Khreschatyk Street
The main street of Kyiv, the central street, is a must-see. Only

bustling, and even during the war, Khreshchatyk remains the
capital's most visited street. The Kyiv City Council, the Central
Department Store, the Kyiv Philharmonic, the Conservatory, two
metro stations, administrative buildings, cinemas, shops, hotels,
and restaurants are all located on Khreshchatyk.

The Motherland Monument
The Motherland Monument is one of the most prominent symbols of

one is located on the pedestal's and the sculpture's border (36
meters), and the other is on the arm with the shield (91 meters).
St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Cathedral
Spectacular building of the St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Cathedral,
jutting out into the sky with two slender towers, is one of the
most unusual and beautiful buildings in the Old Kyiv. Raised in
untypical for Ukraine's capital Neo Gothic style, it significantly
stands out against the background of other buildings at the city's
downtown and inevitably amazes Kyiv's locals and guests.
Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra
One of the most well-known and oldest temple complexes in the
country, dating back to 1051. You can spend hours here exploring
the sacred architecture, the mystery of the caves, and the
numerous museums. Whatever you believe, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra
can provide you with some peace of mind.
St. Andrew's Church
The beautiful St. Andrew's Church was built in 1756 by renowned
Italian architect, Bartolomeo Rastrelli, at the request of Queen
Elisabeth, daughter of Peter the Great. It’s one of the most
beautiful churches in Kyiv, located in the Podil district. To get
here, you should walk up Andriyivsky Uzviz which is a major
tourist attraction in its own right, lined with stalls selling
typical Ukranian souvenirs.
Podil
Podil is one of the city's oldest and most beautiful districts.
Today, this area delights visitors with its low-rise houses from
the last century, narrow streets, and unique atmosphere. Two
ancient squares (Kontraktova and Postova), Kyiv-Mohyla Academy,
Gostinny Dvir, Samson fountain, and the lower station of a rare
mode of transportation - the funicular - are all concentrated
here. There are also many amazing restaurants in the area.
People's Friendship Arch
Peoples' Friendship Arch - opened in 1982 as part of the
celebration of Kyiv's 1500th anniversary and the USSR's 60th
anniversary. In Soviet times, the monument was known as the
Monument to Commemorate Ukraine's Reunification with russia. Since
there will never be friendship with russia anymore, the Arch was
renamed as the Ukrainian people's Arch of Freedom.
