One good thing I did this year was to apply at Shecodes. Reason being I have learn't a lot in the past few weeks and I would like to encourage other ladies to enroll too.
A great initiative that will hopefully benefit many women. The structure of the workshop and the chosen programming languages were very good. It's very helpful to be able to watch the videos more often if you don't understand a part straight away. As these are recorded videos, the workshop is also suitable for doing after work and at the weekend. I will definitely recommend SheCodes to others.

I had a lot of fun creating this app. There were difficult parts of creating this app but I had a lot of fun working out the bugs in my code. Matt made it easy to follow along and learn difficult concepts.

This workshop has been easy to follow along with for someone who has never coded before. It is nice that we can go back and rewatch videos for help and also get support thru the Slack chat.
I decided to learn to code to upgrade my skills, and SheCodes was a great way to do it! The classes were detailed and easy to follow, and the class homeworks were doable yet still challenging. The Slack channel was also really useful when I was stumped on something - it was nice to be able to search discussions for problems others were also dealing with, and get help from the SheCodes team when I needed it. Overall, this was a great investment for me to learn the basics of coding.

A great addition to the Plus workshop! There were a couple of things I wondered about doing during the Plus workshop and this add-on taught me how to do those exact things.
SheCodes Plus challenged me way past my comfort zone and taught me many new skills. I learned more about CSS, HTML and JavaScript that I am excited to use in future projects.
Having done SheCodes Basic and having the means to compare the degree of complexity and what is now expected from us while doing the Plus homework projects, there is no doubt that there is a clear progression on the demand. However, i felt enthusiasted confident enough to keep myself motivated. It is getting more and more challenging but totaly attainable. Week after week, the programe and exercises are very well structured so we keep on going! Just great :)
Things became more challenging, but it has been fun trying to figure it out. I learned more, and took breaks instead of breaking my laptop 😅😅.
I really enjoyed the Basics course and I look forward to furthering my skills on the additional courses.
The past weeks l have been learning to code with SheCodes have been nothing short of extraordinary. I have learnt skills such as time management since the assignments have to be submitted after every week which allows for consistency and discipline. I love how the courses are grouped into short videos which are so easy to understand. With the help of Slack ,I have been able to correct my mistakes through the help of others. Slack has been a great instrument in teamwork and effective communication .I am so grateful to be a part of this opportunity.

In this workshop, I dedicated time to learning how to effectively use Bootstrap. Throughout the lessons I created a new portfolio website to reflect my growth as a developer. Since my career interests straddle web-development and content creation/ebook publishing, I created a portfolio to showcase both interests.
I've developed an addiction to SheCodes. I'm having a lot of fun with Javascript, CSS and HTML. I can't wait to find out what's next. Professor Matt is a champion teacher.

Hello, I am Elham Soldouzi. Before taking this course, I knew nothing about website design. But after going through this stage, I learned a lot of good things. Very good, interesting and efficient points were taught in this course and I am very grateful to the course instructor who taught the material patiently and in full detail.
It was fun, frustrating, exciting and rewarding. I have new skills now! Google is your friend as well as MDN. The best lesson I learnt is that it's better to take a break and come back with fresh eyes than to be working and frustrated. A nap is not a terrible idea at all.
By no means was the Plus course easy to get through but I will say, it was 1 million percent worth it and as the previous Basics course proved, the lessons, challenges and projects were so amazingly put together! As challenging as it was, I really enjoyed growing my skills further and I can't believe I have been able to build my own weather app with a 5 day forecast from scratch after just 3 months of learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript - here's to more learning with SheCodes Max!
This project was a good exercise to put into practice the things learned during the SheCodes Responsive workshop. It allowed me to strengthen my coding skills and apply them in a real-world context. I appreciated the opportunity to apply my knowledge while working on this project, which boosted my confidence in my programming abilities. As a beginner Coder, I was expecting to enter the program and struggle almost instantly. However, thankfully and gratefully, it was not! The lessons are challenging but once you get the solution you're hit with an "ah-hah" moment and that's enough to fuel your motivation to learn more.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get into coding. The course was well thought out, and highly instructional. I went from not knowing anything about computers to being able to basic code! I will be continuing on in the more advanced classes so that eventually I will be able to use my skills to change careers.

The basics SheCodes tutorials were very informative and easy to understand. I had zero coding knowledge and Matt made it easy to follow and be able to do my project. I am very excited to dive deeper into coding now that I am familiar with the languages.

'Coding is hard and rocket science that I will never explore'- this was my first thought before the workshop. Now after the workshop, all I can say is 'coding is a new passion, I have discovered and got to love and not complex as I thought'.
I saw randomly the Pop - up free workshop on Instagram. I found that interesting, so I started the online workshop. Even if you don't have any knowledge of coding or think that you are not really into the Computer World, Well, here you have the possibility to change your mind. It is accessible, simple, and logical to understand. Also, when you don't find a solution, Slack and Athena could be a great help. HTML, CSS, and Javascript are not any more so complicated than before. Thank you again for this great opportunity.

This is an excellent workshop for an intro to frontend development. In start of the workshop i know nothing about coding, by the end of this three weeks workshop I'm able to made a webpage. Incredible and intense course, new topics and ways of doing things.
I was applying to college when unfortunately, the college I wanted to go to stopped taking secondary schooling students. So, when I started looking into other options. I remembered seeing a lot of She Codes adds a lot on YouTube a year ago and thought it was really cool, but I had other plans till I didn't. So, I looked into it. Surprised by how reasonable the prices were and read a bunch of reviews. And decided to just go for it. A leap that I'm glad I took. I really liked the pacing of the lessons and how I was able to fit them into my schedule while working full time. It was easy and hard at the same time, but I wrote a lot of notes. I found it really fun to tweak everything and kept having to remind myself when I got frustrated. That I only started learning a little while ago. But I kept at it and was surprised to see how much I learned in such a short time.
