Learning how to build a multi-page website via SheCodes Responsive has been such a beneficial experience. Not only am I able to start applying what I've learnt onto simple web design jobs — I'm also able to showcase my portfolio on a website that can be counted as a project of itself too! 😄
I really enjoyed this program. The videos are well-detailed and helpful; during the difficult moments when my code breaks up/won't run, going back to calmly re-watch the videos, repeatedly if necessary, always helped me to identify my mistakes. I truly appreciate Matt and his team. They have done a very good work here.
I really liked having videos and challenges, not just plain text that needs to be followed precisely.
I would highly recommend SheCodes and I'm so happy that I took the leap to dive into the world of coding! I've always found coding very intimidating and hard to get into. However Matt really breaks down and explains each lesson articulately so it's easy to understand. Then doing the challenges really helps solidify that I understood each lesson. I've really enjoyed SheCodes Basics! Can't wait to start the next workshop!

This has been by far the best virtual class I have taken. The structure of the classes, homework, slack channels etc. are really amazing. The only thing I would change about it is a few of the videos. I found only a small number of the videos a bit confusing and I would go back a few times to watch them again and again ... I thought they could be better edited and explained at times.
I am so happy to improve myself as a developer.
This course has shown me how capable I am at starting this new road to web development. The material is beginner friendly, easy to follow, and manageable with a full time job. SheCodes has a super supportive group with knowledgeable people. I am proud of myself to be able to create something of my own.

SheCodes is amazing. In just 3 weeks I've felt like I've gotten a good foundation on the basics of HTML, CSS, and JS. I honestly cannot wait to jump into the next level and keep learning. I was a bit fearful at the beginning but everytime I did the challenges I became more and more invested in coding. It was an interesting journey and I never expected how fun coding can be!
This is my third workshop. It incorporated and added to the knowledge acquired in the prior 2. I can't say that I enjoyed all of it, but I certainly learned a lot. It is intensive. But it did get easier as I proceeded through the course.
LOVED it! So much helpful, I've been able from the first week to use my knowledge into my job. Thank you!
My confidence in coding has increased significantly- just with this basic workshop. I appreciate how you already dive into both HTML and CSS at the same time. I was brand new to JavaScript. It can be challenge in understanding the logic and syntaxes but man once it clicks...it clicks! I am already looking forward to the next workshops!
Learning to code with SheCodes has been so fun and engaging! I have definitely learnt way more than I would have trying to teach myself. The videos and exercises are great and having support on hand when you run into an issue really helps you advance at a good pace!
I had a lot of fun coding for 3 weeks. The lesson videos are well-structured and not too long, followed by cool challenges. Finally, my first project is completed successfully :)

I cannot believe that I am officially a SheCodes graduate! These past few months have been a fun learning experience, although tough at times. It's great having these projects as proof of our knowledge, and I am excited to see what my coding future holds. I studied graphic designing and I am currently living in Minnesota. I am absolutely new to coding but I was always curious to know how code works and I decided to take my curiosity to a step ahead and decided to learn code 😊.
I was able to learn at my own pace, which was perfect! I have a full-time job and trying to balance my current job with learning to code seemed like it couldn't be done. Thanks to SheCodes I have been able to start the process and enjoy every step of the way!
I really enjoyed this course and learning react. It was not the easiest to learn, but Matt is very good at explaining and helping people learn at their own pace. I would definitely recommend this course to any beginners.
I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!
I'm very excited to be on this journey and to begin my next chapter of life!🙌🏽

This workshop has helped me immensely because of its flexibility and it being online. I've gained back a lot of confidence in my skills and it's genuinely very well made! I didn't use the slack community much as I didn't need it but I think it's very well structured for absolute beginners, and to make them feel less intimidated by coding💖
I had so much fun during this course. I really enjoyed learning about responsive web design. Finishing the portfolio project was extremely rewarding, and it was so cool to go through the process of making my project look good on all devices. Such a good platform to learn coding for beginners. I joined when I knew nothing about programming, now I know it is fun. Able to gain a lot of knowledge from you. Your way of teaching is easy to understand.

After finishing SheCodes Plus I was not sure whether I should do SheCodes Responsive or SheCodes React first. I'm glad I decided to do SheCodes Responsive first to slow down and focus on the design aspect and learn more about optimizing sizing of pages for certain devices. I am excited and nervous to move on to SheCodes React but I am excited to update my portfolio with new projects!
SheCodes Basic was such a great and encouraging experience! I had no prior knowledge of coding, but Matt broke each topic down in an understandable and manageable way. Each new piece of information was reinforced with an engaging challenge that helped to solidify the information. Challenging and enjoyable!
I had a really great time learning with SheCodes. There were times when I was a bit frustrated but I pushed through and got my work done. I managed to have a friend who is a dev for 11 years help me along the way which I owe alot to him for the help! I could not have done it with out him!
I really enjoyed everything about this. Coming into this with no prior experience and little to no knowledge, I was super intimidated at first but after getting though this first workshop, I feel SO confident to continue on. I'm glad I made this decision.

