React was extremely challenging for me, I am so glad I purchased the add-on so that I could get more practice! I really enjoyed coding my dictionary app! Loved this course! I have wanted to take an intro coding course for a while, and I'm so glad I chose SheCodes. Matt was a great instructor, the video, challenge, then solution format really helped me learn the topics, and the flexibility of doing the course at my own pace meant I could easily fit the course into my schedule. I found the SheCodes Plus workshops challenging but fun. I learnt a lot, and really expanded the skills gained in the Basics programme. The early weeks go over what was previously learnt and I found that a useful way of consolidating my learning, and building my skills. I was really pleased with the project I was able to create in such a short space of time. For absolute beginners, like myself, this is a perfect combination of hand-holding (via the informative videos) and encouraging you to find solutions. A really interesting and informative course.
As always, not disappointing at all!! Great overall experience, simply spot-on.

When I say React showed me flames! It showed me flames! There were moments when I just felt like shutting my laptop and calling it. But I took breaks and rewatched Matt about a dozen times and I managed to get it down. I need to code more using react to better understand it but I now have a good basic understanding of it. Thanks to SheCodes and Matt.
I really enjoyed learning more about coding and with the easy to watch videos, engaging assignments, and Matt's finesse guiding you through building your first websites in the SheCodes Basic workshop, you are set up for success from day 1! What a ride!! I cannot believe I have made my own weather app from scratch. During this workshop, I was able to learn more about GitHub, APIs, and how to host websites on Netlify. I also learned advanced HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Matt is an amazing teacher, I had zero knowledge about coding but I have learnt a lot in just 3 weeks and can not wait to code more and enhance my skills.
I have always found coding interesting, but I never felt confident/settled enough to sign up for courses. The SheCodes program created a safe space for me to be able learn at my own pace but still be under pressure with the homework deadlines and challenged my abilities in a positive way. It made me realise that this is the path I want to do in the future and Mr Delac's coaching skills created a very relaxed learning environment for me. Thank you very much.

This Add-on workshop is a very useful addition to the Plus workshop. It focuses on using libraries and working with time and dates. As in every other workshop, the explanations are clear and the challenges help you to build knowledge progressively.

I recently got hired for a new and exciting role in my school division (I am a teacher) as an Educational Technology Coordinator. A part of my role will also be working with computers and computer science, so I wanted to get a headstart this summer on improving my basic coding skills. From the first webinar, I knew that SheCodes would be a great program fit for me. You can go at your own pace, however, I found it really easy to complete the lessons and homework earlier than anticipated. The entire SheCodes Basics program was so easy to follow - I loved the lessons and Matt is a wonderful teacher who explains things. You can tell he is very passionate about coding and has so much knowledge to share. I learned many practical tips. The homework is challenging, however, with supports like the Slack channel and Athena AI, I had no issues. I've decided that after completing the Basics Program, I am definitely going to continue my SheCodes journey! I cannot wait to continue to learn and grow with this program. This community of women is very inspiring.

Compared to other coding courses I looked at, this one was so much easier to understand because Matt doesn't constantly use all the coding jargon until you really get to grips with it and understand why you're doing it. Honestly, I didn't imagine myself in tech a lot, but SheCodes gave me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I'm sincerely grateful for. I was worried if I'd do well or if it wouldn't be my place at all. However, Instructor Matt with his step-by-step patient instructions helped me out. It wasn't a walk in the park always but seeing my code work got me smiling big! Sometimes I don't have fun in the challenges like he said I would but I'm always happy when everything is going as I want. Nothing beats the feeling!
