Above you can see how Warsaw looked before World War II. By 1939 it was already home to almost 1,300,000 people, ranking the seventh biggest city in Europe, ahead of Rome or Madrid. Despite being a very industrialized city, Warsaw was beautiful, diverse and truly European, often referred to as „the Paris of the North”. Rarely in human history, modern or ancient, there is a situation when an entire city goes through total destruction. Look below what happend in the edn of II World War.

This is a picture we usually can see in apocalyptic movies or video games. And it is usually caused by either epic catastrophy, alien invasion or other villan destructive activities. However it has taken an actual place last century with Warsaw during World War II and it's been thoroughly planned and executed.Unfortunetelly now you can see what they done.
By January 1945, between 85% and 90% of the buildings had been completely destroyed; this includes up to 10% as a result of the September 1939 campaign and following combat, up to 15% during the earlier Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, 25% during the Uprising, and 40% due to systematic German demolition of city after the uprising.

The decision on the capital’s reconstruction was made on the January 12, 1945, even before the Polish First Army advanced into the eastern side of the capital. On the November 11, 2018, as Poles were celebrating the centenary of Poland regaining independence, the president of Poland, announced plans to reconstruct the palace.
