I signed up for the Free Coding Class and, because of it, decided to start with the Basics. The structure of SheCodes Basics is well thought and engaging. Free coding tools are provided as well as plenty study material alongside Matt's clear and concise lessons. I confess to have lost track of time quite often during the final project but it was time worth spending - and it was fun! I am definitely up for a Challenge next. And you? 🙂

Creating a responsive portfolio with SheCodes was a challenge but well worth the effort! By the end, I had strengthened my coding skills, realized how far I've come with my coding knowledge, and have a portfolio project worth celebrating!
This has been a great experience, and I have learned a lot about the proper use of AI to get maximum results using prompts and context. I believe I could have done more to my project if I had some sort of creative bone in me.

I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes Basic Workshop. It allowed me to maintain my full-time job and be fulfill my duty as a single parent, while coding part-time in the evenings. As someone with a college background in Cybersecurity , the workshop served as an excellent refresher for me. However, the knowledge that I have gained will create a smoother transition into a Software Engineering career. I was able to enhance and manifest my skills in programming and web development. Overall, I look forward to continuing my coding journey with SheCodes.

Over the past three weeks, I deepened my understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, building on my prior experience in web development. Initially, I revisited HTML to refine my content structuring skills, then delved into CSS to enhance my styling techniques, mastering responsive design with flexbox and grid layout. JavaScript posed the greatest challenge, but I enjoyed learning DOM manipulation, event handling, and dynamic content creation. This journey culminated in a project that I am incredibly proud of a functional, responsive web application showcasing my ability to integrate these technologies effectively. Submitting this project marks a significant milestone in my development journey. It highlights the progress I've made in a short time and boosts my confidence to tackle more complex projects in the future.
