The lessons are really fun and easy to follow. I had a lot of fun creating my own website for the final project.
SheCodes is a very good address for women to develop coding skills. I highly recommend this for people who want to change their life.
I have never coded in my life until this workshop and I found it to be super understandable. Each lesson was mainly followed by a practice right after which helped greatly. The final project was fun and enjoyable even though I stumbled upon a few challenges. Great way to introduce yourself to coding!
Should a product owner know how to code? - No. Does general understanding of coding is beneficial? - Definitely yes!
It was a long, challenging but really interesting experience of coding. And I am soooo grateful that it was Matt and all SheCodes team that guided me trough all the challenges, supported anytime I needed and motivated to move forward. Thank you so much!
I learned a lot from the basic workshop I took. It seemed like a lot of information because I'm very new to coding, but it was interesting, easy to learn and the assignments/homework were fun to do. If you're on the fence about taking this course, just do it, it's a great way to find if coding is right for you. I'm looking forward to learning more in a more advanced workshop.

I learnt a lot, and the course is very challenging. I do feel that some more complex areas were glossed over a bit. Although these concepts were shown/explained in the main project videos, I think it would have benefitted with more 'lessons' to demonstrate these methods more clearly so that I could get a bettter grasp of them, instead jumping straight into the projects so soon. I will definitely need to re-visit the videos again.

I never would have thought I'd learn so much in such a small space of time! The projects are really fun and interesting, and key processes are repeated, so you find yourself becoming familiar with writing React code and debugging quickly. I'll really miss this journey! Thank you SheCodes team! :)
SheCodes basic workshop was fun but I know there is still a lot of things I need to learn at upcoming workshops. Can not wait for it.
I am so surprised with how much I learned over these 3 weeks! The course is explained well and is a very good introduction. My husband is a web developer and is impressed with my knowledge and use of html, css, and javascript.
React is not an easy technology and in the beggining I was having a hard time getting used to it, but when you get the hang of it, it's great! I did this course while working and still didn't feel very tired because the way it is structured allows you to go at your own pace but to still have clear objectives. For people who want to learn how to code and have no experience, this is a great place to learn. Matt and the team are great, always ready to help.
It was a lot of fun, especially learning all the responsive tipps and tricks. Loved the final project, it was great to work quite free and creative on your own website 🙌
I learned so much in just three weeks - I had a basic knowledge of coding before, but now I have a deeper understanding of how all websites work. It was a great experience!
Loved this course! I'm utterly shocked at how much I've learned and my new capabilities! I appreciate the ability to take breaks/ask for extensions, it really lets you learn at your own pace since life can strike at any moment. I took this class to get into web development and I know I have more to learn but I'm excited and confident in my new skillset.
Great course for beginners, or in my case great course to dust off that college material
I didn't have a concrete reason to start learning code, but when I saw the Instagram ad for the free seminar I was intrigued and had to try it out. Turns out - I love coding! The SheCodes team have put together a very well organized course in introductory coding that is easy to follow and has a great outcome. I'm excited to continue with the next step of the SheCodes journey 🙋🏻♀️

you may not believe me if i say i learned lots of things in just 3 weeks and everything was fun! i enjoyed doing every single challenge and project and the whole lesson was really useful for me so I could work on my own ideas too! :)
The whole course was so well structured, that it was a pleasure for me to go through all the lessons, complete my challenges, and improve from the suggested solutions from Matt. For me, as a newbie, it was a great way to learn how to code some basics and it will definitely help me in my everyday work-life as a Digital Marketing Manager. SheCodes responsive is very very fun! I enjoyed so much my final project, creating a webpage just for myself. I have many ideas for it and I was able to achieve my page just the way I wanted it! I am satisfied!

Can't believe I just completed my 4th SheCodes Workshop! This has been a wonderful experience and I have grown so much. I can recommend this course for motivated beginners! The videos are great and the regular exercises enable you to really learn the material.
I was really excited to do React, but I was also a bit intimidated. Javascript is something I try to understand through application, and even then it's difficult when there are so many sources around me. I think this workshop was great, fun, and informative!
Matt has taught me coding in a way that I feel everyone can easily learn. I am so excited to pursue a career in computer science and feel very grateful to have come across SheCodes to allow me to do so. Thank you! 😇

I love SheCodes! I was really nervous before starting this workshop, because I knew nothing about coding! But Matt's lessons were so easy to follow and the challenges were really fun to complete! Now thanks to SheCodes, I've discovered a new hobby, and possibly a stepping stone to a career related to coding 😁.
I really enjoyed the freedom of learning on my own schedule. With SheCodes I was able to start on any Monday of the month. I really enjoyed how Matt took the time to help us solve the problem, without feeling rushed. As a person that is new to UX Design, I found this workshop to be helpful in learning basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
The SheCodes course perfectly pairs learning and practice. It's extremely helpful for any beginners out there who are interested in learning more about coding.
SheCodes made it easy to understand and learn. Even when I had troubles their program 'slack' was very useful.

