I didn't have any coding experience going into this workshop. I was afraid i would not understand anything but Matt and the SheCodes team made everything easy to learn. This workshop has awakened a passion for coding within me.
I have been a fan of the work of everyone at SheCodes since last year, 2023. With everyone's testimony of how they loved the different SheCodes coding workshops, i got the courage to apply and join the WomenInTech statistic. This is by far my most favourite coding workshop and Matt delivers his videos and homework in such a way that it is easy to understand but also challenges to put our best foot forward. Grateful to be part of the SheCodes Foundation where I learned about the Basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the beginners course. One aspect I particularly appreciated was the challenge activities on every end of the lesson allowing me to apply the concepts I had learned before proceeding to the next lesson. This is an amazing intro into coding for anyone who has never done it before, no matter the age (I just turned 50). With the step by step videos and the encouragement to discover assistance from fellow students or the web, this course will give you a great foundation to continue learning or finding an entry level job.
This was a fun add-on to the basics course. I enjoyed having the opportunity to dive further into web design with colour schemes and animations, and I'm looking forward to continuing through the workshops.

Very challenging yet fun, the challenges really challenged me and will go back to a few just for further practice however this workshop was really informative and mind blowing. Although I was a bit behind schedule I'm proud to have completed it. There are some challenges I'm yet to practice on my own to test my understanding.

The course was great and I learnt a lot about react. It was a great experience doing this bootcamp and I thank Matt for explaining everything in very good and easy way. I had a lot of fun! I never knew what coding is. Currently I have been able to carry out projects on css, html and javascript. This was one of the greatest learning experiences of my life. all the concepts were explained in detail.
It was definitely a step up from the basic course however, it was so rewarding when you got the code right and understood it.

As a psychology graduate, I was feeling lost and discouraged after university, having difficulties finding a job it felt like I made the wrong decision.
