This basic workshop was great. Gives you many "basic" tips and tricks for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It was nice to work at my own pace, but yet have deadlines (or extensions if needed).
SheCodes Basic was a great intro to coding. It provided the building blocks needed for beginners to learn concepts in a convenient and exciting way This program provided me the ability to learn Javascript, CSS, and HTML in under a month and I am forever grateful.
I’m super grateful for these workshops! I never thought I would be able to code but from each lesson, I have continued to tear down that notion. I’m excited to continue the next workshops!!
I absolutely loved this this workshop! Instructor Matt Delac really knows how to make things easy and simple to understand. The community is also so warm and welcoming. What a lovely environment to be a part of. I am definitely signing up for SheCodes Plus. I honestly had so much fun during these past 3 weeks!

When I joined SheCodes, I had zero coding experience, and Matt made coding so easy to learn. I love the way the lessons are divided into short videos, and they give a new activity in almost every lesson to put into practice what has been learned and makes it easier to memorize the information. I'm very proud of everything I've learned so far. And I can't wait to learn more.
Great course to learn about responsiveness
I came into this workshop with ZERO experience in coding, and I'm so proud of what I've learned so far! Anyone sitting on the fence, PLEASE take the plunge, you'll learn a lot and it's a great skill set to have! There's many resources to get help, and if someone as tech-challenged as me could get into it, anybody could!
More than happy with this course! In the past few weeks, I've learned SO much about front end development, and can't wait to work on more projects.
With zero prior coding knowledge I watched the free coding video to see what coding is all about. I was instantly interested so I took part in the SheCodes basics course. The whole experience was exciting, fun, and difficult at times . Matt's a brilliant educator, his teaching style enabled a smooth this transition into the coding world for me. Credits to technical support and the supportive students at Slack. This is just the start for me, I look forward to learning more in the upcoming course.
I love the pace of the classes and how the challenges build with each lesson. The final assignment really pulls together all of the lessons and helps with repetition of content. I feel really positive about learning to code and I hope many other women join.
Not only I learned a lot but I had a really fun time with the class and I found myself looking forward to work on the next lessons.

Now that I have completed the SheCodes Plus workshop I am fully aware of my capabilities as a coder. It was amazing to see what I am capable of and it was all thanks to Matt's simple and direct way of teaching. This course had inspired me to continue pursuing frontend development.
This was a great course to learn new skills like API integration to use real life data, learning how to use github and pushing changes to your code, and having netlify to host your work. On top of that having people to help us on the side whenever our code was doing something different or whichever questions we may have had. I'm glad I was able to learn more throughout these couple of weeks.

I absolutely loved this workshop. I learned so much during this process and I absolutely loved the final project that we got to do. Building the Weather App was such a fun experience and it really taught me a lot about my abilities and was a great learning experience at filling in the gaps. I really appreciated all the feed back that I got from the instructors and Matt gave great information in the lecture videos.
I like the layout of these workshops. They allow you to work at your own pace, and access help quickly when you need it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to brush up on their basic coding or improve their skills.

I learned JavaScript with a different program, and it wasn’t as hands on as SheCodes. I really like the fact that SheCodes is very hands on.

I looooved this course! I've tried taking coding courses online before and I always found they lacked structure and ended up not seeing them through. The homework and project deadlines were exactly what I needed. Plus, Matt teaches in a very clear and concise way that makes it easy to understand new concepts. I can't wait to get started with SheCodes Plus.

The SheCodes Basics workshop was exactly what I was looking for. I began other courses that failed to introduce the material at a basic level and found myself struggling to keep up. I loved how simple and engaging the course was structured! At first, I was intimidated by learning how to code, but being able to understand the logic behind and go through the challenges made me see how amazing coding is. It really hooked me!
I've learned more coding in this course than I thought possible! Getting the chance to finally add onto the basics that I learned when I was younger is really rewarding. I can't wait to continue learning!
Love how simple and user friendly the SheCodes website is. Also found the cheat sheets/resources to be extremely helpful - especially the gradients and palettes. I didn't rate SheCodes 5 stars because I feel that the lessons are taught too quickly. Perhaps it's my type of learning preference, however I believe more practice between lessons would be beneficial.
Another course that didn't let me down. I thought that I had learnt a lot before start the Responsive Workshop, but Matt Delac and SheCodes keep always surprising me, even more. So grateful for what I've learned! We keep going! 3/4!!!

Absolutely loved it. Although enrolled in a full time university course, it was very possible to conclude the course. It's well structured, videos are not overwhelmingly long, the topics are broken down in a logic manner and it teaches you how to think about coding.