It's a really great course. The explanations are very clear and the videos help a lot to see how everything works. Even though it's challenging, I find the practical side of the course a great addition. If you don't practice and see for yourself how everything works, you don't learn enough.

SheCodes has helped me in so many ways I didn't expect. I've been able to further my coding career and knowledge at my own pace with the help of some awesome coders. I feel more confident in myself after every challenge knowing I can write my own functioning code and fix it when the need arises.
I really enjoyed SheCodes Plus, JS is so much fun and there are endless possibilities in both HTML and CSS! I also like the lessons held by Matt and the possibility to work at my own pace. Also, I appreciate the help from the support team on Slack! can't wait for the next level :)
I have always been interested in learning to code, however, I never thought it was something I could do because I don't have a master's in computer science. I have learned and understood the basics of coding from the SheCodes course.

SheCodes Basic was perfect for an absolute beginner. The lessons were very well structured with the explanation, homework, and then solution. If a question needed answering, the Slack channel contained all previous questions asked/answered and also allowed for help from others.

As an absolute coding beginner, and someone who normally gravitates towards live-taught courses, I was very impressed with how easy it was to follow along with the video lessons. I only had a couple of questions throughout the workshop, and I was able to find the answers on the very active Slack threads, where the support team are very responsive. Looking forward to the next workshop.

SheCodes Responsive has been a fantastic introduction to responsive web design! The lessons are very clear and easy to understand, and the challenges really help put what you learn into practice. I've been using what I have learned in this workshop daily in my role as a software developer! I'm so thankful to SheCodes for everything they have taught me! The community is exceptionally friendly and supportive, and I've met so many amazing people through SheCodes. You can bet that if there is ever a new workshop in the future I will be signing up as quick as I can! I wouldn't want to learn from anyone else!
SheCodes Responsive is the workshop where everything truly comes together. I used everything I have learned so far, in SheCodes Basics and Plus and combined it with Responsive to build my portfolio project. It is very satisfying to see how much I achieved since I started learning, and it all thanks to the SheCodes workshops. :)
SheCodes courses are just perfect kick off for people who want to start with coding from the beginning. I really appreciate challenges and homework with deadlines because this system keeps me in the process of learning, which is IMO extremely important.

Aside from learning about coding, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and using them in practice, my biggest takeaway of this workshop is understanding the "magic" that happens behind every single page that we navigate through on our daily lives.
I've really enjoyed learning all the different ways to code over the last few months, and SheCodes makes it easy with intuitive instructions to guide you every step of the way. I can't wait to integrate this knowledge into my personal and professional life!
Matt is really good at his explanation: clear yet simple to easily understand. I think anyone with Excel skills (especially skills in functions) is likely to have advantages of understanding Javascript & CSS quicker since they share some similarities.
I have been thinking about learning to code for more than 10 years but, always felt too overwhelmed or too intimidated to start. SheCodes Basics was an amazingly fun, and exciting workshop to give you a taste of front-end web development. I am absolutely hooked. I am signing up for SheCodes Pro to continue my learning and I cannot be more excited. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team for making this experience so wonderful and I look forward to what is next.
when I started this program I was very scared and at one point I asked myself if I am going to be able. It has not been easy with the help of the teachers it was successful and I want to thank all of them for always being there to answer my questions thank you.
Due to time constraints, I haven't been able to fully enjoy this workshop. That said, I did enjoy the break it provided from school and work, but I felt like I weren't able to be creative "enough" this time around. SheCodes were amazing as per usual though! I'm very happy that I chose to do these workshops, as I probably wouldn't have been able to allocate time for front-end coding on my own, without SheCodes deadlines to spur me on :) Thanks!

I liked the fact that I could be attendign classes, in my own rythm, and also make the workshops some days later than the deadline, which gave me a lot of room to work with.

After finishing SheCodes Basic I immediately started with SheCodes Plus. Eager to learn more I completed the course and gain so much valuable knowledge in just a couple of weeks. From Bootstrap to Hosting and working with APIs. It was definitely challenging at times, but so much worth it seeing my weather app come to life. I can only recommend it!
I would highly recommend SheCodes basic to anyone interested in coding. It was a great start to coding. It completely changed the way I thought about it for many years. I really enjoyed how the lessons are broken down into many sessions, followed by a challenge which allows me to better understand and digest the content.

When I decided to try out SheCodes, I was hoping to refresh my memory on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. My experience with coding has mostly been using more object-oriented languages like Java and Python. More than expected, I was able to build a much better responsive website through the SheCodes workshop compared to when I first started. It was nice to relearn the basics and it helped me discover a passion for responsive web design. I hope to build on more from what I learned here and see where it takes me.
