This was an awesome dive into coding! My biggest compliments to Matt for creating such a cool corner of the internet! I loved being able to go at my own pace but however have the consistent encouragement to stay on track. This program got me so interested in Coding that I joined a live coding bootcamp in Manhattan. SheCodes Basics provide a base-level understanding of how to code as well as concepts in a transparent manner. I have felt confident in my coding and have gained crucial knowledge in terms of the specific sector of the industry I would like to go into. It was really insightful and I'm glad I got the opportunity to gain this knowledge.
I am amazed at what I was able to learn in 3 weeks. Matt's teaching style made the content easy to understand and digest. The challenges at the end of each lesson were great at allowing me to apply what I had just learned. This helped me with retaining the lesson details so that I could easily apply them in the next lesson.
I found this workshop to be very informative and easy to follow, although not so easy that I feel like I didn't learn anything. I feel as though I now have a strong grasp of HTML and CSS basics and I can't wait to learn more!
SheCodes makes learning really fun with a great balance of theory, practicals and code-a-long videos. I've found that the structure of the lessons has helped me to pick up concepts quickly and you do feel you have achieved something each week with the homework tasks. I've also picked up lots of tools and tips that aren't necessarily taught in other self-learning platforms I've tried.
This course helped me to fully understand new things in HTML, CSS, and JS. Thanks to Matt's perfect teaching, practical challenges and homework, I love coding more than before!

I just lost my job, and I was really devastated. So I decided I'm going to start something new and expand my portfolio. SheCodes Basics gave me the perfect insight of what I could learn. Classes are easy to follow and explained well.
It was like learning that your phone or tv can do something that you didn't think was possible, and now that you know that you can do that thing, the possibilities are endless. Challenging, but very fun!

There were many tough moments when trying to figure out how to code certain parts of this project but I was able to complete this project thanks to Matt's clear instructional videos, the She Codes Slack community and even Athena-SheCodes'own AI assistant.
I really enjoyed completing SheCodes Plus. The course was well-structured, easy to follow and very good guidance/support. I would highly recommend SheCodes programs!

I was blown away by how the course structure made complex concepts so easy to grasp. The information was broken down into bite-sized pieces, which made it a breeze to follow. As a UX designer, I originally signed up for this workshop to learn basic coding to work better with frontend developers. But by the end of it, I found myself eager to explore the subject even more. Looking back, I wish I had taken this workshop years ago! I highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to expand their skillset or learn more about coding.

This has been a very insightful experience building this weather application, I already have a technical background outside of development and with the right fundamentals it was possible to excel my expectations and improve my knowledge to push further than ever and most of all I had a lot of fun while doing all this!
SheCodes Basic has been fun to learn! I really like that we are able to learn at our own pace. The lessons are explained well and it's great that we can rewatch the videos at any time. The challenges, homework assignments, and project have made me think but they've also been fun. I'm looking forward to moving on to the next set of Workshops!
I really liked how much we really dove into CSS in this course. I feel much more comfortable with styling now.
I’ve been working in retail, healthcare , and in Customer Service since I’ve graduated college. I currently work at a call center as a Customer Support Specialist and I was in desperate need of a career change. I was hesitant of making a big transition into coding until I gave it a shot to see if I would like it. I tried SheCodes and discovered a love and interest in coding.She code definitely helped me overcome imposter syndrome and gave me the confidence to want to learn how to code. I appreciated the flexibility or learning at my own pace and having workshops that are detailed and break concepts down to where it’s easy to follow along.I’m now going to focus on learning how to code to become a front end developer one day.
This is a good introduction course for newbies to coding. Weeks 1 and 2 were long, but you learn a lot about HTML, CSS, and Java. Week 3 was my favorite since you get to create a page from scratch. I recommend SheCodes to others that are curious about coding and webpage designing.
I have totally enjoyed my first experience of learning with SheCodes! The teaching is delivered well and I quickly saw progress in my understanding and achievement. Highly recommended!
The progressive teaching style is amazing!
I took quite a long time to complete these two weeks but am happy with my end result. It's interesting using multiple API sources and I found myself problem solving a lot more during the second week of lessons. Enjoyable and I'm glad to now have made a dictionary app to add to my portfolio!
I had a lot of fun diving deeper into react.js through this little practice-project.
I enjoyed learning all the new techniques in CSS and Java. Editing images with the transform function and learning the grid property in CSS was really fun. Thanks SheCodes!

This React Add-On course gave me more experience with React. React JS is a difficult concept to grasp but this extra course has helped me understand it more.

Another super fun course, specially because you can get more creative! Sometimes I felt and thought "what has Matt just did?!". But once you do it a 2nd/3rd time, it actually makes sense.
It felt so good being able to complete the beginner's course. Matt's instruction were easy to follow. I honestly don't think I could've done it without him. I cannot wait to continue on to the next workshop. I highly recommend

I thought I wasn't going to finish... this was so hard but so worth it! I can not believe that I created this. I know is very basic for a lot of developers, but this is a huge accomplishment for me. The AI was very helpful but the people in Slack and the fellow coders are always there to help. So happy I got to do this 🙌🏻

I absolutely enjoyed the workshop. The structure of the SheCodes workshops makes it easier to learn and understand/retain the information you're learning. The short lesson videos also helped me not to feel overwhelmed, thus making the workshop as a whole quite enjoyable.

I'm absolutely loving learning to code with SheCodes! The lessons are broken down and explained so well, it makes it super easy to understand! The schedule flexibility is also a life saver for me as I am a full time student and worker so I can only do so much every week, but this makes it convenient.
It was great to dust my basic knowledge in HTML, CSS and JavaScript in such a simple way. I really enjoyed the final project and the weekly challenges.
This was an excellent refresher on the foundations. I've dabbled in html and css but this was a really great walk through to get best practices. Plus, I'd never done javascript before so that was definitely helpful!

Wow, honestly the journey was interesting. I took my time, so I could thoroughly say I understood what I was digesting - highs and lows are bound to happen, just take your time and embrace it. When it came to each challenge I would say I genuinely enjoyed it, if you fall behind at any point, take it on the chin we are all experiencing life right now! 😊

In the SheCodes Responsive Workshop, the website I chose to build for my project was a developer portfolio. As I was creating my online portfolio, it was amazing to see how much I have grown as a frontend developer since starting the SheCodes Workshops!
Thank you for this course. It was hard, it was overwhelming and very challenging. It took me much longer that first expected to finish but it gave me a good and solid base that could be used for future if I decide to move forward.