This has been an amazing experience! I have taking some coding classes while getting my Engineering degree and couldn't grasp it to well. SheCodes has turned that around for me. I cannot wait to continue my journey with the rest of the SheCodes workshops and see what more I can do! I highly recommend these workshops!

I've now gotten to complete all of the currently available SheCodes Courses and I have had an amazing time learning how to use HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, and JS React. I can't wait to keep moving forward, thank you Matt and team!

SheCodes Basics has been really wonderful. I got to learn basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript and put all those knowledge in use while working on the project. The challenges at the end of each lesson really test your understanding which I feel was very helpful. I would definitely encourage women who are thinking in terms of coding to try the Basics workshop. It is fun, enjoyable and you get to learn actual coding !!!
I loved SheCodes so much! Matt made it so easy to learn the basics of front-end development. The lessons are very short and digestible, but long enough to get all the necessary information needed to complete your challenges and homework. The project was SO fun and I found it very easy to apply what I've learned to create my page. I'll definitely be taking a more advanced course in the future.
SheCodes has been an amazing journey. SheCodes Basics has simply been the best place for me to actually learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. We used real tools, and thus got to work in the environment that professionals operate in. Lessons are very hands-on and you need to use the knowledge you've learnt in a lesson in the next challenge, so you have to pay attention. It is no problem though, because Matt keeps it very fun, up-beat and engaging. I would highly recommend SheCodes for any girl/woman/lady+++ who wants to learn how to code.

These weeks have been challenging, humbling too, intense, and super fun! SheCodes and Matt make this journey a very special experience, and I dare to say-life changing. The 'ecossystem' created-the team support, the community of coders, the radio to keep you motivated, and SheCodes Foundation are remarkable, they state an example for other companies. Highly recommend SheCodes Basics, it requires some time management if you're working too, but it is totally manageable, so take the risk, you definitely won't regret it.
I enjoyed working on my project, though it was a bit challenging, because while coding, i still had to work and also nurse my 3month old baby. But in all i enjoyed it because i worked on something i would like to be a reality.
This was my last workshop with SheCodes and a great addition to the Basics, Plus and React. Building responsive websites is the future. You will learn so many new things. I highly recommend it as Matt explains everything in detail and the final project is so much fun.

This Workshop was really challenging with many new things to learn but also to remember from the previous workshops. It's nedded to be totally focus, but I really liked it. This will be the base to learn and practice more and hopefully become in a really good web developer to find better job oportunities.

It was so interesting journey with SheCodes Basics. Before I thought it can be difficult and boring for me,but I was completely wrong.Sometime I was confused about CSS or JavaScript but I always found help in our Slack chat and step by step I learn how to code. I always thought coding was beyond me as it looked quite complex and overwhelming at first, but going through the course SheCodes Basics by Matt you learn step by step and break it down into smaller chunks. To me, it is liken to putting puzzle pieces together to form that bigger picture you had in mind! I highly recommend it as it challenges you to be creative and persevering. Also, it definitely opens up new doors for your career! 😁
I've tried many coding tutorials in the past, but SheCodes teaches material in a way that is fun and engaging. The material is taught in a manner where the student is not overburdened with trivial technicalities but given the necessary tools to explore and create projects that correlate well with real-world use cases. I'm very excited to make use of my skills, and I've learned more in 3 weeks than I ever did 6 months into so called web development courses.

I had so much fun learning to code! I loved how organized the weeks were, divided by each lesson and a lot of information below the video and also the challenges were great to practice. Simply amazing! I cant believe I learned how to code a basic webpage in two and a half weeks. The last time I ever manipulated a HTML was to add music on MySpace in 2005. I did not think that I would be able to pick up this skill so quickly but with Matt's guidance and thorough explanation through each solution I was able to practice and produce a functional visible code starting from a blank page.
This is a great course that not only teaches you the basics in short, easy to follow video lessons, but also gives you the chance to practice and test your new knowledge. A very practical and useful course that I'm sure will help me develop the e-commerce side of my business!

I’ve always wanted to learn web development and chose SheCodes because it allowed me to learn anytime. As a full time working parent, finding an online course that I could fit into my schedule was really important. I was able to learn a lot and put it together to create project, something I wasn’t able to do with other online tutorials. Matthew does a great job of explaining everything. I would highly recommend.

In my opinion, SheCodes Course 1 helps entry level students with basics tools in JS, CSS and HTML. Those tools are useful if you would like to become a developer, mostly front end developer. Maybe, you should offer others types of knowledge, such as specialist's interviews into front end development, career talks, etc... just a suggest :)
This workshop was a great introduction to coding! I appreciated the flexibility to work on the course as my own pace, and the video instruction was clear and easy to understand.
Decided to take this course on a whim to learn a new skill and I'm very glad I did. I've had so much fun during this course! Classes were very easy to follow and explained curriculum very well. Can't wait to start the Plus part of the course!
SheCodes is the only program i have been able to grow as a coder. I tried other programs which were either too complicated or the tutors too unavailable. Am very grateful for such a platform to women. The interface is welcoming and the tutor very committed.Love it.
