SheCodes is really the best way to learn to code. The video explanations are easy to understand and easy to follow. Having finished the Basic workshop, I saw how the team really thought of the smallest things that would help the participants in their learning journey. They provided all these additional resources which are very useful to beginners: cheatsheets, tools, fast support from the team, and access to a community of learners, etc.

They were things I just thought I would not be able to do in this lifetime. For example build an actual weather app that shows the current date, temperature, time and the forecast for the next day. But with Shecodes I managed to learn how to do it in a matter of weeks and also build my own. This has truly taught me that anything is possible when it comes to coding.It just needs consistency, patience and an amazing team from Shecodes !

React is challenging (in a good way 🤭) but as usual, SheCodes does a great job walking through the different steps to help you build on each.

As someone with little to no experience in coding prior to attending this program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum. However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive and the community was supportive, and the curriculum was structured in such a way that even complete beginners like me were able to grasp the concepts. What I appreciated most about the SheCodes was the emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of just reading about coding concepts in a textbook or watching lectures, we were actually coding from day one. Not only did this help solidify the concepts we were learning, but it also made the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. I enjoyed the SheCodes basics class, as everything was explained in a simple manner. Theres help when you need it on Slack and you find other ladies who might have the same problem as you and you get to help each other. The road is still long to become a software developer but this was a great stepping stone.

I have really enjoyed my SheCodes Basics experience, the platform worked really well with my preferred learning style of hands-on, allowing me to get stuck in with the experiential practice. I found it challenging in a positive way, spending hours immersed in focussed problem-solving and feeling a great sense of achievement upon completing the tasks. It was also great to see the elements of HTML, CSS and Javascript come together for the final project!

I'm a Security Analyst, new to the industry and working as an Ethical Hacker. This course helped me an incredible amount as it'll help me to identify and understand HTML/CSS/JavaScript code when hunting & exploiting vulnerabilities.
Excellent course, would highly recommend to everyone who would like to start coding! Each week, there are a number of tutorials which you can watch when convenient and you can apply what you learned in the homework assignment. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and the homework is exactly the right level of challenging.

What a fantastic introduction to coding! After completing four SheCodes workshops, I feel empowered to make my own projects and continue my journey with web development. React isn't the easiest to learn, but Matt is an excellent teacher and the Slack team is amazing. The learning is project-based, fun, and engaging. I highly recommend!
It was a very simple project but with a lot of different techniques being applied. I think it was over-simplified at times - I know that if I wouldn't have a bit of previous knowledge (I mean deeper than she codes basisc) some concepts would have been confusing. Also I think it should have proper english captions, instead of the automatic ones.
SheCodes Plus a bit challenging but worth the hard work. I enjoyed every second of the course, Matt’s way of teaching is remarkable and engaging. Many things to learn, I was looking forward to learn the API and the functionality in more advanced level. Team are so helpful and kind. Highly recommend the course, and can’t wait to progress further.

I started the SheCodes Basics course to help me with my current employment, as a digital marketer I make regular updates to our company's website, manage Google Tag Manager, Email Marketing and much more. Everyday is a testimony, every solved code for me calls for celebration. I remember attending the first free session with Matt and I wanted to cry. I understood nothing. I was filled with fear. However, with a strong and dedicated mindset, I proceeded to apply. Today I am happy with the amount of knowledge I have gotten from the BASIC course. That mountain I saw? It was not really a mountain. It was a heap of sand that looked too high from afar. I cannot wait to move forward and grow more within this tech journey. As I said in this project, I say again: It will end in #WomenInTech.

I took a hiatus from my project on SheCodes. But when I returned, I found it easy to relearn some of the basics/pick up where I left off.
