely no coding experience before this, but I found Matt's teaching very clear and concise. Really excited for future projects within SheCodes, and beyond!

Before joining SheCodes i was a little scared of Javascript as i have heard people say it was very tough. My instructor Matt turned that fear into confidence as he taught it in a way that it was very easy for me to understand. It was a GREAT start in a new specialty, huge experience, I acquired new knowledge and skills, I became calmer and more observant)
The lessons taught by Matt, were super clear and manageable. Having the slack team available for when we got stuck was so nice, and helped keep up morale and motivation toward learning more and having fun doing it. Outside of that the other SheCodes resources, such as the gradient and palette features, and shecodes radio rocked ! Most importantly, they were really understanding with timing; I needed extensions due to health concerns and power outages, and they made it really easy and stress-free to request more time. 10/10 would recommend.
It was a fantastic course with a really welcoming and wonderful community! Highly recommended! :)
It was quite challenging but interesting!
I really appreciate the step-by-step process of this course. I feel like learning and practicing in steps and then later on applying it into a project is really helpful. I also enjoy the organization of the program and feel adequate enough to know where to look for help and where to find references in order to support in my learning.

This workshop has given me a general knowledge of coding, allowing me to know what's out there coding-wise. It gave me the big picture of the possibilities and limitations (if there are any!) of coding. I am delighted to be able to build a fully functional application, to have learnt technical terms and most importantly to understand the logic behind coding. Although I don't wish to become a developer myself, I am pretty sure this knowledge will come in handy in all my future professional endeavours. Regarding the workshop structure, in spite of feeling somewhat overwhelmed by some weeks' workload, I find it positive to have a weekly-basis step-to-step approach to the workshop, otherwise, it would be easy to lose rhythm and fall back on progress. Thank you very much!

SheCodes Plus was definitely more challenging than SheCodes Basics. However, the SheCodes community was encouraging and helpful. During this course I had another severe asthma exacerbation, and it was such a relieve that I could continue to work on my project from the comfort of my own home. I was also able to make a friend during this course that was a huge support. I feel truly accomplished with my weather app! and I'm so excited for what is coming next!
I want to say a huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for these incredible workshops!!! Everything was very clear and interesting. I liked the third week of study the most, during which I did a project, I did my FIRST project BY MYSELF.
I would never have imagined I would build a weather app by myself in 8 weeks, I just learned so much, thanks Matt & SheCodes Team! I loved the fact that the lessons were focused on the project. Sometimes the content was though but it's part of it. The most important for me: I really enjoyed working on the weather app!

It was a wonderful journey in coding which seemed impossible to me at the beginning. Thanks to SheCodes and Matt for creating this school and giving me the desire to dive into the world of coding.
I am a motivated, honest, sincere girl who really likes to program. I have completed a Python core course and an incomplete Python marathon, which allowed me to upgrade my Python skills to advance level, Softserve courses. Ever since I was a child, I really like to solve various logical problems. Now it helps me to quickly solve the difficult tasks before me. I am very punctual and accurate, I love order and discipline.
