Mary Anning

Mary Anning (1799- 1847) was born into a poor family and lacked formal education. Despite this, she made huge contributions to the field of paleontology and became one of the foremost experts on fossils. She wasn't credited at the time for her discoveries because she was a woman and came from an uneducated background. But she was determined and continued her work and succeeded in proving everyone wrong.
