I decided to take on this course and it's been great. I used to do programming at my old job, however since I stopped being a software engineer. I noticed I started to slowly forget what I learnt. I took on this course to jog my memory and it helped a lot! I didn't notice how much I missed coding until I did this course. The teaching was fantastic from Matt, the videos along with the tasks to do were so fun. The SheCodes team was amazing and they made sure to answer any questions we had.
As someone with no coding knowledge whatsoever, I was initially hesitant to delve into the world of web development, but these workshops exceeded all my expectations and left me feeling inspired and confident. The challenges that come with almost every lesson are particularly effective in solidifying my understanding. It's incredible to witness how quickly I progressed, from zero knowledge to building my own web page and bringing it to life with stylish designs and interactive features. The bootcamp helped me in understanding the core concepts of React; such as components, JSX syntax, and the how to create functional components. I was a little bit worried I wouldn't be able to follow (what's before absolute beginner?), but 3 weeks later I am so glad I went for it! I was immediately hooked by the workshop and looked forward to login in at the end of the day. Matt's lessons are remarkably clear and engaging, and I loved being able to immediately apply my newly acquired knowledge in the exercises. SheCodes allowed me to surprise myself and make myself proud, I had way more fun than I ever thought I would while learning how to code. It's not that complicated, after all!

Time went so quickly whilst doing this course which can only mean one thing.....I LOVED IT!!!! I have always been curious as to how websites are made so when I saw this course I jumped at the chance to do it. Matt does a wonderful job at explaining everything with easy to follow videos and smart little challenges at the end of each section. My advice to everyone is to take lots and lots of notes! Overall a very informative, enjoyable course to do, very happy indeed.
This was a pretty easy going course. Learning how to make my code responsive for different devices was a lot of fun and challenging.
Run and easy to follow
I began the journey, March 2023, of teaching myself HTML, CSS, JavaScript by using various platforms for guidance, but none of them gave me the structure I so needed. I felt as though I was spinning my wheels in tutorial hell, not knowing when enough was enough to proceed forward. Thanks Matt for instructing, articulating, demonstrating and providing the structure I need to excel.

Great Project Exercise
This responsive workshop was very challenging and fun to attend. I learn a lot about how to make web pages responsive and had a lot of fun learning how to use grids! After I completed my final project, I was very proud of what I've acomplished and I am very proud of my portfolio page. I have to thank Matt for his amazing explanations, which helped me to get through the workshop very smoothly!
This coding experience has been nothing short of incredible. Completing the SheCodes Basic program feels like a dream. I never used to be conversant with technology. Now, I can say I can work with three programming languages confidently. The SheCodes+ course was sometimes difficult and confusing for me, but quite exciting. Each lesson includes only the most necessary information for beginners, and helps to learn Java script gradually and without stress. The Plus Add-On was an exciting challenge. I loved seeing the 'live changes' with time zones and how we go through each step thoroughly. The step by step process is super helpful, especially when it involves JavaScript.

I highly recommend SheCodes, I am glad I decided to try coding with it. Matt is a really great instructor and everything he teaches is easy to follow. I managed to finish the SheCodes Basics classes within a month at my own pace and time and now I am able to apply the basics and build a proper landing page with what was taught.

Absolutely recommended for those who, like me, have always been 'allergic' to notions of coding in JavaScript! 😅 It was not as easy as I thought. However, all the notions covered in the course are fundamental to understanding the world of coding and the exercises offered are well structured, allowing you to create a great final project. Without this course, I would never have understood how Java Script functions on my own!

Well explained and very easy to follow
SheCodes basics served as a really good refresher for me. I took Web design in high school and a few college course classes but we didn't go over javascript in those classes. They were after all basics. So a lot of the language I was familiar with but there was a lot that I wasn't familiar with also.
Another challenging course that encouraged me to recount and build on the skills I learned during the previous SheCodes workshops.

I really enjoyed this course. It gave a whole understanding of the HTML file and its internal structure. I got confidence in the basics and enjoyed creating some functionalities.
