Entering the SheCodes Basics Add-On course with a foundational understanding of web development, I was seeking to elevate my skills to the next level, and this course did not disappoint. It provided a structured and comprehensive deep dive into CSS and HTML, which was exactly what I needed to progress from basic to more advanced concepts. The CSS Grids module was particularly impactful. While I had a basic grasp of CSS, the course's in-depth exploration of Grids enabled me to construct sophisticated, responsive layouts confidently. This skill was a significant leap forward from my initial understanding and has been instrumental in enhancing the professionalism of my web design projects. Another area where I experienced considerable growth was in CSS transforms. This part of the course added a new dimension to my skillset, allowing me to incorporate engaging animations and dynamic elements into my web designs, something I had previously only touched upon. Additionally, the course's focus on HTML class manipulation refined my approach to structuring web pages. It improved my efficiency and effectiveness in styling and organizing content, a vital skill in clean, scalable web development. The hands-on approach of SheCodes, combined with practical exercises, allowed me to apply these new skills in real-world projects, solidifying my learning and boosting my confidence. Now, I approach web development with a stronger skill set, ready to tackle more complex projects with a creative and technical edge. The course was a crucial stepping stone in my ongoing web development journey.
I'm able to walk away from this workshop with a fully functional weather forecast application. It was a good introduction to everything that goes into building a basic page, however, I think this workshop could prove tricky if you do not have a technical background as there is a lot of self-learning.
Great workshop! The additonal lessons were a lot of fun, especially when adding some cool features to your page like theme changes and image transforms. It was great to learn how to improve user interaction with the landing pages we created.
I enjoyed the last hurdle of making the weather app bringing everything I've learnt together with real data using API integration.

Following on from SheCodes Basic, I was ready for another challenge. Making the Vanilla Weather App with SheCodes Plus has been challenging but I've been able to use the support system on SheCodes Slack to assess any problems I couldn't figure out by myself and I am really proud of my Weather App!

For a long time i wasn't sure what i wanted to do and i tried so many things. I knew always that my love was towards computers and technology. I tried a couple of times to learn programming by myself, but sadly it was so overwhelming and chaotic. Also i didn't have anyone to share my questions or my troubles which made it very frustrating and underwhelming. After 2 years and my life being not very easy i was thinking about my future and what i really love. And the answer was always there: Coding. But i was afraid and i didn't know how to start, till i found out about SheCodes and this amazing community with a really friendly CEO and an incredible teacher, Matt, who helped me found my passion again and this time in a very solid way. My journey won't stop here with the Basic Course, rather the opposite. My journey has just started. ☺

I really loved and enjoyed the SheCodes Basic workshop because the workshop has enabled me to learn the basic fundamentals of coding at my own pace. I enjoyed doing the challenges and homework. The lessons were really to understand and I got really learn a lot.
I have received support from your boot camp by your team and also from students from slack chats. This boot camp allowed me to think independently. Through projects and after lesson challenges it showed me that I can achieve everything I set my mind to. Slack chats allowed me to work in team with students on slack chats to solve code. This is indeed a great code learning platform.🙂

I really enjoyed the opportunity to keep building skills in HTML and CSS, as well as diving into more challenging JavaScript. The weather app isn't easy to build, but it's a lot of fun!

SheCodes Responsive has brought my coding game to the next level! My whole Shecodes journey has been an incredible experience. A few months I pined after website that were built like this and thought it would take me years to get there. But here I am! I cannot wait to start SheCodes React and take that next step on my coding journey.

Coding has been something that I have longed to learn for a while. Previously I followed many youtube video but because i did not know which one is the correct path I ended up getting discouraged and stopped. Today I'm super proud of myself for completing the first step to my journey of becoming a Front-End developer. I am very thankful to Matt and the SheCodes team for bringing me this opportunity. With Matt's step by step explanations I managed to learn many new things and applied them to the exercises that we are given. The explanations are so clear and straight forward. It has been such an amazing journey. I'm looking forward to the next step.