The SheCodes React workshop was amazing! It has honestly been my favourite workshop out of all of them! The structure of this workshop made learning react very easy, interesting and enjoyable! There are many opportunities to practice and apply what you have learned. The support is great, and no question goes unanswered.
I really enjoyed SheCodes React: At the end of this course, I'm willing to learn more and do more! I was super happy to discover React after Vanilla Javascript :-) Also, the 2 projects are very interesting: different APIs, different problematics... It was so easy for me to learn how to code, the videos were extremely helpful and I can't wait to enter a field with this information.
SheCodes has made it possible for me to learn essential front-end tools quickly and properly. With each new course the material levels up in difficulties but SheCodes still makes the information easily digestible.
With each week I can feel myself becoming more comfortable and confident with skills developing at a good pace. During the SheCodes+ I have found some parts challenging and in need of persistence, but that has just made the learning and understanding of the topic all the more rewarding. An enjoyable short course with many tips for making websites responsive to different devices as well as SEO friendly. Having the opportunity of working from a figma design for the final project was very fun and useful too.
This was my third SheCodes workshop, and I loved it! The final project we were learning to build was so much fun and so useful. I come out of this journey, not only with knowledge on how to make a website responsive but also with a portfolio I can update and use to share my work!
I had a lot of fun with this. I do suggest you get a reference book, to look up somethings without having to Google or ask on Slack
This was my second workshop and I can recommend it as much as the first one. Especially the option to get in touch with the team directly when I was stuck, proved itself to be very beneficial along the way.
One of the best basic coding classes I've attended. I've never been so far into a coding course and understood so much. The community is so supportive as well as whenever I'm stuck, first of all, there is no judgement, and second of all, the community would gladly assist me. It's an overall positive group which really makes a big difference in my learning. I'm glad I enrolled myself with SheCodes and am looking to further enhance my coding knowledge!
SheCodes Basics was a lovely way to be introduced into the world of coding. The video tutorials were incredibly easy to follow, and you're also given the source code so you don't have to worry about frantically taking notes. The Challenges along the way ensured that you understood the material and served as a useful checkpoint. I genuinely enjoyed my first coding experience!
I had so much fun during the coding process, the classes were very simple to understand. Coding isn't as hard as they make it sound. The best part was working on my project.
Doing all the workshops I like React workshop the most. It was very challenging. My journey with coding will not end just here with SheCodes React. I will do my best to keep learning. Because it is plenty to learn still. I am highly recommended to any woman to do them all from basic, plus, responsive, and react. Learning is key!!!.

In every one eyes coding is a big world full of complications! Here, SheCodes made this world understandable. you can go forward step by step, not confused with hard phrases. No word is said by Matt and left undefined, every thing is clear here. Highly recommended to absolute beginners.
Such a fun class to get started with coding! I enjoyed all of the lessons and projects, and I feel more confident about my ability to dive in deeper after learning the basics.
The workshop is not bad for someone who's just starting! I've taken an HTML class in college and I feel like there's a lot of information left out to know. But I'm trying to remain optimistic since I know this is just the basics workshop. If you don't plan on taking any workshop past the basics, I suggest you watch more videos on YouTube, Udemy, or read an HTML and CSS basics. Extra outside resources is always good!
SheCodes has become a platform for me to believe anyone can do coding as a beginner even without a computer background. I am proud that I took SheCodes basic which gave me confidence and can do attitude. All you need is interest and determination to do coding.

I had had ZERO experience with coding before I had the opportunity to do the SheCodes workshop and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The way Matt explains it in the videos is really comprehendable for everyone. I myself am just a musician but was capable of learning something so much different and I love it. I'm really considering buying the next course! Although for a non-working student it might be a bit tough haha
SheCodes basic provides easy-to-follow content for absolute beginners. Having the capability to play lectures over when necessary is a big plus that gives flexibility. Self past on the topic works well when you are a working professional that want to expand their knowledge and try something new :) Slack responsiveness on problems is astonishing and very well received - so impressed. SheCodes workshop leads me step by step through the learning process. The challenges after lessons initiate me to experiment, look for answers and go through the trial and error for the solution. It is brilliant.

I really enjoyed taking the SheCodes Basic Workshop. Learning a new skill I never in a million years thought I would do. I wanted to try something completely new from what I do for work on a daily basis since I have worked in the same field since I graduated college (10+years). The lectures are super easy to follow and I was able to troubleshoot most of my coding issues myself or by using the slack channel. I highly recommend anyone that is on the fence about this program to give it a try.
I never thought that coding can be so exciting. It is very addictive. Once I start it is not easy to finish. The lessons are very easy to follow and the whole course is built together very well. I am glad that I started this journey.
