"Tanok na Maidani Congo" ("TNMK") is a Ukrainian band that performs music in the styles of rapcore, hip-hop, rock and funk. The first prototype of the band was created on June 14, 1989 in Kharkiv (Ukrahine) by two friends and current members of TNMK: Fozzi and Kotya. The band was originally called "Novi Doma"("New buildings" or "New houses"). The band started working as TNMK in 1996.On suggestion of the band's wind instruments performer Maksym Lytvynenko, the band changed its name to "Tanok na Maidani Congo" after the Congo Square in New Orleans, which is considered to be a place where jazz was born.
It seems that not many hip-hop groups collaborate with symphony orchestras. However, TNMK did it. In their creative output, they have the album "Sympho Hip-Hop" created in cooperation with Youth Academic Symphony Orchestra "Slobozhansky". This is an amazing combination! And I would like you to feel this sound and fully enjoy it. For a greater sense of presence in the concert hall, I suggest you use headphones and press the "ON AIR" button.
I suggest to your attention to watch the concert performance of TNMK and the Orchestra "Slobozhansky" with a song called "Tam de ti ye"("There where you are"). The guys dedicated this composition to the memory of the protesters who died on Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Kyiv, Ukraine) during the Revolution of Dignity, who were later called "Heavenly Company".
