I was a bit surprised at how much I enjoyed the SheCodes Basic course. I was expecting coding to be super boring, but didn't realize how creative it can be. Once you get started, the possibilities are endless! I just graduated from a graphic design program, and wanted to take this course to make myself more "hireable" to prospective employers and to stand out from my peers in the increasingly competitive job market. When searching for design jobs, most mention candidates with HTML and CSS experience is a huge plus, though not required. I have designed in Figma for UI/UX projects, but I know they will have to be passed off to a developer. This course has helped me improve my skillset and will make it easier when communicating with developers in the future.
I enrolled with high hopes, and it exceeded all my expectations! Everything was broken down into easily understandable chunks, which gave me the confidence to keep learning. I've gained valuable skills and highly recommend the course.

This project was a good exercise to put into practice the things learned during the SheCodes Responsive workshop. It allowed me to strengthen my coding skills and apply them in a real-world context. I appreciated the opportunity to apply my knowledge while working on this project, which boosted my confidence in my programming abilities. After trying so many frontend bootcamps and watching so many youtube videos, I believe that SheCodes has been the best. The instructor explains the concepts so well that in less than in a week you can do a lot. I am grateful that i landed on this workshop and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to understand frontend developement basics.
The React workshop was with no doubt challenging but with Matt explaining very well on each video, and the SheCodes team on Slack to help us out whenever we get stuck I really recommend doing it... looking forward to the next workshop and happy coding!

I never thought I would actually finish a project containing JavaScript , so I must say this is really well structured to teach you the basics pretty well to understand if you do not have any experience with coding at all.

I have been looking for a career change for 2 years now but didn't think it was possible. By the end of She Codes Plus, I had learnt how to create a functioning weather app. That approach of learning that sees to it that we not only obtain theoretical knowledge but also practical outlooks is the sole reason why i love She Codes.
I did not know anything about coding until three weeks ago. I started because I was curious about programming, and my friend recommended SheCodes. Through the first course, I learned a lot and, at the same time, having a lot of fun. I am excited to see what I am going to learn next week and, most importantly, which opportunities it will bring me in the near future.

This SheCodes+ course provided great further teachings and insights of what it means to code. Whilst at times it was a bit challenging, it was still enjoyable and educational. There was a balance of learning new techniques without it feeling overwhelming.

SheCodes 100% definitely is the best coding workshop out there! Before starting SheCodes basics I thought I would feel discouraged or disinterested after the first week but it was completely the opposite. Throughout the course I was engaged and motivated to challenge myself and complete the tasks. The challenges and videos made coding feel so much more easier and it helped me stay on track. One thing I loved about the workshop is that I could go back to any lesson which I didn't fully understand and work on the challenges at any time of the day which is extremely useful for people who are busy. I've learnt so much from Matt and can't wait to begin SheCodes Max! 😇
Working with React is more efficient and more well-organized than working with Java. I will recommend this course for those who wish to learn front-end development!

The Plus workshop was a challenge compared to the Basic program. However, once I finished I was really happy because of how my final project resulted. The challenge that comes with the Plus workshop is definitely worth it.

I really enjoyed this workshop. I have a learning disability and haven't been in school in years, so I was nervous I would have difficulty, however it was pretty simple and straight forward. I actually had a ton of fun creating the last project, even so that I finished super early and tried to add in extra things that were taught, and things I googled to figure out. It was really fun! I did have issues with how the videos would teach us one thing, but then the work you needed to submit asked you to do something that wasn't even taught to you yet. I also didn't quite understand why an entire workshop for teaching women to code is taught by a man. A woman instructor would be better, though I understand Matt is the creator and therefor he teaches it all. I would really like to continue with the other workshops, however they are unfortunately not something I can afford.
I graduated high school this year and wanted to see if the field of STEM was for me. Since it's really not encouraged for young girls to do anything in the STEM direction, I wanted to take a look and SheCodes has made the field so much more accessible that I can't wait to continue learning with the advanced course and direct my studies in that direction.
Really loved learning the coding basics. The workshop was challenging but fulfilling. I enjoyed the activities throughout which gave me a chance to do the coding myself and learn as we go.
