I'm very grateful to Matt and his team for creating this wonderful resource! While I wish there was more one-on-one guidance from professionals and experts in the field for the sake of professional development, the videos do a great job of teaching the technical side of front-end development, breaking down processes into highly digestible chunks.
With SheCodes, Yana was able to understand the HTML, CSS and Javascript components and used her new skills to create a landing page which will be expanded into a website in the future. She gained valuable coding experience and confidence in using the coding programs through the basics SheCodes course.
This course has taught me so much. I feel the skills I've learned have aided my development in the coding space, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in diversifying their skillset.
Although this course was more challenging than the previous one, it was definitely worth it.

I was looking to learn a new skill that could get my foot in the door in tech when I stumbled upon SheCodes. I knew absolutely nothing about coding going into the basic workshop- but I loved it so much I decided to go all in with the max workshop! Learning HTML, CSS and Javascript in SheCodes Basic was a breeze! I finished it in 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed the videos and projects. I was able to comprehend the material, and I enjoyed how the challenges were right in between simple and complex. I appreciate Matt not giving me all the answers but instead challenging me to figure some things out on my own.
This program was the best thing I have discovered in years! You get to go at your own pace and the provided workshop videos are so clear and easy to follow. Each homework assignment and final project are so gratifying when completed. I could not have asked for a better start to my (hopefully) long and prosperous tech career. I come from an outdoor environmental education, services, and stay-at-home mom background. I knew my way around Microsoft Word and could connect my phone bluetooth to my car....and that's about it. If I could do this then so can you! If you're on the fence, just do it. JUST TRY IT! Matt really breaks it down for you. I'm not going to lie, it was frustrating at times, but it was even more gratifying to solve the problem by myself and see the results of my hard work.

The Basics workshop exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this program for busy women to learn code on a part-time basis. This was a great way to learn the foundations of coding and how webpages are built. The lessons were challenging, yet manageable. The instructors and fellow students are so helpful and engaging. The pace and the structure of instruction was excellent, perfect for beginners!

It definitely challenged me and there were many moments where I felt like I couldn't get my code to work properly. However I tried my best to troubleshoot and was usually able to fix the problem or find a new solution. I'm excited to learn more facets of coding.