I've really enjoyed the SheCodes Plus workshop. Mattheau is really good at explaining everything and has a great logic on how to introduce and relate each topic in a way that it all makes sense and is easy to understand. The workshop is well paced and structured. I work a full time job but still I was able to complete the SheCodes Plus in less than 5 weeks. I was totally new to coding and it´s been a challenge at times to understand some of the things Matt has been asking me to do! But it´s also been a lot of fun and it´s so rewarding to see my finished project. I´ve definitely caught the coding bug, and will be looking for new challenges to hone my skills. I´ d definitely recommend to anyone completely new to coding - the step by step videos, challenges and solutions are a great way to learn.
SheCodes is fantastic. I've really enjoyed the step-by-step tutorials, and have managed to fit my learning alongside looking after a 9 month old baby. It was one of the most challenging and at the same time, satisfying workshops for me. Learning REACT with SheCodes TEAM was the most rewarding challenge that I've ever did in this beautiful and interesting tech journey. I've already learned so much from the basics course, I'm excited to learn more with all of She Code's courses. I had limited knowledge in coding before the class, and was fairly intimidated by JavaScript, but I feel now that I have a better grasp on functions.
This one was a challenging one but I enjoyed it! It helped me to solidify all the concepts learnt about react. I liked that we used more than one api on the project.
My coding journey has been so successful over the past few months, and I've enjoyed it so much that I have decided to change career paths and concentrate on building my career in Tech! I've previously been too intimidated to dive into some of these more popular frameworks for fear of them going totally over my head. It was so easy to learn since it was broken up into tiny steps with lots of opportunities to practice the concepts of the week!
I am a beginner and before the course had zero knowledge in coding, but Matt explained everything step by step knowing what mistakes beginners usually do and prevented them. I really like it! Matt makes coding really really fun and exciting. I also like that all the challenges really require a bit of Google or analyzing, not just re-creacting stuff. This is how I have learnt something extra stuff. I also like that after every challenge we can watch a solution and there is always something new there. Thank you so much! Can't wait to keep learning!

No word can express how grateful I am for SheCodes. I've learned coding via various courses throughout the years but was never able to finish them as I found them too complicated. SheCodes simplified coding for me.
I took a break between responsive and the add-on, which wasn't the best thing for continued development! But I was so glad that the classes made it easy for me to get back on the horse, and what I really appreciate is Matt not stopping and starting the video when something doesn't go his way. Seeing how he solves his frustrations and knowing that it happens to us all is super reassuring, thanks team!

I really enjoyed this workshop and will definitely join another one soon. I didn't think coding would be something I could ever do, but little by little I've learned! I appreciate the fact that this is self paced as I have a busy work schedule.
You learn every day and Matt really takes you through the process of a developer. This is definitely the best way I've learnt to code and seeing the results of my project on my phone and laptop screen is all the more exciting!

Acquired top coding skills
In the SheCodes Plus addon project, we got to create a World Clock page with real dates/times using moments.js. I am really happy and proud of my learning so far once again looking forward to the next challenge. 👩💻
SheCodes Plus was so fun! I was so stoked to have created my very own live website! There were a couple times where I didn't understand the JavaScript, but rewatching the videos helped so much! Matt really explains the JavaScript thought process so well & he's not super technical with his explanation so anyone can understand him. I like how he mentions the common mistakes & he vocalizes his thought process even when the coding goes wrong - it reassuring. 😅 hehe. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes Plus, but I still feel like there is plenty more to learn! Can't wait for the next workshop! - Happy Coder 😁

I liked the way the code gets fractioned- in components. It was difficult at first for me to separate code into components. Once I understood the separation, it became very easy to go over difficult concepts until I mastered them. Thank you SheCodes team.
My Experience with SheCodes was amazing 10/10 highly recommend.
After completing Shecodes basics, I had to keep going and push myself. After completing plus, I feel incredibly accomplished. This program was tough to understand at first but there was no easier way to learn than under Matt's guidance. I had all the resources I needed to be successful. I was not thrown to the wolves. I will continue on my Shecodes journey here and keep learning and growing. I absolutely love these programs and I am excited for the doors this new knowledge will open for me.
I loved taking this course! It is the right amount of simplicity, challenging and fun!!! The videos are well thought out for you to understand just about everything and get you thinking critically on how to do some lessons. Slack is very helpful for referencing questions from other students. Knowing you will receive help from staff within 2 days is also very comforting. You are not alone on your coding journey.

I had not even a single clue about HTML , CSS and Java Script. but now I'm able to navigate the basics quite well.
I absolutely loved SheCodes Responsive, creating a portfolio was a much more interactive experience using the knowledge I learned in the previous courses. I decided to go for the photography portfolio to showcase some of my pictures taken over the years. With my previous knowledge, I was able to build a responsive website which also looked good! This project was one of the most exciting ones, as I was able to show what I am passionate about.
I truly enjoyed the Basics Add-On project. The step-by-step instruction really helps out when you get lost. "Dark theme" was challenging for me, but I continued rewriting the code until it worked out.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the SheCodes program. I was looking for something to help me switch careers while enjoying the process. I love being a bartender, but the night shifts and no weekends off aren't stable long-term. When I found SheCodes, I was worried about how hard it would be, but the clear explanations made it enjoyable. I love coming home from work and diving into my studies. Switching careers now feels exciting, and I can't wait to start the higher-level courses. I'm really enjoying it!
